Name: Malak, The Avenger, The Wise, The Truthful
Domain: Vengeance, balance and truth.
Description: He appears as a tall, old and wise man wearing Armour made of the charred bones of many unknown beings, wearing a black hood and mask in the shape of an owl with large, glowing white eye slots. The mask and hood disintegrate to reveal his face at his will. He has wise slate grey eyes and he has longish grey-white hair and a short grey-white beard. Upon his chest piece is emblazoned an owl
He may never tell a lie though he may refuse to answer, and he speaks quietly with a weathered voice. Occasionally, he speaks in riddles and retorts with questions. Malak may redeem a soul of his sins, only to guide another to exact vengeance upon the redeemed. In other words, he'll send one to redeem himself and the other to get revenge. He will appear as a normal man or creature, only appearing in his true form to those he chooses. He also uses various magical spells (Such as, fire, air, ice, telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation, invisibility e.t.c). Upon teleportation or turning invisible, his appearance disintegrates.
The Realm
Name: Vindicta
Description: Vindicta is the name of the realm and has a similar name to the main continent of islands. The continent, Vindict, is a collection of Warm, Humid Caribbean-like islands.
At the North, However, Is a continent called Kirema, It is filled with cold mountains and Ice instead of Islands. In this Northern location there are no volcanoes, but in place of the volcanoes are horrible blizzards and snow storms. It is also believed that Dragon-like creatures called the Rimyak and the Owl-like men called the Dowlens live in these mountains. Vindictions rarely travel to Kirema as the conditions are not of there liking.
The humid islands of Vindict are filled with active volcanoes and people exacting revenge upon one another and having wars.
In the West, there is a huge desert continent called Perania, which is filled with canyons and has harsh sand storms. Uncivilized Vindictions (The human-like men of Vindicta) Called the Perans live here, they are rumored to be cannibals that eat other Vindictions from other Peran tribes and the other Vindictions brave enough to travel there.
Malak does not have a palace or a castle, instead he ussually hides among the people of Vindict, living with them. However, he occasionally goes to the North and lives with the Dowlens, Who he trusts dearly. No one but his trusted servants ever know for certain which one of the crowd he is, but one guesses correctly and asks, he can only answer with the truth.
Malak is revered and feared by the souls in his realm, as the lord of truth and the harbinger of vengeance. People in the realm are fearful to tell a lie for fear he will smite them, though they may answer with silence.
When you enter Malak's realm, there is an unpassable gate. In order to gain access, one must confess a dark truth to the gate master. The gate master is an old man in a blue cloak. He is frail and may be killed easily, but the gates will not open and he will instantly reform in front of it. He will not be offended by this, but will instead ignore it and repeat himself.
Once a year, everyone is called upon to tell their darkest secrets. Anyone who refuses it enslaved and punished by Malak
Denizens:
Vindictions: The Human-like men of Vindicta. The only difference in appearance to humans is the fact that they can have any coloured eyes and hair naturally. The physical differences, however, are much greater. Vindictions are much stronger, faster and agile than Humans.
Perans: The uncivilized Vindictions of Perania. These men are rumored to be cannibals that eat other Perans of other tribes and Vindictions.
Dowlens: The wise Owl-like men that hail from Kirema. These are close, trusted friends of Malak and are believed by many to be myths. They are not the strongest creatures, but they use their talon like hands and feet to attack as well as hold weapons.
Rimyak: The legendary believed to be myth Dragon-like creatures, occasionally even referred to as Dragons. They hail from Kirema and use fire, ice, wind, or even telekinesis or telepathic abilities to defeat opponents. They also use the tails, mouths, feet, horns and spiked skin in combat. They appear like Dragons except they have spiked skin, clawed wings, 4 pairs of legs, horns and spiked tails.
Warlock: Any kind of male magic user that uses dark/black magic or any currently unknown kind of magic. To be fair it is more of a title given to someone, rather than a creature. The females are referred to as witches, which are usually considered evil.
The following creatures can be found in various places over Vindicta:
Bears, Wolves, Dogs/Domesticated wolves, Birds, Sharks, Witches, fish, piranhas, Giant squids Krakens, Giant Spiders, Hydra, Titans, golems and Giant snakes: Like the usual real and mythological/fantasy creatures except the snakes and spiders are bigger.
Giants:Tall, strong, powerful and extremely pale Vindictions. Depending on where in Vindicta they are they are considered different things. For example, In certain Islands in Vindict they are treated equally while other islands are racist towards them. In perania they are sometimes considered Kings of perans, gifts from the god or gods, or even gods which does not anger Malak, but does annoy him slightly.
Half-Giants: Just drastically smaller Giants that are still alot bigger than Vindictions.
Trolls: Despite being called Trolls, they are actually deformed Giants and Half-giants. The deformities can be any of the following: More than two eyes, Slimey Scaley skin, fur/hair covered bodies, hunchbacks and missing limbs or body features.
NOTE: Many more creatures can also be found in Vindicta.
Servants: Malak may offer a being the chance to become one of his servants. These servants may be put into one of the following categories:
Priest/Librarian of truth: Depending on whether throughout their lives they were truthful enough, at the end of ones lifetime, Malak may offer them the chance to become one of his immortal Priest/librarian of truth. The priest/librarian of truth are wise and given great knowledge and respect from Malak. It does not matter if they are an evil assassin or a Saint, if they were truthful enough Malak may offer them this chance.
Wrath (or voice) of Malak: Sometimes Malak will give people the chance to become one of his warriors for example, this could happen after a battle between some one Malak has sent to redeem themselves, and some one who Malak has sent to get revenge on the redeemer. The survivor of this encounter depending on there skill in combat may be given the opportunity to become one of Malak's warriors. They are usually referred to as a "Wrath of Malak" in combat, and a "Voice" when speaking. On another note, they can be mortal or immortal.
Harkon: These creatures are made specifically to serve Malak in combat. Bred for combat, the Harkon are skilled with all weapons and are armored in the same unknown bone armor as Malak (Except instead of a hood they have a helmet) and are equipped with various unknown bone weapons and are equipped with flintlock guns which creation and functionality is unknown to the rest of Vindicta. They also use various magical spells (Such as, fire, air, ice, telekinesis, telepathy, teleportation, invisibility e.t.c) and are summoned at will by Malak. There appearance is unknown to the beings of Vindicta as when they die they and their equipment disintegrate. However their actual appearance is that of a bald grey skinned Vindiction with sharp, pointy teeth, claws, pointed ears and a flat nose. They all look exactly the same.
General Shale: The Commander of the Harkon. He is much stronger and much more skilled than the rest of the Harkon. Unlike the rest of the Harkon, he has a different appearance, he has long Jet black hair and a Jet black beard. He is also the most trusted friend of Malak and the only one who has thoughts of his own. This is so he can help Malak with choices and strategies.
Shadows: An almost transparent/invisible mist which is rarely seen and is hard to spot. These are Malak's Spies, thieves and infiltrators.
