Question: do you want only realistic pictures? I can find realistic, but it'll be a bit more difficult and I want to know what to look for before we start.
@VandyHaha it sounds more and more similar.

@RainDashI don't know what would draw your thief in, but I feel like my paladin would object to his actions. He wouldn't do anything more than that and after objecting once he would back off and just be casual again. He would probably be friends as he sees the thief as someone to convert and as someone that could be useful later on. Plus if he grew up in a strict castian family, thiefs would seem like a lot of fun to him and be someone he would like to have as a friend. Not sure how you want your thief to feel, but the snarky attitude shouldn't be a problem for the paladin. As long as the thief doesn't mind being ignored slightly if he gets too snarky. For meeting I like the roomate thing a little more, the training partners could work just as well and if you have any other ideas I'm open to them. If there's a third person that is more in the middle of us we could both be friends with that person and meet that way. Any way we do this is fine with me.

I'm torn between him having no family or just one that's not particularly religious. Both so your character can try to convert them and that my character really doesn't care to be converted. Pretty much they just blank out when the preaching begins. So there's pretty much ignoring going on on both sides depending on the topic.

I agree, being training partners would be kind of a mismatch. But I'd like to stick to the roommate scenario since it gives them a bit more common ground and we can work with a third person being known by one or the other. Or like maybe a third roommate? Whatever works for that person.
Cool, I'm up for this plot idea, and I'm pretty excited for it.

I feel like a lot of jokes start this way. Or adventures that end up with quite a few jokes.

And yeah I chose this because it seemed to fill roles an assassin-y thief would be lacking in, and I could have fun with it.

I like the idea of the kind of the banter between the two. Oh, should we work on how they know each other? Like... roommates or something?
A paladin and a sarcastic ass go out to fight monsters...

Truth be told I tend to form my characters according to the sheets that are put up, so this probably won't be the final character set up.
Always a nice thing to see though.
I want to do something assassin-y, or a thief like character with a snarky attitude.
Is there space for another pilot/commando? Sounds like so of my favorite movies and animes :)

The max is 8 and we just hit the minimum, so I think we do have room still. :)

Well as far as nations go I have a pretty good idea of what I want so I should be good there. The way magic works is something that I am struggling with right now. Another thing you could help with is the different kinds of monsters that populate the world. Lastly I could use some help fleshing out the religions.

For magic... hmmm, we could make mana external energy that mages can manipulate and use and various monsters could have this energy on them too, since they kinda ruined the world?

The DnD monster book is a good idea, but there are cockatrices, goblins, trolls, giants, griffons, slimes, and of course, werewolves. The default races, but it's late and I'd need to look for the really cool monsters.

Basically do you want one big religion or multiple? Monotheistic or Polytheistic? How much power does the church have?
Not particularly, but if you have anything specific I'm good for being a sounding board for ideas and nitpicking them. So far I like the idea, but I'd need a little more time to pick through the ideas in the RP. Anything you're still missing but want to talk about in particular?
