For all of her father's best efforts, Kris never did quite grow to become the "precious princess" that he had hoped she would be. Their days of playing princess and knight did not play out as one would ordinarily expect, but instead involved a tiny, four year old girl struggling to lift a 6'2" man into her arms so that she could "save" him. Swinging around stick "swords", gallivanting about and having "adventures"--it had become apparent at a young age that the girl didn't have a desire to be protected, but that she wanted to be the protect_or_. And so her day to embark on that particular journey had finally come. Although her father seemed none too happy about his little girl going off to join the Altean Knights, there was nothing he could do to quell her excitement. Their goodbye had been long and heartfelt, and Kris had felt a sudden pang of uncertainty as they hugged. She had never strayed from her desire to become a knight ever since she was a child, but in that one moment, a moment of doubt passed through her mind. Was this really the right thing for her to do? _Yes,_ She thought later, feeling her breath catch in her throat as she stared up at the castle that awaited before her, _This was most definitely the right choice for me. I...I can't believe I'm actually here!_ Head tilted back, her bright gaze remained fixed on the castle as she walked forward, her dark hair swinging back and forth in a ponytail. _Oh, I can't wait! Just imagine...me, a knight! Kind, noble, stron--_ Her reverie was abruptly cut off when, in her distracted state, she failed to notice that someone had been standing right in front of her. In fact, it wasn't until she collided right into his back was she even made aware of his existence, letting out a sharp gasp as she jerked backwards. Stumbling back, she swung her arms around like a windmill in an effort to regain her balance, just barely managing to save herself from an embarrassing fall. _Phew_. Rubbing her chin with her hand, she tentatively lifted her gray eyes and glanced up at the figure, hoping to the gods that she hadn't just walked facefirst into someone important. "Er, my apologies..."
"Of course, Sir Isacc." Gesturing for him to follow her, the pegasus knight began to make her way through the palace. Keeping certain to match the pace of her companion, Thalia furrowed her brows and let out a quiet "hmm" at his question. "Well, a large part of that can be account for the fact that--" Whatever she was going to say clearly had to wait, as she was abruptly cut off by one Champion of Naga zipping past her with such speed that she had to turn around to check if he was being chased by something. It wasn't until a few moments later that his words actually sunk in. Oh. _Oh no._ "We...we'd best do as he says and run!" Thalia squeaked at Isacc before turning and sprinting after the boy. Gods, how could she forget that she was supposed to guard the princess during the dinner? Nearing the dining hall, the girl slowed down so that she could catch her breath, chest heaving as she tried to calm her racing heart. When she was convinced she didn't look like a breathless maniac, she straightened up, smoothed down her clothing, and stepped inside. "My lady, my deepest apologies for being tardy," She said softly as she moved to the princess' side, her face still flushed from her impromptu marathon.
The fact that the man's hand had automatically flown to the hilt of his sword had not gone unnoticed, but Rylan didn't seem particularly bothered. To be fair, he _had_ kind of unintentionally crept up on the guy, and it was good to know that at least one of the people he'd be traveling with had good instincts. The only other person he had really had any sort of conversation with in this group had been, uh... He glanced down at his hand with a grimace, gave it a little shake, and then looked back up. "These over here?" He asked, moving over to where the knight had indicated and peering down at the supplies. _Gods_, there was a lot of stuff in this place! Had he seriously been dealing with doing all this alone? Damn, had everyone else just gone gallivanting off into the sunset or something? "Okay, no problem, I can deal with this stuff. And by the way," Grabbing some paper and a writing utensil, Rylan looked at Marius with lifted brows. "Just Rylan, please. 'Sir Rylan' sounds a little too stuffy for a guy like me."
> Does anyone wanna do anything with Lorne, or should I just have him seethe for a while until the dinner? He can bowl into Thalia (B| /punts you before you can turn that into something inappropriate) and Isacc before they leave, otherwise I think my characters are occupied! ( u__u)/ At least, Rylan isn't going to leave Marius alone in the barracks after already offering to help daghfadgdf
"Yes, that's right. I'm a pegasus knight." She smiled at politely at him, giving another small bow of her head, "And it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance as well, Sir Isacc." She had gathered from Jerod calling him a "blueblood" that this young man was of noble birth, though even if the mercenary hadn't used the term, she felt that she would have realized it anyways. The way that Isacc carried himself certainly was reminiscent of someone who had been brought up in a manner that was particular about etiquette. Feeling a little tenser in the presence of a noble, Thalia composed herself and acted in a way that was reminiscent to when she was with the princess. Gone was the somewhat flustered young woman--for now, anyways. "If you are traveling with the group as well, then we'd best get to the barracks. We were all supposed to gather to help with inventory, but..." Trailing off, she smiled wryly and gestured towards their surroundings, indicating the fact that everyone had run off to who knows where. "With luck, everyone will get there eventually, but we'd best be on our way."
> The pegususes (pegasi?) will only let girls in short skirts ride them. > > Also, will plot progression happen soon? I need to know if it's safe to have Cinna sleep. Will they accept the alternative of a guy in a short skirt? > Neither are dark mages running around in bikinis or warriors fighting shirtless. > > Fire Emblem takes some justices, me thinks. ...You have a point.
