Hello, there really isn't much to see here. :^D

In case you were wondering, yes, I drew my profile image. Do you like it? I think it has a depressing sort of beauty.

Disclaimer: I can sometimes be a little too honest, and my standards might be too high. People don't like that. But let it stand on record that I also view myself with the same light. I would not criticize others if I am not willing to take criticism myself. Be mature. Don't hold stupid grudges. If you've come here to scope me out, to find some shameful detail or quench some personal spite because my honesty upset you in some way, -- I'm sorry but there is nothing here for your desperate attempt at self-validation. I will settle the pettiness with an apology. Sorry. Happy?

I can't do anything more than that.

[Automated Message]...

Our society lives in the grave of another. One that was much larger, much more capable, and infinitely more knowledgeable. Their great metal ruins stretch as far as the blackened horizon allows, and after a passing millenia, we are still astounded by what we find and rediscover deep in the tombs below. We might even consider them as 'Gods', and it is suggested they proclaimed themselves such a profaned title. But being as they were 'Gods', their mistakes were also one beyond magnitude. Even longer ago, it is said the world shattered from their failure and neglect. Not as a whole. But into pieces. Hell spilled forth from the gaping wound and it consumed all live across the globe. Our ancestors had little chance against the horrors that manifested in the eldritch storms, and every civilization was buried underneath the ashen snowfall. But yet, somehow we survived.

Today, we owe that fact to the 'Apothos System', and the tireless servants to the Grand Architect. The system itself keeps us cleansed from 'Sin', while the Architect and their kin work to protect us. Powered by the Infinity Spire and reconstructed by the Alchemists from the shells of old structures of civilization past, the sprawling city, 'Reclaimed Terra', is the last haven in this desolate land of metal and ashe.

[System Notice] Automated message is now over. Feel free to browse the rest of the contents, dear visitor. And remember, the Apothos System is your friend. Your savior.

Extra Lore - Purely for Fun (Trigger Warning: Lots of Exposition).

[PRIORITY NOTICE] Martial Law is currently in place. This Terminal will shut down in... <Later Time>

Recently, after an off-prediction meteor shower, there have been dozens of rumors regarding strange sightings beyond the city walls. Please ignore all claims of these 'Invisible Children'. You are safe. However, since then, there have been individuals suddenly becoming capable of bizarre abilities. We are unsure if these are related. Regardless, due to the involvement of such invidual(s) in the breach and collapse of District 26, any unaccounted 'Witch' (Warlock for males) and all accomplice parties are henceforth placed under martial arrest. To prevent other accidents, any account of a person with abnormal quirks and mysticism or faulty I.T. should be notified to a local Magistrate immediately.

Do not be afraid. Go about your day regularly. A new branch of authority has been created in response to this newly recognized threat. These 'Witch Hunters' are the result of a protection project known as 'Melas'. They might appear threatening, but entrust to them as you do the Apothos System. As your saviors.

OP Afterword:

Local Myths of the Outer Rings -

On the first day of every week, it is said an eerie static can be heard over a unique frequency level. A voice can barely be made during the interval. Any attempts to record the voice ends with garbled data.

During certain storms, it is said mysterious figures can be seen standing outside the wall. For some reason, the Apothos System cannot detect them, nor do any officers attempt to attack or investigate them. They have since taken the name 'Invisible Children'.

During the biannual Solstices, when the ever-present sky storms are at their weakest point, a faint structure can be seen glimmering in the Ocean of Ashe. It is a wonder what it may be. Some speculate that, due to its unique shape, that it might be a castle of some sort. But since no one can show any conclusive proof, most ignore it as nothing more than a large chunk of floating debris in the atmosphere. Like the countless others.

A massive tower can be faintly seen at the tip of the horizon during a regulator discharge or electrical storm. It appears to extend to the very cloudy ocean above. Rumors say that a guardian protects it from any intruders, deterring the unworthy from the paradise leading above.

Hm. No wonder I got confused. You kept saying 'bad guys' this entire time when refering to them, when they actually weren't supposed to be yet. Haha, okay. Got'cha.

Will be working on a more appropriate character soon. Might take some time though, again. It really isn't easy doing all these concepts. Somehow I'll make it though.
Yeah, thats why I was kinda iffy about finishing it. I wanted to try to do something a little abnormal to the setting, something that is 'old' enough to harken back to when magic was a thing. Serve a bit of narrative contrast, you know? And I might've misunderstood the 'hunting' bit. Thought they just wanted cold killers, but now realize they need more stealthy peeps. Anyway, its my own fault. I just do wild things when I get the pen doodling . No hard feelings.

Okay, well I can give it a go again if you'll allow me. Need to think of another design now though...
How many characters does that make it? And here I thought it was gonna be a nicely packed, small roleplay. Jeez, things will be pretty crazy the first few days, weeks even.
Good luck, GM.

@Ghost Queen And I agree, winning or losing is not important to a narrative. It's about how the characters develop and come to a greater understanding of something, the 'combat' simply being the method. A fun one at that, I'll admit.
Reason for Edit: Character was Rejected.

I think my statement is taken out of context. Directly after, I said I was open to the fact; meaning I'm accepting of the criticism. It was more a self depravating joke than anything. I was speaking from the perspective of someone happening on my distasteful actions on this thread. As meta shaming myself. Sorry if it upset you.

Like I said, I dont care about cliches or unoriginal work. Such a thing doesnt exist. It is the amount of effort put in that I care about.
Let's be honest here. I'm a toxic flamer elitist. I am fairly open to the fact. Though only because I put my heart in the things I care a lot about. And that was actually me who suggested heavy regulation across all levels, and they suggested otherwise, but whatever. The debate, at least on my end, is that a normal society wouldn't allow mentally unstable people to walk freely in public space, especially public icons, because the Mygis is such a heavily regulated public? (I'm still not sure.) sport. It was not over whether there were rules or not. That much is self-implied. As being dangerous is very different than being threatening. I used sports professionals as an example, since they are similar, people held in high regard and are idols of children and the like. Perhaps it was done poorly on my part. It was all speculation on both our parts anyway. Babyraging aside. XD

I look forward to seeing all the approved characters in action.

@snake153 My character doesn't even know how she got her supernatural powers, and she was approved, so at birth seems like it wouldn't be out of the question. I'm fairly sure Tablet Powers, everyone is born with them, just like how they are connected to the Enlil Network from birth. Unless there is a process or something that I'm unaware of... Realizing them might take some people more time than others however, seeing the varied origin stories from what I've seen of the approved sheets.

So really, the options are quite vast.
You guys really went ham with mature discussion overnight. I'm so proud. I'm a little concerned about the lore implications about some characters, but that is ultimately up to the GM to moderate and consider. Might even lead to some level of collaboration. Overall, everyone did a very good job. :^D

And personally, I don't mind body gore. So long as it is done tastefully. There is a difference between a nice little shock factor and disturbing amounts of excessiveness.
Sorry for the delay, I will get the sheet up by tomorrow. I finally found a concept I like.
Yeah, sorry about that. I can be a major stickler about certain things. Anyway, here is my contribution to the 'lack of overly fluffy dogo pictures' charity drive. I hope its fluffiness will help your ailing soul and guide you to a better place. Not my dog either.
