Blaike tightly gripped his blade as his eyes shifted towards the imposing carnivorous vegetable that was slithering towards the group as it devoured everything in its path. For all its flailing with its tendrils, they seemed to strike true at the frontliners, slapping Baldur to the side like a rag doll. The Red Mage merely sighed at how easily the proctor had been knocked over as he dug in his heels and opened his free hand which was swirling with embers, spinning and weaving like tiny sprites.
While he did note that Artemisia going for the teeth was a decent idea, that wouldn't stop the creature from swallowing them whole and making it a slow, painful death due to the specialized digestive juices the creature has. If it seeped into the skin, it would cause a slow bit of muscle atrophy in a certain area all while paralyzing the victim before slowly causing their internal functions to slowly break down if not cured by the proper priest or mage.
Basically, you were digested from the inside out; popular poison of torturers and poisoners if he could recall correctly. Made him shudder briefly as he analyzed the creature. For all the vine whipping, he didn't seem all too worried about the two ladies up front; Mitra would more than likely evade it with little difficulty and it seemed like Ianthe was taking the blows quite well.
Despite this all, some of them seemed to be fairing... poorer than others.
"Luna, you see those cylindrical-looking tendrils with holes in them," he coolly spoke as he thrust his hand out, sending out a ball of fire that quickly split into three smaller bolts as they flew towards those yellow openings.
"Shoot at those! They're where the eyes are located," with that said he began preparing another barrage of fire to assault the creature with, only for his ears to catch some chittering. Despite the cacophony of the creature slamming its tendrils and roaring, he still picked up on the little things. Blaike could swear that there was something getting ready to come from behind, with the bits of shifting coming from the bush not helping as he couldn't tell if that was a result of the ground shaking from the beast slamming or something else.
Either way he would feign ignorance for now as he arched his arm back, readying to burn the Malboro's eyes to a crisp.
Cyril merely emitted a sigh of relief as the children dispersed to pursue the Shinx and Poochyena, leaving his own partner around. Now that he thought about it, Aster was carrying what looked to be a regular rock when he dashed into the bush which gave the trainer some pause as to what the Budew was accomplishing. Furthermore he was dashing away from a rather chaotic scene which did catch the young mans attention, at least for a couple of seconds.
He could discern that the stir in the park might of been caused by Aster, based on how the cacophony of deafening squeals suddenly erupted out of nowhere, followed by him running from the scene of the crime. Cyril could feel his face crinkling up as he wrinkled his nose and pouted, turning away for a second as he squinted his eyes and stifled a giggle. "Someone's having fun, ehehe."
Soon the bush rustled again, though Cyril thought it was Aster messing around before he caught to rotund shapes of different colors moving out of the bush, the pink one hustling to bring the red one over. While it was a blink and you miss moment, he got a better look at the red Pokémon to realize that it was Basil's Darumaka, and the pink shape was...
Well, he only really caught its color; most of Cecil's body was obscuring the other Pokémon, so he didn't get a focused glimpse of them, however Aster was still in there and Cyril... well, lets just say he was curious about what his little partner was up to.
Well, was and still is, however a new event was on the forefront of his mind at the moment with a man who had so much bags under his eyes that they could be mistaken for luggage! Heavy luggage mind you. But still, the way the Shuppets swayed behind the man, well, Cyrils reaction to it all told everyone his thoughts on the ghosts, even as he recorded them with his Pokédex.
"Snnnrrrrk~."
Yup. Wore his emotions on his sleeves as much as his smile on his face and neither would ever go out of fashion, at least to him! Still, the way they hid made him think of another certain Pokémon. Speaking of which...
"So, where do you think you're goin' Aster~?" His eyes suddenly shifted back to the side to witness his partner frozen on the spot, seemingly sweating bullets for a bit as he slowly turned to face Cyril, "Fweeeee?" It was an awkward reply, strangely unnatural, as if he was hiding something as Cyril peered off in the direction he was heading off in. A tree, huh?
Waaaaait a minute, did he make a friend? "Fwee, fwee!" Yep, Aster definitely made a friend; could definitely tell based on how shy he was acting, especially around him! Cyril crouched down in front of Aster, giving the bud a gentle pat on his side. "Hey, come on, there's no need to be shy! You gotta introduce me to your new friend!"
Aster spun to look at the tree, causing Cyril to look up to barely catch a glimpse of something quickly disappearing behind the tree. Were they a bit shy as well?
Whatever the case was, Aster was somewhat nervous as he began to shiver a little, though that was quickly put to rest with a gentle nudge towards the tree, "Alright, I understand... but you should introduce em' to me later, sound good?"
