Fair enough, as am I.
So far, thinking the imp'll be named Nkiruka, a small creature who spends a fair amount of time in the ruins hiding and harassing would-be explorers and archaeologists. They (not sure on gender) spend some time in the city, of course, mostly playing with unattended children and pranking people. The problem is Nkiruka's sense of pain is different from most others and their sense of empathy all but nonexistent. As a result, Nkiruka lives in the ruins to avoid angry parents and workers.
When Nkiruka has to fight, I suppose they'd go for quick blows and move away, trying to lead an opponent into a trap of their own making.

Most vaccines take years - and I mean, like, 7-10 is normal - to develop. The vaccines developed didn't poison people and so despite their limited efficacy, they were sent to market years early.

Considering the status bar usually is fairly comforting, it IS a little surprising it's being so unsympathetic. Can't comment on the actual situation, reminds me too much of a past shitty roommate.

It's been a long while since I had the chance to play some truly non-human beings so I may be rusty, but I'd like to give it a go. Scenarios 1, 2, and 4 seem most appealing to me.
