I'm feeling really happy and pumped. Oh, and joyful. Haha.
Bio
Here's a list of things about me if you want to know a little bit more. Though if you actually want to get to know me, send me a PM, or talk over the OOC chat.
1. I don't generally like roleplays where my characters are forced to be serious 100% of the time; mostly because that's not how actual people work.
2. Yes, I use anime pictures for appearances. I've come to like anime less and less over the years, and personally only ever watch the movies now, and that's on incredibly rare occasions. I personally like using those over actual people faces, because people have too many specific details, and I can never find people faces that match the description I want. If you would like, I can use a text description instead.
3. I generally like to make 'pairs' of characters. Either characters that seriously contrast with each other, or work together really well but still have arguments and problems.
4. I've been forum roleplaying for just about 5 years now, and I've been tabletop roleplaying for 11 years now. I still suck at roleplaying despite being a 12 year veteran, but, what're you gonna do?
5. I really enjoy talking to people. Yes, society has gone downhill, but despite that I find serious enjoyment out of talking to people about anything. So, if I'm in an RP with you, just chat away with me. We can talk about mundane things, or go all-out on serious topics. I don't think I've come across a single person I've hated talking to, even if they were somewhat irritating or annoying. So please PM me, or just talk OOC.
6. I flipping love Inside Out, and as such, if you ever make an RP based around it, please invite me. I promise to behave of course. If one isn't made though, you know very well that I'll make my own, and I'll try my hardest to make it the best RP possible. Or, if you just want to talk about Inside Out, I'd love to do that as well.
7. Please make good characters. I understand Advanced Roleplayer's over on that section have no problem with this, but I don't like RPing over there. When I'm on casual roleplay, not many seem to care a whole lot about making good characters. They just make walking cliche's to get into an RP, and then completely change that character as the RP barely starts. It's annoying, lazy, and doesn't really make me want to accept you if I'm GM or co-GM.
Characters are the literal heart and soul of roleplaying, and should be treated as such. If you make your characters card-board cut-outs, it only tells me that you either don't care, are lazy, or that we absolutely need a moderate roleplay section on the forums to bridge the gap between posting 1-2 paragraphs with barely any work put into characters, and posting 6-8 paragraphs with enormously deep backstories, love, and care, put into characters.
8. I am a caring and nice guy, so don't be afraid to talk to me about anything. I'm fairly hard to offend, and even harder to make mad. I seriously enjoy getting to know my fellow members, so talk whenever you feel like it.
Alright, so that's a possibility then.
The problem is that if we don't get anyone else interested in this, all of that planning pretty much goes to waste.
For the boss, I'm feeling a sort of imposing ethnicity. Mongolians tend to look very harsh, but the boss feels kind as well. Maybe Austrian, or a Scandinavian country. Japanese people are actually jerks, not so much to foreigners, but people of their own ethnicity. They'll spit on each other, curse at each other, even telling each other to kill themselves. Japan doesn't have a high suicide rate because "oh spooky ghost stories," it's mostly because of stress and that stress leads to the hating of others to relieve that stress.
The lab-coat guy feels like he could be an extremely stressed-out and hard-working Japanese citizen, that tends to push others around because of whatever. Maybe he has a low amount of patience, or just generally doesn't like other people. He fits a few underlying stereotypes of the Japanese Middle Class. For him, I'd say that Fumio ("literary/scholarly child.") Fukui ("fortunate") works. Though, I understand if you have a problem with the name being an alliteration. It'd probably be hard to remember which one is the first and last name, when they both start with the same letter, and sound similar.
That would mean that we'd need to advance the plot to a mission or something. Without Unraveller that might be a bit hard. So we should either wait for a response from Unraveller, or just try and get some more people right now. You don't have names or bios for any of the other people in the facility right? If so, we could just have them be one of those characters already inside the compound. If we don't move the plot past that too quickly.
Major problem is we can't exactly advertise the RP, as that's against the rules. Except for in signatures I'm sure, where it's okay.
I'm only on for a teeny bit today. I can get caught up, but can't necessarily post yet. Tommorrow is an early out day, so I'll have a bit of time then.