Following that, Cyril turned to respond to Basil, "Yeah, sure, just uh give me a moment." With that said, he merely gave Aster a toothy smile to encourage the little Pokémon to go forward, "Just don't do anything too risky alright; anything happens, give me a biiiiiig fwee, alright?" Aster could only go between glancing at the location and up at his trainer, swapping between the two before bobbing his own head in delight, "Fwee!"
With that said, Aster darted off behind the trees to meet up with his newfound friend while Cyril lightly jogged over to meet up with Basil, who was going about introducing himself to the Gym Leader. Now then, this guy was the Normal Type Gym Leader for Issen? And this Johannes guy met some chick with an affinity for ghosts? Sounds like these guys have a buncha' fun stuff to talk about!
While he certainly was no mushroom, he was definitely a fun guy to say the least, so he had to get in on this whole situation! "And I'm Cyril and I also received my starter today; also, cute Shuppets by the way," well, he would be a bundle of fun in a sec when they got past the introductions! He wasn't just gonna stomp all over Basil's introductions, no, that would be just rude!
Location:: Ferris Woods, ??? Date:: 21st Sun of Ondine Interactions:: Artemisia, Avaddon, Balder, Edgar, Ianthe, Luna, and Mitra Never realized that the definition of scouting ahead equated to negligently running, but that could of fooled him. He could only roll his eyes at the Dragoons remarks, thought he did ponder on if the miasma was clouding her judgement just a teeny bit. Regardless, he didn't forget his suggestion when he pivoted around to witness the lass undergoing what appeared to be a mental breakdown in the forest, which was possibly not the best of times, though Blaikes mind did wander for a bit to the possibility of her being poisoned, well, possibly.
The Red Mages free hand began to glow a soft white light as he reached out towards the priestess, only for the knight to comfort the girl instead. Easing his shoulders, he turned to glance at the ground, analyzing the thick purple mist that was gathering at their feet. Clenching his hand in a fist and dispelling the soft glow, he instead opted to crouch down and dip a finger into the mist. "So that's happening then, huh?"
Standing back up, he raised an eyebrow at the monks new suggestion to have one of them head forward instead of two people, which was just plain idiotic. Going in with two was to ensure both people could watch each others backs while getting a feel for the situation, while flying solo would of gotten anyone else killed in this situation.
But regardless, Blaike was one of the few who shouted out as well when the monk decided to charge foolhardily into the forest in place of just, you know, gathering information about the surroundings? Depending on the thickness of the mist and the way the forest reacted would of given him a better idea of what was to come, you know, observations.
With a sigh, Blaike peered at Edgar as he gave a brief explanation to the uninformed before peering at foliage. Malum Terrae was what they dubbed this phenomenon, or at the very least, it was a blanket term; depending on the environment, the vegetation potentially wasn't just the only thing that could be affected.
Pushing that thought aside, the Red Mage regained his senses as he began assessing the miasma levels, but based on what he could discern, they weren't in the thick of it just yet, however they were close. Giving his sword a light twirl, he watched as the knight obeyed Mitra's command. Yup, same old Mitra alright; hadn't really changed much aside from the unexpected appearance.
"Actually it comes from primarily the harp. If I can recall correctly, the voice of the person itself has no power. When combined with an instrument, in this case the bow, it acts as a medium to empower the voice to give it those magical properties. When combined with the emotions behind the voice, it can empower or debilitate enemies," Blaike spoke up, interjecting to answer the question in the priestess stead as he began to slowly retreat to the back of the group. "Anyways, I'll cover our rear for now in case we're ambushed from behind; not exactly the most elegant spot, but it at least keeps these two ladies out of the melee."
Sapporo, Japan Ishin Academy, April 7th Interacting With:: Akizawa-san(@Asura) The moment the goo girl shook her head caused Adrianne to tilt her head and raise and eyebrow before lightly shrugging and gesturing for Akizawa-san follow after her. The chill of the school didn't bother her too much, though she was itching to get started with classes as she slowly walked towards the building with a couple of the other girls forming their own groups and such to chat with their roommates.
Adrianne sighed, not really paying any mind to her own roommate as she went about analyzing other students on the campus who were either being led on by another older classmate, or were on their own in pairs either heading to the dorms or frittering their time away by chattering like a bunch of numbskulls. It sickened her to her stomach as she walked through the courtyard before biting her lip and glancing over at the silent slime girl.
As much as she appreciated the silence, it didn't help that the only thing she could pick up off of this girl was that she seemed introverted and kept to herself. Adrianne's sigh broke the lull of their walk as they continued to the dorms as she glanced over at Akizawa-san with a somber look on her face.
