False. My response to you was a rebuttal, and therefore you were the one who misunderstood.

My original point was that nobody gets in the way of me killing my targets; why would I refute your reply with a claim that, if true, would mean that someone actually did get in the way?

"Except I killed them later" is a valid rebuttal of your claim that those people had prevented my killings. I simply carried out the killings later.

It's not hard, pay attention in future.

It's strongly implied that they failed to stop me, as I killed my targets later. Since 'later' is obviously the stressed word, perhaps you should learn to understand your own language.
