It was nice knowing you, 2023. I only hope the year that comes after you is just as nice to know.
Unless @rush99999 wants to post a wide variety of reactions from Brutrumukk going to unconsciousness
Brutrumukk could get a reaction off before going down? I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me. Would he be able to use that reaction to give advantage to Jub's roll to avoid Brut as he falls?
"We probably should." Skobeloff said with a small nod. "Wouldn't want to keep everyone at the Treehold waiting for too long." Despite saying this, Skobeloff only moved a little bit faster when he started moving again. Skobeloff needed to extract that secret before they reached their destination. If they arrived before then, Garrock wouldn't be willing to share with others about. At the same time, Skobeloff needed to keep the conversation casual. Any attempt at rushing Garrock along would most likely put his guard up. And so Skobeloff schemed, thinking of what directions he could steer this casual conversation in to put Garrock in the mindset to open up.
Skobeloff studies Garrock. He rolls a 7 and learns the following: - How could I get you to a topic of casual conversation that will get me a secret or vital piece of information?
Skobeloff grinned as Garrock became flustered and denied the raw-scaled trickster's claim that the bearded warrior was a good dragon. "You say that, but your willingness to come to a dangerous, Shadow infested island dropping dangerously close to the Cloudstalker for the sake of your Housemates suggests otherwise." Skobeloff jabbed playfully. "You can't hide the truth from me, you big scaley tsundere."
When Garrock was finished speaking, Skobeloff frowned and shook his head at Garrock's theory that Skobeloff was just trying to get him out of the way. "Come now, don't be like that." The Trickster said consolingly. "You aren't slowing anyone down. And while you may be old, I find it hard to believe that anyone who shows concern like you did after Shieldwing crash landed on the beach could be truly mean." Skobeloff smiled at Garrock then. "You're a good dragon really, Garrock. It's just your concern for your missing Housemates and a lack of sleep has shortened your temper somewhat. I don't hold that against you. And I'm sure the others won't as well."