"So, uh... well..." Great start Adrianne, stuttering; you might not know what to talk about, but don't mumble like some friggin' pushover! "Akizawa-san, I'm curious about your thoughts about getting a day to adjust to this new setting," Adrianne lacked any sort of harshness in her voice, though she was candid and rigid in her speaking patterns.
"I'm not too much of a fan starting out like this as I expected us to get begin immediately," she huffed, brushing some of her hair away from her face as she glanced curiously at the gooey gals jiggling hair.
Location:: Courtroom Aurels Interactions:: Snow (@addamas) Hisakawas Interactions:: Chikako (@Ammokkx), Hibiki Matsuos Interactions:: Izo (@Vocab), Momoe, Hiroki, Chikako Aurel couldn't help but feel a knot welling up in his own stomach as he bit his own lip and clenched his trembling fist before looking to the side. While he knew he saved the other students, there was some guilt gnawed at the back of his mind as he glanced at each of the students around the Courtroom. His gaze lingered on their own expressions as he stared and looked to the side, frowning as his vision began to darken.
Her life for their lives. Aurel had never killed another person before, but it felt like he had been the one to pull the trigger to end it. It almost made him feel like he was a blackened as well, no matter how silly it may of felt. He didn't know how to feel at this moment, emotions being a melting pot of sadness, rage, relief, and so much more as comments flew around.
Somehow, Aurel managed to mentally turn it around on himself, thinking if he had just unhooked that night he could of stopped it. Maybe if he even chatted with Naomi and attempted to console her he could of stopped it. He never mad an attempt at even interacting with her and this just felt like his fault.
"Izo, Momoe, that's enough," Aurels head turned towards the flat faced young man, who pressed his glasses up, a glint reflecting off of them as smiled. The thief could barely notice he was biting his lip, and as composed as he was making himself out to be in this situation, he noticed the Tutor's right arm was trembling a little while his other arm moved in and grabbed it.
"S-she could of just told us, y'know," a shaky voice blurted out from the small crowd, the thief turning to his side to witness Hiroki staring down at the ground with a toothy frown and a fist clenched by his face. "Honestly, if y-you just told Hibiki, we could of gotten this whole situation resolved and we could of done some sorta' interv-"
"Enough."
The sternness in his voice made Aurel flinch a bit as he saw the bespectacled man turned to the other Ultimate Student and frowned, sighing as he shook his head before turning back to face Chikako. "While I don't condone her actions for obvious reasons, take into consideration her own thoughts and feelings on this all, her own perspective." He made a sidelong glance at Izo and Momoe as he approached the athletic girl he had been chained up to.
Aurel honestly didn't know what to say or think at the moment before looking directly at Snow. What were her own thoughts and feelings on this all as well? She was nearing death as well and only got lucky that Chikako and Naomi went head to head against each other, based on Ayu's deductions. Aurel chose to shift over to Snow and gave her a light tap on the shoulder, ruffling the back of his hair as he looked up at the girl.
"Hey, uh Snow," Aurel murmured, ruffling the back of his hair as he looked up at the girl with a forced smiled on his face, "how are you... what do you..." This was actually kind of hard, as he looked over to Hibiki who was still talking and consoling Chikako. He didn't completely understand it since she had just murdered another one of them, but a certain set of words stood out to him as he finally found the right words to ask the white-haired lady.
"How are you feeling? A-are you OK?" Hiroki couldn't comprehend what the Tutor was doing, trying to put the Rhythm Player at ease after throwing them into such a messy gauntlet. Nothing he said would change the fact that she murdered the Linguist! While Izo's words were a bit overbearing, she did have other options, but selected the wrong one, deciding that murder was the best option instead of anything else. His fist trembled in what looked like nervousness was more like anger as his nails dug into his flesh.
"She felt just as powerless as us, afraid of what Monokuma would do to us if we tried to push against him," unlike the Thief, he couldn't follow this guys line of thinking as he glanced over to the side, noticing the Thief trying to chat up the Hair Dresser. What was he even up to at this time anyways?
"While she resorted to murder, don't forget that she's still a person. A person who was scared and afraid of this situation, a person who felt lost and also felt like she didn't have a choice. She had aspirations to create a girl gang, loved to talk about busting her older high score when with me, and even had a fondness of grapes whenever we would eat." What was he even getting at? Hiroki huffed as he turned to look at Ayu, who was motionless and weary. He could only ponder what she was feeling in this situation right now as well as she just stood there silently. Girl gang, right, probably a way to make it easier to kill someone as well due to trust.
Hiroki shifted himself close to Ayu, maintaining a solemn, doleful visage as he swapped between keeping an eye on the girl and looking at the back of Hibiki's head. "You even told me how you were going to have the best girls only party at the lab... even encouraged me to get the guys together and said you would rent it out to us as well, heh."
