Hakuno

Hakuno was quite surprised at Saber's refusal to disappear. With how well things had gone for her so far, the novice mage had figured that her Servant wouldn't want to be seen with her. But the armour-clad woman, despite her criticisms and comments, was still content to walk around in public with her! Trying to suppress another embarrassed grin, Hakuno turned her head to the side.

"I-I see... well, like I said, my clothes probably won't fit. But, you can take a look if you want..."

Hakuno lead her Servant to her bedroom. There wasn't much to it, just a small sleeping space that also happened to house most of her electronic gadgets. The portable ones, at least.
"They're in the drawers here," Hakuno stated, pointing at said drawers, "Just, uh... see what I have?"

Lancer

Lancer had not expected such a reply, and simply glared at his Master with a small frown, assessing him. Did this fool even know who he had summoned? Or was he just that highly confident in his abilities? Certainly, a runt like that didn't look like much. At the very best, he'd serve as nothing more than a strategist that hid from the front lines. Perhaps his master had a little backbone?

With a small grunt, Lancer followed after Jonathan, his halberd dissipating from view. Arriving in the kitchen, he simply watched his master make something to eat for a short while, before finally clearing his throat, "Tell me, Master, what do you plan to do now?"
The large servant was already itching for a good fight, and was prepared to crush the other Servants immediately. After all, there was no one stronger than himself in the entire world, so why drag things out, when the worthless weaklings could be dealt with, and the grail won?
Beatrix let out a small sigh of relief, glad that her hypothesis was indeed correct. Not that there could be any doubt about that, but still.
"Hmph. As I expected!" Beatrix scoffed, and allowed herself a hearty laugh. Satisfied that spectres would not be assaulting her any time soon, Beatrix nodded in agreement with Uiharu, "yeah, sure. Uh, where were we all going, again?" the blonde tilted her head in wonder, seemingly already forgotten her original purpose in venturing outside at all today.
Hakuno came to a stop behind Saber, not given much time to wonder why she had paused at the door before she was being addressed. Reflexively, Hakuno stood as straight as she could, arms pinned to her sides in an attempt to stand at attention and seem more responsible to her Servant. The request had been unexpected, however, even if it did make sense.

"...Um, right. Uh..." Hakuno hadn't taken this into consideration at all. Of course, she'd brought plenty of clothes over with her, but given the... entirely different physique of the two girls, it was unlikely she had anything that Saber could wear, "yeah, um... I dunno if I have anything your size... besides, can't you go invisible or something?"

Hakuno had figured it would be a wise idea not to jokingly suggest that Saber masquerade as a cosplayer. Given her usual responses, Hakuno would probably confine herself to a corner and mope at the inevitable, disapproving comment.
Hakuno Kishinami

Saber's comment had left the smiling and hopeful Master frozen as she processed the rather blunt comment. Had this been an animated scene, it might have been an appropriate time to have all of her colour drain away to oblivion.
Ch-childish...? was she really childish? It was just a suggestion! It wasn't like she was in any danger anyway, right? Saber was invincible!
With her disapproving Servant leaving, Hakuno slowly followed, worrying that, by the end of the day, her own Servant was going to defeat her with simple commentary, long before any other Servant could target them.

Lancer

As was typical of a Servant summoning, the magic circle was practically exploding with light and power, as a figure slowly emerged from the centre. The tall, imposing hero seemed to rise towards the skies, and when he was fully formed, the Servant known as Lancer turned his cold gaze towards the mage before him.

The large man, adorned with armour of gold and blue, and wielding a halberd sharp enough to rend the heavens themselves, was silent for a moment. His scowl indicated that he was already disapproving of his summoner, finding no sign of strength in the youth. Was he really to be chained to a master like this?

"...I am Lancer," he finally spoke with a grunt, "tell me, runt, do you believe you're worthy enough to be my Master?"
Hakuno has clearly mastered this Master thing.
"...I'm, uh, glad to hear it," Hakuno replied, somewhat thrown off my Saber's comment. Had she just been casually reprimanded? Well... either way, it seemed there was no problem with the summoning, which meant Hakuno was sure that Saber would win with no real trouble at all. That was going to be a massive relief. Now she just had to clean up this circle...

Her Servant then suggested surveying the area, which... certainly made sense. Hakuno herself, having only recently arrived in the area with barely any knowledge of English, had only gone as far as to locate the shops. Maybe she should get more acquainted with the area.
"Good idea!" Hakuno nodded her approval and stepped into her bedroom, returning momentarily with a light jacket in hand, "tactical advantage, right? And I can show you this nice-looking ice-cream store, too! Maybe this time I can actually figure out how to order..."
"...Um, right," Hakuno nodded sheepishly at Saber's comment. Already, she had left a poor first impression... but still, Saber was a Saber! That was a guaranteed win right there, right?! She even said it herself! The brunette was powerless to stop the silly grin from spreading on her face.

