@Prints Avoid I wasn't trying to be rude. I was saying it as my character. In this version, with them being impossible to catch insanely powerful, maybe people would consider them gods, but not creators. They haven't proven they have anywhere near the power needed to create a world or life. Anyone who was an actual atheist would probably just consider them to be insanely powerful pokemon, though.
Ah forgive me, I misunderstood. And I should clarify that I only meant Arceus as a creator.
@Prints Avoid Well, duh, of course they're just pokemon. Do you think a god would let themselves get caught? If I was strong enough, I could even use a pokeball to do it, and not even have to use a decent ball. And don't even get me started on the fact that it could be killed by even a Ratatta.
Well, that was a quite rude way to just shut down all my speculation. I know that in the games they're just Pokemon. I'm just talking about the universe Zenn came up with for this RP. Legendaries are god-like and impossible to catch. I don't think a Rattata could take down a Pokemon with the power it takes to create the universe.
It's possible. Like I said he's kind of a casual... Arceist? So he'll just nr thinking these radicals need to chill out. But at the same time anyone who's trying to worship anything other than Arceus is obviously wrong in his eyes. In the same way that you'd react to someone saying the sky is green and the sun rises in the west. Which is funny cause this is a world where their gods can literally duke it out. Wonder where atheists would fit into all of this. Just go around claiming that Arceus and Rayquaza are just Pokemon. They didn't create anything. Actually in that sense they may tolerate worship of Rayquaza since it's a sort of protector and not a "God". But now I'm rambling and since I'm on my phone I can't go back and check again on what you said about Rayquaza in the OP so I'll put off thinking about it for now.
@Prints Avoid Did you want to get involved in some of the plot once you've met with Rowan?
Yeah, I think so. I'm not entirely sure how though. Just find a way to meet up with everyone else?
Yeah, I sent him to Eterna just because a month seemed to long to travel between Jubilife and Sandgem. And since he passing through Floaroma, maybe he and @Pie Flavor's character can meet up
Wow. So much going on. I did just realize though, that with Nolan's protective older brother on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, both the Slytherin Quidditch team and Nolan are never going to hear the end of this. Whether he gets involved or not. This is great.
There we go, opening post ready to go. I changed it a few times so let me know if you find anything weird. I'll proabbly go back and fix some small grammar errors later.
"Urrrggghhh," Amos groaned as he stretched his arms over his head. The pair of Kricketot he had been watching jumped, startled by the sound. The xylophone-like chirps of their antennae filled the air as they scampered of into the brush. He leafed through the pages of his notebook, a neat but unorganized tangle of observations. There were a few crude sketches thrown in, but they were barely recognizable. He was still working on his drawing."That's definitely enough about those things," he said aloud to no one in particular. He slowly got up from where he seated beneath a large sprawling tree and shook some feeling back into his legs. He'd been sitting there for three hours now, moving only to scribble an occasional note. A light breeze picked up, but it gave him enough of a chill to bring his hoodie out of his pack and pull it on over his black tank, leaving it unzipped. He frowned, noticing the bits of leaves that had clung to the hoodie and the dirt smudged on it in areas. He then pulled a Pokeball out of his pack, smiling warmly as he did so. "All right, I'm done. Come on out and take a look around, Bliss!" In a flash of light, the Aipom emerged from. Free to explore, she swiftly made her way up the tree and disappeared into it to explore its branches. Amos looked off to the north, absent-mindedly rubbing at his back. He was sure Floraroma Town wasn't too much farther ahead; he felt he could see it off in the distance. When he had set out from home, he had quickly realized aimless wandering and research would get him nowhere so he set out to find Professor Rowan and request a position as a field researcher. He had all his old notebooks and reports as well his new notebooks. Unfortunately, his initial trip to Sandgem Town hadn't worked out as Professor Rowan was away in Eterna City. Rather than wait around, he'd decided to take off and try and meet him in Eterna City or at least find him along the road. His trip through Jubilife City had been quick, as he didn't want to risk running into family and being teased mercilessly for returning so quickly. This had left him a little less prepared for the road to Eterna. Then there was the day he got stuck on the Ravaged Path after a rockfall blocked his path. He had battled and taken more notes on Zubats than he ever cared to see again by the time another trainer came around and had his Geodude clear the path. He was nearing Floaroma, and already he was running out of food -- if you could even call it "food". He was desperate to reach civilization again. The Aipom scampered down the tree once more and climbed up his back, settling comfortably on top of his head. Amos laughed and pulled out a pair of berries form his hoodie pocket, handing it to his Pokemon."Well, let's get going. I think we might be able to make it to town before nightfall." Bliss nodded agreeably as she devoured the berries.
@Prints Avoid yeah, I should have made that more clear haha. I like your character history, and an Aipom nice! any idea what you'll be doing first?
Hoenstly I'm not sure. From the goal I've set for him, he'll be moving through regions pretty slowly. So unless I find some reason for him to have a set destination it's a lot of sitting around in the wild watching Pokemon and complaining, moving on occasionally. I think it might work out in my favor to have him seek out Professor Rowan, who could give him assignments and such. "Go research the Snover, see how they behave differently when they've evolved", go visit Johto and see if you can find any difference in the Aipom there, etc. etc
Oh okay, so like on TV?