Hiroki couldn't see it, but Hibiki was still smiling, holding a hand out and placed a hand over the hand that was on his shoulder, tilting his head. "I'm... sorry I never took you up on your offer to play a game of DDR with you..."
"... Chikako, do you mind taking some deep breaths with me?" Hiroki could never see from the same lens that the Tutor was looking from, could never see what was in front of the young man, only behind him. He would never even see the small tears forming in the tutors eyes, never realizing the Tutors cheerful smile was a pained, remorseful one. "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you, Chikako."
Location:: Ferris Woods Date:: 21st Sun of Ondine Interactions:: Artemisia, Avaddon, Balder, Edgar, Ianthe, Luna, and Mitra Blaike glanced over to the wayside, musing to himself, keeping an eye on the foliage while the glow from his eyes seemed to vanish for a bit. Something was up with her and he could tell it in her eyes, to the way she shifted around Avaddon; seemed a bit too stiff if you asked him. "Mitra," he muttered to himself as his thoughts drifted back to Labrenthian. Just what exactly caused her to come all the way there? Was there another slaughter, forcing her to leave as well?
Blaikes eyes suddenly shifted, flaring up as he swore he heard some ruffling in the bushes. Maybe he was getting a bit too paranoid and jumping at the first opportunity? Eh, maybe, but he would never admit that to the group as his sword hand drooped as bit before he returned it to its upright position.
He pretended to not listen to the groups chattered behind him; he was surprised Avaddon and Edgar weren't getting in on the action as well, but then again, someone had to keep watch and it couldn't be just couldn't be the Proctor. Ianthe was a rather pretty name for the lady knight, he wouldn't exactly lie, plus it was coupled with the little trivia on top of that; the priestess seemed to be well-learned, or at the very least, curious in plant-life.
Maybe in another life he would of taken up a job as an alchemist or herbalist, but that would probably just be plain silly, even for him. Brushing aside the thoughts, Blaike peered behind himself, raising an eyebrow with a inquiring frown. Maybe she wasn't a priestess like he thought, even though she was wearing the garbs for it. Of course, it seems the Black Mage had also known a bit about plant-life as well, with her name being a reference to one, which Luna instantly discerned. She was quite apt in this category it seemed.
However, Artemisia didn't seem to let up and looked to push Luna for more as Blaike turned away. Heh, glad he wasn't the only one who wanted to know more about her. As Mystery Lady Luna began to jabber on, a picture of what her background was like began to form; the thing that most stood out to him, however, was the fact that she was sheltered. That tiny, minuscule detail seemed to stick out like a nail needing to be hammered down... but that could be done later
"Ah come on, we're gonna be guildmates after this mission; I feel a little chatting won't hurt, just so long as we drop it once the fighting starts." Blaike glanced over in Mitra's direction with a cat-like smile as he tilted his head, stroking his chin with his free hand, before lightly snapping and pointing a finger gun to the trees.
"Oh, I know, how about the history of one of my inventions?" Blaike knew that this would possibly take some heat off the noblewoman, hopefully making her a little more comfortable to share what House she was from later on. "It originally started out as a machine that utilized the energy of aldite, as well as specific properties from two different types as a way to decrease the temperature around the machine," Blaike shoved a hand into the satchel the Proctor gave him before pulling out one of the complimentary aldite's, a light-blue one at that, and deftly flicking open the compartment for his sword and pointing the the white aldite with his thumb.
"Water and wind aldite; use both of them together and you can create quite the chilling combination, but I digr-"
Before he could finish his statement, Balder murmured something before some tiny figure emerged onto the path, drawing Blaike's attention as he popped the aldite he was holding back into the bag while flicking his swords compartment close with one thumb. A small flame began to form in his hand as the small, tentacled creature began to trill at the group, as if it was... analyzing them?
No, no, these were Minibros! These stupid creatures had no line of thought, aside from attacking and eating the nearest victim. Was probably sizing up who the most delectable member of the group was before running away.
Wait what. That didn't sound right, and neither did it look right either. As Blaike arched his arm back, ready to toss some flames in its face, the creature retreated. The Red Mage merely blinked as his jaw was slightly agape. Of course, Edgar was all too enthusiastic to pursue it; a reckless endeavor that would of possibly got the Apprentice piled on and eaten by multiple Minibros had it not been for the Proctor's intervention.
"Are you suggesting that we could be ambushed, Mister Grescott," he inquired, sounding deathly serious as he lookied directly at the Proctor. "We don't know what's awaiting for us, but maybe instead two of us from the group could scout ahead and figure out what that Minibros is up to? What do you all think?"
