I am perpetually digging a deeper hole for myself. In real life, that habit torments me daily. Online, not so much. It must be the fact that I'm hiding behind a laptop, but I'm not actually afraid to speak my mind. I'd like for you to know that there is a difference between knowing when to hold one's tongue and speaking one's mind. I'm pretty sure I've got that down pat (probably not tho, let's be honest). While I'd like to abstain from holding the title of Public Enemy #1 and friendship is something I make an effort towards, I can take a hint. If you'd rather not be friends, I understand, and will gladly meet you with the same attitude you meet me with (if not take it a bit further (I'm sorry in advance)). Kindness, patience, and civility will be paid back, plus interest, as will rudeness, sick burns, and overall disrespect. Again, sorry in advance. I don't think I'm too terribly argumentative. hm.... maybe I am.....
As for the things that actually matter on this website, I make an effort to write properly. I'm not bothered by any writing style because I don't actually know who's writing, or what their circumstances are. I will never correct any spelling, grammatical, or other errors (please hit me if I do). I think that it is rude to put one's hand into another person's creation. You wouldn't redo one of Picasso's later pieces, would you? NO! You wouldn't rewrite Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment, no matter how completely long and boring it is. Are you Picasso or Dostoyevsky? I think not. Both those men are dead. And, let's be honest, we're writing text based role plays on an internet nerd-hub. I am one of those nerds, and so to act better-than-you and more privileged is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. We're not publishing books here, people! We're writing on the internet for FUN. It's meant to be fun.
Malfunction: TRPWHSPS (that's a mouthful) is a military-esque RP set in a world where the Cold War did not end as we know it. Nuclear war broke out, everyone was bombing everyone, until the countries united to create The New World Order. The NWO was safety for the survivors who were affected by the effects of the war. Radiation was still an issue for the oncoming generations. It created mutations with certain abilities, now called Malfunctions. Malfunctions are identified during annual tests administered to children from ages 14-20. Once a child has been identified, they are promptly disowned by society and shipped off to a training facility, considering that they are not too dangerous.
That is where this story take place. TEF-149 is the newest, state of the art prison training facility for Malfunctions who may become of some use to society someday. The Malfunctions are trained to work as an elite military task force specifically to keep The New World Order safe. They will learn how to hone their abilities, work as a team, mindlessly follow orders, and put the safety of citizens before their own.
Hi, I'm Discord. If this RP looks familiar, it's because it's been around for a while. The original RP didn't even get off the ground! ( ˘̩ ╭╮˘̩ ) So, I, and some others from the original, asked permission from the authors and are trying to start it up again! Things are going pretty slowly at the moment, so there's plenty of time/room for you to join in! Fair warning, I was very stupid at the beginning of the new thread and got into an argument with another user. It only took up four posts, though, so it's not a huge fight. I just wanted to warn you. I'm really sorry that that happened and that I was a part of it. I promise to never do it again. I can't say sorry enough, honest. I hope that you will not let that deter you from joining us. We really want to see this RP develop. Many thanks, Discord!
If the other two don't post their ICs soon, we can continue. We just won't time skip until their first ICs are up. Looks like It's going to be a long night. :P
@knockout709 I'm sorry for not getting back to you sooner! There has been a lot of things to deal with in the new thread. The first IC post was posted on Saturday, but we're still waiting on everyone's first post. If you're still interested, we'd love to have you!
@Witch Cat It will be up to the writers, what happens to their characters as far as training and "leveling up" goes. Some training will be required to progress in powers. How much, exactly should be different for each character. We will have to keep each other in check, of course, so that no one becomes OP.
