Player: ravenDivinity
Name: Elias Corvorum Graeff
Spiritual Race: Chosen
Age: 16 - Junior
Gender: Male
Appearance: Elias's dark brown eyes, although softening and welcoming, offer a glimpse of his elusive, adamant, and defiant soul and seem so strong as to drive out demons in their wake. They are framed by brown hair so dark that it might as well be black and by a somewhat smooth yet square-jawed bone structure. His soft, supple skin is olive and unmarked with no tattoos or markings of any sort. Elias stands with good posture at an average height of 5'10" and a normal weight of roughly 150 pounds, complemented by only some hard-earned muscle and somewhat wide hips. On a regular basis, he wears Prussian blue jeans and whatever T-shirt, baseball tee, or long-sleeved shirt he pulls from the closet, and typical sensibility about the weather marks his outfits. When appropriate, he'll wear tan pants or cargo shorts, and if he's feeling fancy, he might wear a sweater or a dress shirt with rolled-up sleeves. The dashing fox in him also has a soft spot for suits and ties. A winged sword necklace around his neck has become typical of his appearance.
Personality: A solemn, shy shadow follows Elias wherever he goes, and sometimes depressed and anxious musings plague him. Beyond that, he approaches with some reluctance as he yields to those around him if their will is not against his, but in the face of manipulators and oppressors, Graeff is a free, rebellious boy in his unyielding thoughts and transcendental virtues, giving rise to philosophy and intellectualism. His deadly sin, however, is melancholic sloth and angered wrath. Elias remains fairly optimistic despite all that discourages, and he espouses wishful thinking and hope. He often tests authority that he doesn't trust whether vocally or underhandedly, and he is well-versed when he chooses to speak.
Background: Union Hill is the only home Elias has ever known although he's traveled to his immigrant mother's home in the Philippines and seen the canyons and deserts of the West from Texas to Arizona, the swamps and bogs of Louisiana, and the coast of the Gulf of Mexico from Louisiana to east Florida. The unmoving nature of his home pushes him to seek what is beyond Union Hill and the fantastical world outside the United States. More influential in his upbringing is the Roman Catholic Church, which his mother raised him under since he popped out, and even in his devotion, he breaks the norms of the Church with a deep-seated attractions to the same gender, a deviating variety of opinions that stray from their doctrines and politicized dogma, and a cursing scorn for hypocrisy and other members of the congregation, all of these divergent traits emerging from 4 years of staunch atheism. Graeff enjoys a relatively small circle of friends that balances the various aspects of his spontaneous and wildly uncontrollable personality.

Player: Mousia
Name: Valentina “Val” Cortez
Spiritual Race: one of the Chosen
Age: Seventeen (junior in high school)
Gender: Female (cis-gender, presents androgynously)
Appearance:
The Cheat Sheet
The Written Description
Valentina Cortez prefers function over fashion, which one could deduce before even meeting her. Her toned frame is kept up by working in her parents’ bakery on weekdays after school and all day on Saturdays, and her habit of tying her hair up in a ponytail, bun, or braid (an added bonus being the fact that this showed off her expressive coal-black eyes) was born out of necessity working there. Despite her somewhat short stature, she keeps up with her brothers, though she still has scars from years-forgotten fights with them and falls from trees and such. Due to being the youngest, she never really acquired a taste for femininity, so she often wears more masculine clothes, such as cargo pants, loose jeans, and cargo shorts and plain shirts with modest necklines. Val, as such, received and still receives protest from her parents and grandmother. In an act of teenage rebellion, she got both her nose and eyebrow pierced by a trusted friend. Though she is satisfied with the results, she wishes that she hadn’t rushed into the decision so much, because she got in even more trouble for it.
Personality:
The Good
The Bad
Background: Ethnically Mexican, Val had a traditional Roman Catholic upbringing from which she rebelled fairly early on, citing the intolerance demonstrated by many of those around her. Nevertheless, her family accepted her decision surprisingly well. She lives with her three older brothers (Francisco “Frankie” Cortez, 22; Pedro Cortez, 20; Ricardo “Ricky” Cortez, 19), who also work at the bakery, her parents (Maria Cortez, 37; Manuel Cortez, 40), and her maternal grandmother (Margarita Cortez, 54). She is very close to her brothers, notably Ricky, because they were her primary caretakers during childhood, despite them only having been a few years older than Val herself. All of her family was born in a border town of Tijuana, Mexico, but they moved out to Texas when Val was six years old. Nevertheless, they have retained their Mexican culture, speaking primarily Spanish at home and partaking in their traditional activities. At some point during middle school, Val noticed some attractions she had to other girls, though it wasn’t until her freshman year of high school that she came out of the closet to more people than just Ricky and some close friends. Frankie and Pedro accepted her with open arms immediately, which was important during the time during which her parents and grandmother had to adjust to the knowledge. By the end of her sophomore year, she found herself feeling more at home with her family, and the air was much less charged between them. Now she finds a comfortable rhythm and predictability in her life, though that will soon be changed.

