Emeris turned as he heard footsteps and the greeting from the blonde girl. "Hey Harm." He replied with a smile. He then turned to the the guy standing beside the tree. "Come on Jason, you have to show off every once in a while. Keeps the kids interested in learning. What are you going to do, sulk the information into them?" He said with a light laugh. He jumped off the fence, and started walking toward Jason. "As Harm said, she's heard I'm the best archer in the camp. Now I'd be willing to relinquish that title, if you wanted to have a...competition. A shoot-out, five arrows, three closest to the bulls-eye wins. All in good fun though, Harm and Chiron will be the judges."

He looked at the two others. "Would that be cool with you guys?"

Chiron looked at him, "I suppose I'm fine with it, but I really must get back to the big house as soon as this is over."
@LordLinguinie
Awesome

And I kind of envisioned him at the beginning of time kind of like the smoke monster from lost meets the Balrog.
Then after he is defeated he lurks in the shadows for thousands of years he learns to shape shift into many different forms, starting out as beast and slowly working his way to human. Once in human form he is a manipulator. If he wants something he can make himself appealing to his mark, but when he is angry he takes on the visage of a nightmare creature, like plague riddled corpse with bugs and creepy things climbing all over him, in and out of his mouth and eye sockets.....if that helps you at all
The mid-July sun shone brightly over Camp Half-Blood, making the day hot and humid. The air felt oppressive, but it didn't stop the kids attending from enjoying their daily activities. Some campers were out in the lake swimming, while others were on the training obstacle course. Emeris sat on the grassy knoll just below the horseshoe of cabins. He looked out and felt the heat of the day bathe over him. He laughed as he saw the Aphrodite kids trying to coax the Ares kids into a game of chicken in the lake. He looked down to the archery range, some of his half brothers and sister were standing around with Chiron trying to help some other kids with their archery. He stood up and stretched and decided to walk down to the range to see if he could be of any assistance.

"Hey Chiron, everything going good down here?"

"Ah, Emeris, our resident archer," He said with half a chuckle, "yes, everything seems to be going quite all right. You're whole family is, as always, eager to help when it comes to archery. Would you want to give a demonstration to these young students?"

"Anytime." He turned to look at the group of 12 year olds. He reached down, and picked up the recurve bow off the ground. He then took a few arrows and placed them tip down into the ground in a grouping of five. He then looked to a brown haired girl to his side. "Amy, can you grab me a bracer please?" he asked with a smile. The lithe girl ran to the equipment rack and grabbed the leather arm guard and brought it back to Emeris. "Thank you." He fastened it to his arm. He raised the bow and gave a tug or two on the string and then started speaking. "This is a standard recurve bow with a draw weight of about 35 pounds. Should be enough for all of you. Now then, you take your arrow and nock it-place it on the string. Your other hand is gripping about center of the bow, and the arrow resting on top of your finger. You face your target, draw until the fletching -the feathers- are almost touching your cheek. Stare down the shaft of the arrow and line up your target, breathe out, and release." The arrow left the bow and flew seamlessly straight down to hit its target. "And that's really all there is to it. Now for the fun part." He took the next three arrows in the ground and in a rapid motion, shot them effortlessly at the same target. "Grand finale" he said with a smirk as he picked up the final arrow, and shot it with his eyes closed. The arrow split the first right down the center. The group of kids laughed and clapped. He smiled at Chiron before saying "All right, you all try now. I'll be sitting here if you need help or have any questions, but the number one rule is....Don't try the closed eyes trick just yet, we dont want another accidental death." He laughed as he sat on the fence surrounding the range watching the kids all running to get equipment to try archery.
@DC The Dragon

I thought your intro post was the right length to give us an intro to your character

Name: Zachary Emeris Cade | 18 years old
Son of Apollo

Personality: All-American guy next door. Confident but not cocky, kind, athletic, unabashedly nerdy.

Bio: Raised in the foothills of Tennessee, his life consisted of family and sports. His mother was the black sheep of a small town, knocked up by a drifter in the gossipers eyes, but her family knew the truth. They knew she truly loved Apollo but that the two couldn't be together. They protected her and her new born son. After a few years she met her new husband, the man that would be Emeris' stepfather. The man raised him as his own, and the small family was happy. By age of 12, they had been contacted about the camp. They decided to send him there for his safety. He quickly made friends with kids he met. He had a natural affinity for archery. He was the leader of his cabin in that event, but he dedicated himself to helping everyone succeed in it.

Hey I think this sounds pretty cool, and I would be down to see where it goes. If you have anymore info of like what you are kind of looking for in the story I'd be interested in hearing.

The courtroom was quiet. All eyes were on the lawyer speaking. Matt sat there listening intently to the opposing lawyer's closing arguments. He could hear how calm the guys heart rate was. Matt hated listening to guys like this. He was so arrogant in his delivery. Foggy shifted uncomfortably in the chair beside him.

"I don't like this, Matt" Foggy whispered to him "It feels to perfect."

"Don't worry, we've got this." Matt whispered back.

"I wish I had your confidence, man"

"Well when you're this good looking, you have confidence to spare." Matt replied with a slight smirk.

"You're blind how do you know you're so good looking?"

"Never been turned down before." He listened to the the final moments of the opposing counsels argument. The jury sat there listening intently, they seemed unfazed by the smooth talker, but he wouldn't be able to be sure until he got up to speak. "Looks like I'm up." he whispered to Foggy as the other lawyer took his seat. He reached forward to grab his cane and patted Foggy on the shoulder. He tapped his way to the center of the floor. He tapped the ground real quick and used his sonar ability to face the jury, slowly. He smiled to them.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the jury, a this has been a rough trial. A child is dead. It is rough for us to see the details surrounding this case. It's difficult for the parents of this child to have to sit here and relive this traumatic event over and over. This case is hard on the people of the city. We all have questions that we want answered, and here you have this company, A.I.M wanting us to shift the blame to this officer of the law. Now that could be the easy way out, but how long before they are blaming the parents of this child for the actions that lead to this terrible accident." He paused to take a breath. The jurors were stock still and he couldn't get a real reading on any of them. "As I said, we have questions. This company is making weapons strong enough to capture gods, and giant green men. Why then is it so carelessly placed in a police officer's standard equipment? Wouldn't weapons as powerful as this be better suited to be handled by a specialized task force?" There was a murmur from the crowd in the courtroom, and the judge called for quiet in the courtroom. "Where is the safety protocol? Why can a child operate this dangerous piece of equipment? Ladies and Gentlemen, we can end this the easy way. We can ruin a this officer's life. This man who risked his life during the battle of New York to get civilians to safety. Or...we could use this as a moment to really dig deep and look at the true fault, and that is the company itself. We need to hold them accountable so that incidents like this don't happen again. We cant give these grieving parents their child back, but we can sure as hell make sure this company will work to make sure no other parent has to lose a child. Thank you."

Matt turned on his heels, and returned to his seat. As he sat down he whispered to Foggy, "And now we wait."

Its all good friend, just patiently waiting
