Aww yis, the city of "not poisoned and due to die soon", population: me.
Victor finally did make it to the class, knocking twice before letting himself in, having a very annoyed look on his face before giving the Survival teacher a stiff nod in respect more than anything before closing the door behind him. "Well sir, I apologise for my late arrival, but I was held up by something." It was about all the information he was about to disclose, but he didn't think empty politeness would matter much to the undead teacher anyway - and he wouldn't pretend to love this class. If any of what he heard about James rang true, that'd probably serve as a mild annoyance, at best. Letting out a little sigh, he sat himself down in an empty chair that wasn't adjacent to anyone - not that he knew any of the other students anyway, except for those that well, were, hard to overlook. The boy took a few seconds to calm himself down before looking at his teacher in the front "...anyway, sorry, sir. You asked to drink this, yes?" before taking his eyes off him and taking a closer look at the vial in front of him with a curious expression on his face while he shook the potion in his hand just a little bit, inspecting it from every angle.
It's like 5 AM where I live, gotta cut me some slack!
The young student yawned. He'd been at the banquet for far too long - he didn't even like crowds very much, and the area around him seemed to just get flooded with people who wanted to talk to the young teacher right next to him - not him, of course, which was something that he was glad about even though it bothered him a little at the same time. Mumbling out an apology, he pushed his chair back and stood up, carefully pushing it back so it wouldn't stand in the way of anyone, before moving through the crowd of people to the exit. A breath of air would do him a world of good, and then he could work on getting some sleep before classes started in the morning.
I must inform you, before you mess with me, that I have multiple pencils of different colour and size, that includes crayons, and I poke to kill.
Going off on a limb here and saying that maybe it wasn't to be taken quite that seriously.
Everybody has sort of odd things they're into, I suppose. 'long as you don't flaunt them around at every given opportunity ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Victor yawned and laid back in his chair, looking at how things developed - he didn't really feel like interjecting or adding anything to the conversation at the moment and was quite content just watching people, drunk and sober, stumble around trying to impress each other, talking about their subjects, their hobbies, what they wanted to do... and in the cases of some people, their sort of odd antics. He didn't quite think a banquet was the right place to threaten each other, but then again, his soon-to-be Survival teacher did the very same thing... there were a few things he'd never get used to in this academy, evidently.
When he saw how carefully, daintily even the teacher next to him went at her food, Victor felt a little embarassed and set his own fork down, stopping his eating and avoiding a good bit of the poison by sheer coincidence alone, unbeknownst to him. He was raised well, and should really know better than to eat without care, he realised as he stopped his eating for now and turned his attention towards her. "My name's Victor. Odd name for me, one would think, I know." Giving her a polite smile, he turned his attention towards the crowd of people - the ones that caused a fuss. He never really liked great crowds of people either, but he was alright watching the drunkards and the more obvious students from afar... studying them, imagining what it would be like being confronted by them and what he would do. After a little while, he realised he didn't get a response to his last sentence. Looking back at the elf, one of his eyebrows was raised when he saw her dozing off in a way. "...are you quite alright, miss?"
...if it says "copy your post before you submit", you should probably listen to that because the website going offline or crashing isn't that uncommon yet. Not like that would happen to me or anything.
