I didn't realize this was open!

Name - Philip Carter
Alias - Fate
Age - 21
Sponsor - Zatanna
Personality - reserved, guarded, shy

Powers - Various magical and mystical abilities, mainly shields, flight, teleportation, telekinesis, etc. He has learned more magic and has several artifacts which enhances his powers. The Amulet of Anubis enhances Phil’s natural magical power, and allows him to communicate with the previous Doctor Fate, Kent Nelson. The Gauntlets of the Four Sons provides powerful protection to Phil making him able to withstand gunfire, and enhances and shields that he makes.

Weaknesses - The Helm of Nabu is constantly trying to possess Phil. Nabu can telepathically speak to Phil if he is nearby. Although he has learned more personal magic, much of Phil’s powers rely on the enhancement of artifacts. He also has limited use in his left arm and hand due to an injury from last year.

Appearance - Phil is slim, a little bit taller than average, with dark hair and green eyes. He wears golden gauntlets, an Egyptian collar, and dark blue shirt.

BRIEF Bio - After the previous Dr. Fate's death, the Helm of Nabu chose a new user, a mere boy. When the helm chose him, Philip had just started college, studying archaeology. A very reserved person, Phil only acting when he knows the best course of action. When he can't think of an optimal action, he often freezes in indecision.

What's Changed - Although Phil started out his superhero career as an heir to the mantle of Doctor Fate, Phil no longer uses the Helm of Nabu, the source of Doctor Fate’s powers. The Helm of Nabu and its namesake spirit are still corrupted by some outside force. Leaving the team, Phil focused on his emanate battle with Nabu's corrupter. He has spent the interim collecting more magical artifacts in hopes to eventually confront and exercise Nabu’s corrupter. He has spent some time training with Justice League Dark in Europe.

Notes - Zatanna, as the only magic-user, is the natural choice for a sponsor. This does not mean it was a good choice. Thinking that there are others who deserve the helm's power more, Zatanna is perplexed and perhaps a bit jealous that the Helm of Nabu would choose Phil, not knowing the internal struggle he shoulders.
I'm not saying they should be mad, but from my little experience, people don't seem to like their characters to get rejected, especially after all the time they spend on them.
Speaking of, I feel like I need to spend time on my character. These new CSs are longgggg and detailed.
Also, has anyone seen drew?
I still interested in this. Is it still going?
So we're only adding two or three more characters? And there's seven applicants, so far... People are gonna be madddd

Trying to find my old app right now..Honestly though, Owlet looks good... I feel real inadequate, but I don't wanna just drop Jin in the dirt.

Don't drop Jin! She is required to be there. I really like your character, you're a good writer.

I think the year later would be an interesting idea. Flashbacks can really beef up a post and add to character development. Maybe the team can split up, and then they all get back together for a big Avengers moment (possibly that plot development we discussed KL)? That way everyone can do their own thing. I might continue with Phil, but I'd probably tweak his powers some. I just find it hard RPing a magic user.
Out of the corner of his eye, Phil saw Fenrir sulk over to the flying car and get in. He still hadn’t talked to the former wolfman since the last battle. I should say something to him later, Phil thought. I hope he doesn’t blame himself for… He flexed his healing arm and focused on his newest teammate. This mystery man in blue introduced himself as Captain Marvel's protege, Thunder.

Phil heard Kent’s thoughts emanating from the Amulet of Anubis once more: ”Thunder here is rippling with magic energy. Between him and Captain Marvel, we have more than enough raw magic to make up for finesse. But we need to make a move soon, before the Agent does.”

"Hey, Thunder. I'm Phil, er, I mean Fate,” Phil said, looking around, checking to see if someone overheard his slip up. “Captain Marvel didn’t say anything about you… But it’s good to have another magic user on the team. Maybe we could teach each other a thing or two."
I'm still here too! I don't know why we couldn't do a small cast.
Sorry for the delay, I was out of town. Here's my CS with some minor changes, mainly just listing a few more things in equipment that I mentioned in skills.

Name: Michael Rothe
Alias: Wraith
Age: 28
Powers: Hyper-spectral vision: After an accident, Michael can't see in the visible spectrum, but instead sees ultraviolet, infrared, and even chemical traces and smells.
Skills: Skilled in unarmed combat and and in use of nightstick/tonfa, although he is by no means on par with a martial artist. He makes up for this with dirty tricks, such as smoke bombs and pepper spray. Also skilled in shooting, although Batman has discouraged his use of guns.
Personality: Ornery, jaded, sardonic
Equipment: Tonfa, smoke bombs, wrist-mounted pepper spray, and body armor Batman gave to him. He also has a gun, but rarely carries it.

Brief Bio: Michael Rothe was a cop in the Gotham PD. He was tough as nails, if a bit rough with suspects. He didn't take crap from anyone, including the mob, and the mob didn't like that. He refused to be bought. While guarding the crime scene at a meth lab, Michael's fellow officers turned on him, under direction from the mob. Knowing that they wouldn't be disturbed within the shut-down lab, and hoping to intimidate Michael, they threatened blind Michael with the lab chemicals. In the ensuing struggle, the chemicals got into Michael's eye. He had an adverse reaction, and began seizing and foaming at the mouth. Thinking he was dead, the gang set the meth lab on fire, and began plotting the cover-up.

When the seizure stopped, Michael thought that he was on acid, due to the psychedelic colors swimming before his vision. However, he soon realized that these colors were real, albeit not visible to the human eye. Unbeknownst to the corrupt GPD officers, the meth lab was actually a cover for experimental human enhancements. After he escaped the fire, Michael waged an increasingly violent vendetta against the mob and the corrupted GPD as the Wraith. Batman and a few of his sidekicks stepped in before he killed anyone, channeling Wraith's vigilantism into less violent and more productive means.

Notes: Due to the cover-up, Michael Rothe is legally dead.
Varn grit his teeth. His performance in combat would not have made his father proud. He wouldn't admit it, but he was feeling overwhelmed. These Orange Lanterns were unlike anything he'd fought before. Sure, he'd done some ring slinging, but never against so many enemies, and enemies of such power.

Despite the planetary annimocity Varn felt towards his fellow sector lantern, he found himself wishing Isamot Kol was here, just to see a familiar face. Sure, they were almost polar opposites when it came to politics in their sector, but they always had each other's backs anyway.

Praevek was different. His teammate seemed ready to sacrifice himself for nothing. Varn still wasn't sure was Praevek was thinking.

As Varn rode his trihorned mega lizard construct, following Crux in formation through the sky and jungle of Euphoi, he decided to talk to the teammate in question. "Hey Praevek, right? What's with the martyr act? Are you so ready to die that you would literally enter the mouth of the beast? We need all the Lanterns we can get, but we also need all the Lantern we can get back to their homes."