Sapporo, Japan Ishin Academy, April 7th "Interacting With":: Akizawa-san(@Asura) As Adrianne stood there, awaiting for the muscular girls arrival, she was instead greeted by what appeared to be a gelatinous pink girl who looked more like mutated Jell-O with human features. She didn't know what to make of the slime girl, but two things were for certain - for one this was someones fetish and secondly this was her roommate. While she was praying that she would room with the muscular lass due to possibly being a great spotter, the jelly gal was fine with her.
Well, as long as she worked hard. "Yeah, it's a pleasure to meet you too, Akizawa-san," Adrianne bowed and replied in a mostly monotone voice, though it did crack a bit when she did force herself to sound enthusiastic to meet the girl. She couldn't tell much about the girl besides their initial meeting, but she could see some of the practical applications of the slime girls quirk; pretty versatile from what the horned foreigner could tell, with the combat application of it being nil to her, unless she counted asphyxiation.
Adrianne could only shiver at the thought of being on the receiving end of the slime girl; someones fetish indeed. Of course, the moment the cat girl stated that this was a famous name got Adrianne's attention, even for a split second. She raised an eyebrow with a slight frown before turning away an muttering under her breath, "Oh, right, them, not mine... yeah."
Aia-senpai listed off Tanegashima and Mutsuki, two relative unknowns to her as she huffed and sighed in the background, not doing much interacting as she scratched her chin with her free hand. One of them was famous and she wondered which famous name the cat girl was referring to the relatively silent, stoic, and downtrodden looking girl. Adrianne could only frown and ponder at why she asked Mutsuki specifically where she game from, frowning and glaring at the cat girl. Something was up.
She would keep her focus on the one girl till Tanegashima came up and gave a hearty wave. So she was the girl with a brawn and bust like her. Adrianne could only click to roof of her mouth, silent contrasting the well-built lady with the gooey gal that was her roommate. While she wasn't exactly disappointed in who she got as a roommate, she would of more than likely prefer Tanegashima as her own roommate since she looked like she belonged and seemed like an excellent sparring partner.
Of course, just as some discourse (which she could care less about), the squid kid, with the subtlety of a balloon popping by a baby's crib, asked her to get on with the rooms. Honestly, she couldn't exactly blame her, especially if they were just going to waste a day to let "students" get accustomed to Ishin. Those weren't students; the correct term for them was dead weight.
Instead of continuing on in place, Aia-senpai corralled the group of newcomers and got them moving as they exited outside the auditorium. Next was Genkuro and... that bitch. Whatever, she would be out of her soon, though she did scan the crowds for whoever was to be her roommate and soon discovered that it came from a more, well passive student if her introductions was to say anything. Adrianne couldn't help but pity Genkuro, who would probably be expelled, alongside Yano, but that would probably be more so going insane than anything.
Adrianne could merely pout as she rubbed her horn awkwardly, her eyes empty as she stared off to the side, restraining herself and tuned out the green-haired imbecile, or at the very least, did her best. It's kind of difficult to ignore something when it was essentially the equivalent of nails scratching on a chalkboard, but she persevered in tuning out her incessant rambling.
Regardless of what happened, she took the opportunity to do her own assessment of everyone here, aside from her own senpai. Yes, she seemed a bit ditzy and even nervous, but again, she survived a year here, so Adrianne could personally care less about what she was like. However, the blue, bratty half-pint was paired up with a seemingly basic looking girl. Honestly, if there was anyone that screamed normal, it was this girl, even if she got into Ishin.
Honestly speaking, this chick was probably the second person she would of preferred being roomed up with due to being pretty inoffensive, though she might make a decent third depending on how Akizawa-san was like. Beyond that, she remained relatively silent and to herself as the final listings dropped as Aia-senpai finished the tour. As much as she wanted to stick around and appraise the other students, she had more important things to worry about as she tightly gripped her suitcase, shifting and hefting it around as if it were weightless.
"Now that's over with, shall we get settled in, Akizawa-san," despite the nature of the phrase, it was framed as less of a question and more an assertion based on her flat, yet somewhat rough tone of voice, gesturing to the girl to follow her. "Just t'let you know, I'm not much for talking, but I don't mind a little chit-chat."
That was a half-truth or lie depending on the perspective, but there was only one constant for Adrianne - she would humor the girl, as long as she wasn't irritating. "Also, if you don't mind, I can help carry some of your luggage to our dorms."
