Current Teaching myself web development by trying to fix some BBCode bugs/features in the Guild is probably a bad idea. Oh, well.

If school were less hard, it'd be less interesting. I still want it to be less hard, though.

Ya know, maybe choosing a team of Baseball players wasn't the best idea. Especially when they're going up against Warhammer 40K Orcs. Meh. I'll make it work some how. But first I'll need a boat...

And if it ever gets too out of hand (read: unfun for everyone but, like, two people), I can always throw a couple of "mega events" at the world of Patchwork. Just to shake things up.
No worries.
If you're willing to take yet more players, I'm interested. But that's okay if you're not.
Oh thank God. An acceptable explanation for Zat behavior. You get a gold star from me.
Age is all in your head. Let the doctors worry about everything else.
Sounds like a case of ADD. I'm no psychiatrist, though.

My favorite English teacher always said that therew was a disconnect between our brains and typing that isn't there when you use an actual pen or pencil. A pen takes longer; it lets you think about what you've said, are going to say, and are saying right now.
Life: Something to do while we wait around to die.
The Island at 5,6:
Jungle. Strange birds chirp as they flit from one exotic plant to another. Heat and humidity are oppressive. In the distance the throaty growl of an Ork Fighta Bomba aggressively draws near. In a deserted concrete and glass building, a computer alarm chirps; radar automatically recognized the approach of an aircraft.

From the sky, the jungle island looms from fog, mountainous to the north and south, gradual plains ending in a sharp cliff face to the east. The jungle is cleared away in the west to form a grassy airstrip. Trails are occasionally visible, snaking through trees. Toward the center of the island, a few cheerfully-colored buildings are visible, and a few concrete tops peek from the trees, as well. As the plane goes further east, it becomes obvious that the plains are not entirely natural. An asphalt and concrete path snakes around the plains, surrounded on either side by a tall wire fence. A river glistens brightly in the sunlight. Then the jungle takes over again, and just as quickly as the aircraft found the island, it disappears back into fog.

The hex at 8,6:
As the aircraft approaches, it becomes clear that something highly unnatural is going on with this island. For one thing, the entire thing appears to be made of cubes. For another, one half of the island is fertile forest while the other half is an abrupt mountain range, made primarily of rock. Cows, pigs, and sheep, and chickens indiscriminately wander both mountain peaks, forest, and sinkholes. A few caves here and there dot the terrain.

The barge at 3,2
An enourmous floating barge. The ship sports a massive glass dome, and underneath, farmland is visible. As the plane approaches, it becomes clear that it is more than just a floating farm (although plenty of crops are visible). Buildings (which appear to extend down to the waterline) dot the landscape, and far below and inbetween them is a series of canals.

To the west, of course, the aircraft won't find anything of interest but ocean. Although, at one point, a particular patch of water looks like the shape of a rebel in a tiny wooden rowboat with a shovel, but it just turns out to be a patch of water after all.
