Hi, sorry for the wait, here's the student I wanted to replace my dwarf divination teacher with.

Appearance: Standing at around 6 feet tall, with dirty blonde hair, a lean build and rather delicate (often tired-looking) facial features that include eyes of a dark blue shade, he's tall, but pale and otherwise not very impressive-looking. He usually wears sturdy clothing, clothing that he expects he will be wearing more often soon and is practical rather than comfortable to try and get himself used to it (even though he seems to struggle with it). His usual attire consists of robust boots, a leather overtunic with a shirt underneath and fitting breeches, and a cloak at the back. He even has taken to wear chainmail over that leather.

Name: Victor Leveton

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Personality: He has everything going for him - a great pedigree, fantastic teachers back at home, rich family - everything except talent. What others pick up easily, like magic or combat, he has to work hard for, and tends to underachieve even then. Tries his best to be kind and courteous, to be a perfect example of shine and goodness, but doesn't quite do it as his lack of talent compared to his family leaves him with low self-confidence and he tends to get quite worked up over it, his shortcomings making him either sad or angry, and oftentimes jealous of those with more talent. Tends to spend a lot of time training by himself to improve. Crumbles under stress. Due to most of his life revolving around trying to fulfill the expectations laid on him, he has few hobbies to pursue, but he enjoys the quiet of nature when he has some free time between the bunch of classes he is made to attend.

Powers: An average swordsman and below average in most other regards, like magic, archery and so on. In fact the only thing he has shown to be actually good at is horseback riding. He might have other talents that are yet to be discovered, but if he does, they certainly don't belong to anything that gets taught at the academy.

Position: Third year

Other: none

Will wait to see if it's approved and then start posting asap if it is. :)
Hi, if the ratios in staff/pupils don't fit, i'd be happy to make a student as well and swap my dwarf out for that. Dunno, might be preferrable to increasing the count of people lest the entire thing gets really bloated. We'll see though.
Oh nah, I can totally see where you're coming from with that. It would be a bit odd because I can hardly just ask other players "WHAT IS YOUR CHARACTER THINKING". Or I could, but it would just be obnoxious. I'll change it up some, if that's okay!

I just changed it up from "discerning lies and other's thoughts" to just "discerning lies", the character works just as well without that mind-reading jazz. If that's still too god-modey or just doesn't work, just give me a heads up and i'll think of something. Having my character come off as too powerful isn't really something I intended.
Appearance: Standing at 4'3" with a scraggy, thin build and a filthy look even for a dwarf, long grey unkempt hair and a sizable matted beard fitting his overall look, Marok's physical features make him look much older than he actually is. Usually seen wearing grey robes (older students swear they were white once, but that seems to be more a myth than anything) that have spots of brown mud all over. His face is rugged and as dirty as the rest of him, with his blue eyes and his big nose making an expression of constant grumbling, and in general he looks like a dour dwarf who believes washing is a sin. His habit of keepĂng small rats and spiders in his clothes does not help that image.

Name: Marok Gravelface

Age: 39

Gender: Male

Race: Dwarf

Personality: Actually quite friendly contrary to his looks, but a little odd in a lot of ways, which makes him distanced to most people - making friends is a lot harder when you can tell when somebody is lying and you can read their mind, after all. So many years of being able to know people in and out makes him neutral to most things, and as such he's not judgmental at all. Like most dwarves he enjoys his cursing and sarcasm. Incredibly protective of small animals for some reason, to the extent of keeping them on his body and carrying them around.

Powers: He's a diviner: being able to cast spells that predict the future (in a shady and oftentimes not helpful way), discerning lies when those without strong minds speak them, detecting things and creatures that are hidden from sight, and so on - he reads the strands of fate and sees things for how they really are. Pretty useless in actual combat though, and as he barely knows which end of the sword to grasp, he is a firm believer in the "run away and beg for mercy" strategy when faced with actual dangerous situations.

Position: Teaches the magic of Divination (see Powers) to those interested.

Other: none!
I'll just go ahead and signal interest as well. Don't really have any character in mind yet, but i'll come up with something soon!
Hi, I was just curious, do I need to have a picture for the appearance or will a thorough description do?