Location:: Ferris Woods Date:: 21st Sun of Ondine Interactions:: Artemisia, Avaddon, Balder, Edgar, Ianthe, Luna, and Mitra "I'm sure she has; come on have a little faith in her," Blaike finally spoke up after keeping to himself for a while, smiling at the women. Was like that when he entered the forest and a little more chatty than when they entered it, even getting a better idea about Artemisia's profession and general skills. She was a mage like him, though she had a bit of mystique and a certain allure that conceptualized in the form of a saucy yet dangerous woman. At least, that's what ran through his head.
And then she displayed a slow, degradation of stamina, becoming completely winded faster than the rest of the party. Opted to stay behind and keep an eye on her while staying on guard, but eventually she did recover, somewhat. There was plenty of things to juggle now, with the issues of the Black Mage's stamina to managing their flank, and even having to stay on guard.
Blaike tightly gripped his blade, flicking something near the guard to reveal a compartment of where he slotted in two aldite before closing it; fire and wind, a decent combination to stir the flames, especially with these monsters lingering about. After inspecting the weapon and the aldite for the fifth time throughout this journey, Blaike bit his lip and closed the compartment; that wasn't changing.
Regardless, looking to his flank and checking up on Artemisia every couple of seconds, jerking his head from one direction to the next as a tiny flicker of flames formed in the palm Blaike's other hand before being snuffed out when he clenched it into a fist. Picking up the pace a bit, he kept an eye on the Black Mage, taking Ianthe's place temporarily up front as he looked over to Mitra.
"Hey, uhm, Mitra, you OK?" While Blaikes smile was still there, it was a lot more muted and toned down than usual as he looked at the girl.
Interacting With Happiny (and some other Pokémon)(@PlatinumSkink), Cyril, Basil & Cecil(@hatakekuro)
Current Health Excellent
Held Item N/A => Stone(?)
Cyril couldn't help but giggle with a wide, toothy smirk as he withdrew his arm, pointing it up directly to the sky, "Yup yup, didn't expect to see you here either, pretty convenient huh!" He continued to chuckle, placing a hand on his hip as he raised any eyebrow, combing the boy over as he drooped his arms a little. "Sorry about that by the way, couldn't resist."
While he was talking, he whipped is head around to search the park around for Aster, only to not find a trace of the green Pokémon; heck, the Paras he was conversing with had scattered in that area, and it was not occupied by some aggressively playful Shinx. Cyril's eyes widened as he bit his lip, frantically searching the park for the Budew. This was probably not a good idea in the slightest as he felt his heart pumping harder and harder. Where was he, where did Aster go? Ugh, why did he even suggest such a stupid idea?! Idiot, idiot!
Cyril was actually knocked out of that worrisome thought, albeit briefly when Basil went over to his partner, Cecil, and asked if they had found something. Considering they were located by a bush and monkeying around trying to tell Basil something, maybe they were signalling that they found a Pokémon, more importantly, Aster!
Following after Basil, Cyril peered to the side of he, leaning down to level with the boy's face, "So Basil, whatcha' doing right now anyways?" Despite this question, he wondered what those kids over by the pond were getting so worked up about... actually, why did most of the common Pokémon around the park congregate there? As the Phantom Thief Aster made his escape back into his hideout, he peered outside the bush for a brief second as he jiggled his bulb. The police and gangsters of these streets were persistent, but even they were no match for the esteemed and suave Phantom Thief Aster! He puffed out his chest with a smirk on his face as he retreated into his secret lair, where he could begin planning his next heist while the others wasted time, trying to seek him out.
And what better to be in his lair were his... stones? Wait what? This shattered the Budew's immersion for a second as he totted on over to the pile, unsure about what these things were, besides stones, let alone what he even found. Leaning in, his bud began to waver a bit as it unfurled to touch a stone before looking up to see a pink creature.
Aster stayed perfectly still as they began sorting through the pile of stones before acquiring one and placing it proudly in her pouch. From what Aster could tell, she seemed jovial until she looked up to catch a glimpse at the Budew, which caused a surge of electricity to shoot down his spine, shivering for a moment. Was she like those Poochyena's and Shinx he just encountered?
‘Happiny?’
Or not.
From what Aster could see, she seemed as curious about him as he did about her, and unfurled the bud to give a little wave to her, "Fwee?" Despite his own gesture, he still inspected the baby Pokémon, who reclined back and smiled and held her hands up, ‘Hap, Happiny,’ she cried out with a smile as she leaned in, curious about the similarly shaped green Budew.
"Fee... Budew," Aster responded, puffing his tiny chest out as he interacted with the other Pokémon; seemed like the duo were introducing each other to one another as ‘Happiny!’ From what Aster could tell, she seemed to enjoy his presence, or at the very least didn't mind it as she rubbed the little rock in her pouch, purring to herself. Was that supposed to be like an egg?
