Jak, preoccupied with looking for Naoto, was startled by Daisuke yelling to save him. She pulled open the trap door above him and stared. "You know, I'm not your babysitter. One of these days you're going to do something truly stupid and I won't be able to help." she held out her hand for him to grab. How does he managed to get in this much trouble? He acts like he's five most of the time. "Well, he's not down here at least..." Jak said, noting that if Daisuke had seen him then it was likely he would have run towards him.
I have to hand it to the guy, he's good. I didn't think anyone could make people vanish like that. I should check outside next, but even then it's a long shot. There's a lot of people out there, and I don't think Prospero wanted a crowd. how was he doing this? Something more than cheap tricks was involved, she knew it. She just didn't know exactly what else was going on. Real magic didn't exist, but those flames did. What if they did things other than burn or be like Vector's? This is all just guesswork, I don't even know how those flames are made anyway.
Artemis was, at first, grateful to be able to speak in English. She hadn't heard Prospero's command, but she figured it had something to do with the Mafia. This Michael made her wary, but he was probably part of the Vongola as well. He seemed to get along with the energetic black haired one, anyway. "Okay, so I was... doing some research on the properties of Dying Will Flames, since they seem prominent in Mafia circles, but there's no information as to why. When this guy comes up from behind me with a gun. I think he's going to shoot me, but instead of shootin' me right there and then he asks where this guy, Naoto Alato, lives. So I gave him some really old info and he left. He was definitely an assassin looking for you guys."
The information about the Dying Will Flames was partially true, she was indeed very interested in them. However, she hadn't been researching them when the gun was put to her head. Though, she didn't want them to think she was a stalker or something, prowling their Facebooks and Twitters for information. That would give off the wrong first impression and she didn't want to be on the other side of their weapons. They could all be cold blooded killers, after all. Better to not start with her obsession with their Mafia group's technology. She'd get there -maybe.