Kurano Tanaka
Kurano stood awkwardly in the elevator with his arms and shoulders folded in. He stared about the room, wondering when the tight space would lead into a room. Within mere seconds, it seemed that the elevator folded out, and provided more room for everyone inside. Kurano tugged at his clothes, making sure none of them were badly wrinkled. Kurano wasn't exactly sure if he would be comfortable with living underground, but he didn't have much say in that. He stood silently, watching as offices moved by. Whatever organization this was, it certainly had to have been around since the advent of fourth dimensional technology. Once the elevator reached the bottom, Kurano silently followed 'Mr. Boss' down the sleek corridors, feeling a cold hand grab his own.
It was that child again, Shiroka, latching onto him. She didn't look frightened to Kurano, it must have been a simple instinct to her. How is a child like this supposed to learn how to fight? Seeing as that creature could rip through officers like paper, she would be a mere shred of cloth to one of them. Without a complaint however, Kurano shifted his attention to the boss, as he explained the layout and properties of the area. Kurano's hearing quickly dulled, prompting him to pull out his earplugs. So this is what it feels like to have no power. It's so much more calm, and not as focused. Kurano pondered the feeling, wondering what the others might have been experiencing.
The rest of the tour felt very standard, though when the boss spoke of cameras, Kurano didn't exactly trust him. They were essentially prisoners now after all, and prisons generally have cameras in the cells. Kurano was feeling excited to explore however, and with luck he could have a few of his things inside of his new room. "Are there specific times for training, or are we at liberty of using the room whenever we want? Oh, and, how many others are here?" Kurano asked questionably, remembering the few he saw in the training room.
Minami Shiroka
Minami was awestruck at the complexity of the underground fortress. It felt so space-age to her, like she was in one of her father's science-fiction movies. Minami grabbed on to the person closest to her, not even looking at who it could be. She was far too interested in whatever the boss was saying to care. Once they had walked into the Zelta area, something washed over her. She couldn't smell anything. Minami almost panicked before the boss explained what was happening. She almost blurted out the words 'will they come back?' when told that her power was dampened. Though, she held it at the tip of her tongue.
Minami looked with curiosity at the people training when they walked by. It looked like martial arts to her, but it could have been almost anything else. She looked at her free hand, and imagined punching right through a wall. Minami smiled and giggled just a bit. Once they stopped at the end of the boss's tour, Minami asked her own simple and innocent question after the man she was holding on to. "Where are the friends at?" She said, remembering what the boss had told her earlier.
Alright, I'm in a rush, so don't get mad if this post seems shoddily made.
It's possible that Unraveller has either unofficially left, or he's just really busy like me. There's also the possibility that he thinks forum roleplaying sucks and just decided to leave us. There was a point where I thought that as well.
I'll post over on the other forums only if I have the time to do that later. I'll also post on Code Lyoko if there's time for that.
I'd honestly be somewhat more concerned about Unraveller. All's fine though, nothing's happened. Like I said, I have to do a crazy amount of studying to even come close to scoring a 36 on the ACTs. I'm hoping to at least get a 32 in each category, and from what I've been told, the best way to do this is with 50 hours of study allotted into all of the subjects. So I'm looking at 200 hours of studying before the middle of March.
If I disappear for a little bit, that will be the reason why. If I can crunch in an hour or two of free time, I'll make a post.
Nah, I'm not at liberty to discuss my little miracle, but I can post now due to it.
I feel like a medical bay area would be necessary. Or a break room, for Kurano to smoke or something. I'll probably have him become gradually more ornery and rude the longer he is without one or when something stressful's going on. That's the case with almost anyone who smokes from my knowledge.
Er, so I may have had an unexpected leave for these past three days, but nothing short of a miracle has happened. I won't really say anything about it, though it was a miracle to me at the least. I'll be posting later today, and hopefully you can forgive me for just seeming to disappear.
Also, that map helps a lot, thanks.
No worries, lol, I know he was joking but that still upset me xD
For the record's sake, I'm terrible with first impressions. I was kidding, I normally never see color-coded apps except for in the advanced section, so I had the impression you came from advanced. I don't know if that's wrong or not, but this is an apology. I did say your app is extremely well done, which tipped me off even more towards my advanced section suspicions. It was more of an inside joke that probably shouldn't have slipped out. My apologies.