"Bud, fwee?" Interested in the piles of rocks that were gathered at the center, Aster picked one up to examine it only for the Happiny to frantically cry out as she held her little arms, frantically wiggling them, ‘Hap, Hap, Happi!’ Aster stumbled around a bit, confused by this action as he danced around the rocks a bit while she explained what it was, only for him to place it back into the pile, calming the baby down.
‘Happiiiii,’ as that little spiel came to a close, she sniffled, giving Aster a small pat on the back, apologizing. "Fuh-fwee, fwah," unraveling a bud, Aster empathized with her, reassuring that everything was OK. Wait a minute, this was kind of like a treasure to Happiny, which meant...
"Fwee!" Aster suddenly announced, doing a little twirl before hopping onto the pile and puffing out his chest, much to the bewilderment of his new friend, ‘Happi?!’ He couldn't help but lightly blush, twiddling his feet on the rocks as he looked down, explaining it all to her, "Fwee, fwah fwee! Budew fwah, bud fwee, fweeeee! Fweeheehee!"
Happiny didn't get it much at first, but the way her eyes lit up with a small o as her mouth opened in interest made her clap before doing a little twirl of her own, ‘Happiny!’ Whatever this was, it seemed like she was interested in this little roleplay and got into it as well, ‘Hap, Happiny!’
Aster smiled as he hopped off the pile, gesturing for her to follow him; the heist was on! Their target was to add more gems (rocks) to their hoard! As the Phantom Thief Aster, and his partner in crime, Lady Happiny neared the edge of the door to their safehouse, his partner suddenly tugged on him. Being the ever so charming thief, Aster turned his head ever so slightly to see that his partner, Lady Happiny, was... shaking?
"Fwee? Bud, Budew, fwah?" Happiny twiddled her little nubs for hands and looked up with a frown, ‘Hap, Happiny... Pi, pi pi... Happi...’ Those words sunk in for Aster, right, she couldn't leave, especially in this state, with everyone calling out and seeking her out, there's no way they would play like this... which meant.
"Fwee! Fwah, fwoh, bud!" Happiny looked up to see Aster smiling, with her staring to glow a bit as well. Yes, she could be mission control! And then after this, they could play whatever she came up with! Happiny was elated as she hugged Aster, thanking him before seeing him off, making sure not to reveal her presence too much as Aster burst out of the bush, making what he believed to be a really cool pose.
And now, the Phantom Thief began his heist! Locked up in the bank by the lake, there was said to be a mysterious gem that was under lock and key! Security members patrolled the area nearby and the police were on the hunt for him and his partner, with giant flesh mechs seeking the capture of his lovely partner, Lady Happiny! He would need to be quick, nimble, and sneaky! This would be tough, but Aster, the luxurious Phantom Thief, could handle it!
"Fweee!" Aster yelped as a couple of new Shinx and Poochyena noticed the little bud Pokémon dashing through the 'streets,' and with their own agenda began to trot, pursue, or run at the Budew. Aster could feel his little heart beat as his eyes widened at the small horde of Pokémon that was following him, "FWEE!"
Even with the police and gangsters on him, they would never catch him! Was it because he was naturally adept at dodging fellows like these? Nah, it probably had to do with the fact that a Budew was somehow faster than a Shinx and Poochyena! Seriously, look this up, how is a Budew faster than these two Pokémon?!
Regardless, he made his great escape, hopping over hapless citizens who watched in curiosity while others got caught in the mix, becoming the victims of police 'brutality' (being tackled and cutely pawed or barked at) or advanced upon by 'gangsters' (being tackled and cutely pawed or barked at as well). Whatever the case was, this caused a bit of a stir in one area as multiple Pokémon began congregating around that area before some of the children running around the park seeking the pink baby Pokémon noticed something.
"Hey guys, there's a green baby Pokémon as well!" Oh no. The shrieking of the childre- flesh golems intensified as they caught wind of him! This wasn't good at all, oh geez, oh god, they were after him now too! "FWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" The panic only intensified as he got closer to the pond, with Finneons resting and relaxing in the pond, swimming around only to poke their heads out from time to time to interact with other Pokémon or children. Of course, what they didn't expect was there to be a stampede of Pokémon and children coming towards their oasis, seemingly spearheaded by the Budew who seemed to have tears forming in its eyes.
Some took it as a sign of playing, others went on the defensive. Whatever the case was, some of them began to shoot Water Guns directly at him, or just splash the water with some Pounds. Looks like security would be a pain for our hero- OH GOD THERE ARE MORE CHILDREN COMING FOR HIM, OH GOD!