"I'm glad to hear it! Um, I'm not really the best magus ever, so I hope that won't be a problem! Uh, but I studied a lot! A bit! Er, I think I know what to do and stuff, so don't worry too much about me! Er..."
Hakuno paused her frantic attempts to endear herself to the warrior, and tried to calm her thoughts. The urge to backflip with joy all over the room was a difficult temptation to resist, but she should maybe save that for later - after having her wish granted could be a good start. But for now...

Clearing her throat, Hakuno started over as she returned the stare, hoping she didn't seem like a quivering, cowardly wreck, because she sure felt it, "I-I am Kishinami Hakuno, your Master. I... look forward to our eventual victory together, Saber!"

Nailed it! Hakuno praised herself with delight.
Hakuno watched with wide eyes as her Servant appeared from the circle. Given the lottery approach she had taken, the young magus had no idea what to expect to appear before her. At the very least, in her mind was the image of some larger-than-life figure that exuded sheer power... instead, there was a young woman that wasn't exactly tall or imposing. Well, okay, she was carrying a sword and wearing plenty of armour, but still!

However, this strange woman had identified herself as Saber, and Hakuno simply stared blankly for several moments, unable to comprehend the news. Of all the classes Hakuno could have gotten, with several sounding far too weak for her liking, she ended up with the one class that all the magi tended to rave about for being extremely powerful? That was way too good to be true!

A distracting tingling from her left hand stole away Hakuno's attention for a moment, finding a weird, red symbol engraved on her skin. She touched it lightly with her other hand, momentarily confused about why it was there. This was... oh, right, the Command Seal. That... that proved the Saber standing before her most definitely didn't get lost on her way to a much better Master's house, right?

She looked once more at the armoured Servant, and inhaled. She'd gone too long without answering, after all, "I... yeah, I think so. Er... sorry, you said you were Saber?"
If Hakuno had to choose any one reason to never be a magus, she had probably found a good one: Goddamn was it disturbing stuff.

The young successor of the Kishinami family was not exactly passionate about her heritage. Not that she had anything against magecraft, it was just a surprisingly uninteresting trait for her. It was a shame she didn't have an older sibling that could be bothered by all this stuff, instead. But no, it was up to Hakuno to smear her blood, along with the blood of animals for this stupid ritual. It was probably a good thing she started preparations several days early; Hakuno wouldn't describe herself as squeamish, but she spent a looooong time in the bathroom, washing her hands frantically.

Well, either way, it had finally been prepared, all she had to do now was incant the summoning ritual, bring out a Servant, and hope to god she didn't die in the next few days.
The young magus had been wracked with many emotions since she had travelled to this place. Fear had been rather prominent, mixed with dread. A tiny bit of hope... at the current moment, Hakuno was banking on summoning a powerful Servant. She'd been unable to obtain a catalyst for anyone, which meant her chances of getting a weak warrior was extremely high.

So many times, Hakuno had considered just ditching the whole war thing and going back home. Sure, that meant slowly dying of a disease that was going to eat her memories, but participating in this war probably meant a painful, gory death anyway.
But for whatever reason, Hakuno pressed on, putting her misgivings aside. She had carefully studied the steps required to summon, rehearsed the spell so many times, and now... she stood by the magic circle, completing the ritual.

"You, seven heavens clad in three words of power, arrive from the ring of deterrence, O keeper of the balance ―――!"

Concluding the chant, Hakuno watched the emergence of her partner with trepidation, legs shaking as she prepared to answer whoever heeded her call in the most authoritative voice she could muster.
"...Lead... lead the way?" Beatrix repeated, the hesitant tone in her voice obviously nothing more than a commoner's imagination. Her dual-coloured eyes flicked towards the alley (did that thing just get darker and longer since she last looked at it?) and back towards the girls as she tried to think of a good excuse to avoid traversing that place.

Unfortunately, Beatrix' genius intellect was not able to find a solution in time, as Saten was already beckoning her inside, and before she knew it, was already taking small steps towards the alley.
There's nothing in there, there's nothing in there... Beatrix told herself, staring at the ghost-laden space with a small grimace. There was no way she'd be attacked by ghosts, right? What was it supposed to do... right, right, just attack the commoners! So Beatrix was perfectly safe! Uiharu and Saten were the ones that had to worry, but if a powerful genius like Beatrix was there, then no ghost would dare show itself! It was going to be all right!

And so, with her chin raised high, Beatrix put on her smuggest grin and took a step inside.