Background:
Abilities: Not available.
Spiritual Race: Chosen
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Claude stands at 5'5” and he's the shortest boy in his grade. Luckily, he isn't the lankiest as he's got a swimmer's body maintained by routine visits to the pool and weighs in at 134 lbs. Always mindful of his appearance, he makes sure that he looks his best. His tawny hair is styled just so to be orderly in the back and give him a clean cut look in the front even when he ruffles his bangs into orderly chaos. His cloudy gray, upturned eyes give him a dreamy look and eye makeup, except for the occasional eye liner, is not a line he's willing to cross yet. He takes great care to keep his skin blemish free and his “peach bisque” tone intact so he rarely ventures out without sun screen or swims outdoors. Claude's never really considered getting any tattoos or piercings before, but he does think they look cool on people who have them. He enjoys wearing dark outfits with a bright colored accessory or a bright outfit with a dark accessory. The accessory tends to be one of his many neck scarves ranging from satin, silk, polyester, cashmere, whatever he can get his hands on. When the mood hits him, he wears giant hoodies and comfortable sweaters. Claude has sworn passionately that he will never wear hats because they mess up his hair, one of his best features.
Personality:
Positive
Negative
Background:
Born and raised in Strasbourg, France Claude moved to Union Hill, Texas in his freshman year. His mother, Élise, decided that America would be a great chance to give her son opportunities he would never get if he stayed in France the rest of his life; his father, Luc, said nothing as he had been off gallivanting with different women since Claude was ten. Élise had great credentials as a successful beautician in Strasbourg and saved enough money to take her and her son to a town she pointed to on a map. In America, Claude's mother opened up her own beauty parlor in Union Hill, Texas where Claude worked and helped out in after school and on the weekends. Claude adapted better than expected and his English only had a small accent to it, but he enjoyed the chance to go to America. He was less thrilled when he learned about the area and town he would be living in. He and his mom were liberals and atheists and just so not the Christian Republican ideal of Texas. When he arrived to Union Hill's high school in freshman year, Claude garnered a large group of amicable acquaintances and became a part of a trio with his close friends, Ian and Damon. Though he's not a fan of prejudice, Claude does enjoy using stereotypes to his advantage and gets away with being uncomfortably close to people and what he's heard called “being flamboyantly gay” to which he laughs at because it's called being flamboyantly bisexual in his case.

Name: Cairn Scribe
Spiritual Race: The Blinded
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Cairn's amber eyes are piercing and bright, even with the bags under his eyes, and especially in comparison to his otherwise cold and dark appearance. His somewhat long, well-kempt hair curls slightly and flows, creating an almost inky effect from its jet black coloring. Cairn's skin is extremely pale, despite being outside most of the time. Long scars are etched across the back of his neck, and there are several heavy scars on his right hand that cause it to look almost mutilated. Though he stands at a tall 6'4", he weighs only about 157 pounds and seems to be hard to notice unless you look at him. He wears a wrinkled hoodie that's an indistinguishable mix of maroon and black, along with dark grey casual sweatpants. Though his build is somewhat slender, he still has quite a bit of strength.
Personality:
Cairn, despite being dark-minded and cynical to the point of simply separating himself from most of society, is inexplicably and unwittingly kind to everyone. Caught in an infinite loop of hating himself and others, Cairn developed a stoic and impersonal facade to hide the anger that builds up inside of him. While listening to other peoples' problems can let him sympathize, trying to talk about his own causes him to quickly lose absolutely all of his cool; on several occasions, he nearly gnawed apart his hand from the anger, causing others to question how stable he was. Despite his... anger issues, Cairn is still stable enough that he can think through things logically, and most of his morals remain intact. He tends to be negative, but will endlessly support the few that he trusts. He's persistent and is dedicated to whatever he decides to do.
Background:
Though Cairn can't remember where he lived before Union Hill, he distinctly remembers his "kind" parents that sold him off into labor for work. He worked for a few years in a factory before eventually coming to understand the situation he was in. He made a plan with a few of the other slaves to escape from that place. However, they were caught because a "friend" of theirs had told the owner; Cairn had distrusted people since he was sold away, but upon seeing that traitorous person being rewarded, something inside him broke. Hitting the guard in a particularly sensitive zone, Cairn managed to break away into the wilderness. Figuring that he'd die outside, they didn't bother to chase him. However, he did. Cairn, wanting to get as far away from that place as possible, used what change he could find to ride busses south. After decided he was far away enough, he settled down in Union Hill to start a new life. He does several part-time jobs.