Bobbing and weaving between the Water Guns, some barely scraped by him, only to splash a pursuer, sometimes knocking them back if they were a Pokémon. A few of the children sometimes giggled, others cried out in pain and screamed happily that they were wet, causing this whole situation to be a right mess as it broke out into a right battle royale with the Finneons diverting attention away at times, some Pokémon deciding it would be fun to play with the kids or Poochyena's, all while the Paras chittered in the background.
Thanks to his raw skills and charisma, Aster, the Phantom Thief, was obviously able to create a distraction, and not because so much happened in the span of a couple of seconds, resulting in a mishmash. Taking this opportunity, swinging on in, but much to his chagrin, there were many, many gems (rocks)! They all looked alike, possibly to hide the real gem amongst them all! Aster had to be quick and discern the real gem from the fake and get out of there before security locked the safe. Looking through the rocks, he saw one.
Snatching it up, he observed it for a second before nodding to himself with a smile on his face, "Fwee!" Yes, this had to be it! This rock was so much more smoother than the others, or at least that's what he thought. Feeling the polish of it, Aster held on tightly to the rock between his buds before observing the area around him.
Aster obtained a Stone(?)!
With that said, he began to look for his escape route, before noticing the perfect opening! There, now was his chance, as he dashed forward through the ensuring chaos, bobbing and weaving between each playful paw, tackle, and sometimes even battle that spontaneously occurred. "Hey, the green baby Pokémon is getting away!" No, the flesh security alarms caught him?!
Forcing his legs to move even faster, Aster sprinted down the streets as a part of the horde broke off from around that area to pursue him, with those flesh golems tossing their own Pokéballs at him. While most missed, one manage to bop his head before tumbling to the ground, "FWEE!"
Ouch! Ugh that golem managed to get a hit on him, but that seemed to give them pause for a moment while the rest of the horde continued their fervent pursuit, "Wait, why didn't it go in the ball?" Still, everything (didn't) seem so fine and dandy, as Aster noticed a familiar face as he got closer and closer to the safehouse, "Aster?"
Sorry partner, but he couldn't stop now, but he could tell that Cyril was worried based on the fact that he was being followed after by a decent amount of Poochyena's, Shinx's, and one or two children who were throwing out their own Pokémon while waving a Pokéball in their hand. The situation seemed dire, but the flesh golems seemed to be stopped by his partner! Did he input a code to disable them?
"Wooooaaaah, hey there kids, that Budew isn't for catching, he's my partner!" Despite this most of the Pokémon ignored Cyril, causing him to peer at where his partner ran off to. Aster looked behind him as well, jiggling his bud a bit before hopping back into the safehouse, bringing along a slew of Poochyena and Shinx, who barked at the bush or pawed at some of the leaves.
Following that, some of the children Cyril managed to pacify began to grumble before stating that they wanted to catch the kitty and dog, before pointing and running towards the bush.
Oh no. Aster had to warn Happiny, their safehouse was compromised! What might happen next? Will he be able to protect his new friend?
Find out next time on Aster, the Phantom Thief! Stay tuned trainers!
Before I forget, here's the strategy I came up with.
Avaddon aggros and brings back a ton of minibros on his track. Edgar and Luna will pick off some of the minibros that are following after him, as well as some stragglers and any that get onto Artemisia and Blaike. Balder, Ianthe, and Mitra will make sure the herd stays bunched up while killing any that get too close to them. Artemisia and Blaike will work together to create a Fire Vortex, with Artemisia using her wind magic/Aero and Blaike using his black magic/Fire. Once most of the minibros are eliminated, the group will slowly pick off the stragglers.
Afterwards, our choice on exploring the forest I suppose/going deeper into the nest.
For fighting the Mama Malboro, that's a different story. For the most part this is a ranged battle and the group will need to use the bombs Edgar made wisely. Everyone puts the Fire Aldite into their weapons and will zone the Malboro out. Avaddon and Edgar will be the ones choosing where to use the fire bombs, as we will want to knock down trees in an attempt to damage and immobilize the Malboros. Frontliners will be Balder, Ianthe, and Mitra will fight on the frontlines to keep the tentacles away, while Artemisia, Blaike, and Luna will fight from the backlines with Blaike going into the frontlines should anything happen to one of the frontliners. Artemisia and Blaike will prioritize damage, but should also work to burn any tentacles that try to harm, disarm, or disable their allies movements while Luna will focus on shooting at the Malboros eyes.
While nothing will go completely as planned, these are my two ideas I currently have for how to approach combat.
[center]Got nothing to say here, sooooo yeah.
I'm a bookworm, gamer, and obviously roleplayer since I'm on this site :P
Anyways, those are a few things that I'll say about myself... for now. Maybe I'll update this a little more in the future.
