Bio

Hi! I'm Shade, a girl out of central California. Roleplaying has become a hobby of sorts for me, so here I am on this lovely website. Creative writing is a favorite pastime of mine, so exercising it with the help of other people brings me a lot of joy.

I have school during the day, so I'm usually active from 4-10 P.M. PST.

"Wow I don't think I have ever seen you blush before, it's a nice look on you though, you look cute." Now that was something. 'Cute' was probably the last thing Kitala would describe herself as; the fact that he was teasing her made her pout a bit, probably not helping the "cute" front all that much. "I would, um...care to disagree with that...statement..." Not two seconds later, Kitala felt someone bump into her, knocking her donut out of her hand and onto the ground. Kitala just stared for a moment, her jaw agape, before turning around to look at the filthy, vile creature that had deprived her of the sole object of her affections.

"Ah . . ."

Kitala was met with a tiny, cloaked figure who must have been seven inches shorter than her. But that didn't matter. "K-Kitala, ...now I know your mad but don't do anything harsh..." But heaven and earth be damned, she paid for that. With a tense jaw, Kitala spoke. "Is that...all you have to say?" Tightening her hands into fists, Kitala's eyes seemed to darken a bit. Today was a day of peace, but not when someone messes with her damn donuts. And not only was her donut prey to this damned fool, they also managed to drop their own donut. If Kitala needed to loosen up, she was miserably failing. "I swear to the Celestial King himself, I am going to knock your teeth out if it's the last thing I do, you damned demon-"

"There you go. But you should be more careful, Miss."

Kitala's gaze slowly shifted to the stranger who just spoke, holding a somehow perfectly clean donut in his hand and offering it to her. She suddenly felt very unsure of herself. Looking him up and down, Kitala narrowed her eyes a bit; wasn't he part of Harpy's Wing? She could have sworn that she'd seen him somewhere. "...Thank you." Gently taking her donut back, she slowly set it back down on a table next to her. "These festivals can get sort of...crazy." Kitala nodded, her eyes still narrowed. Returning her gaze back to Phoebe, she reached out and-somewhat roughly-tried to throw the white hood off of her head. Whoever this was, she wanted to look them in the eyes.

Roxy's attention switched to Sage as he moved between her and the other girl in line. She didn't mind, exactly; he was excited too, of course! "Uhh... hi. Sorry for quite literally butting in. You both just getting started, too?" He seemed nice enough, and as such Roxy immediately deemed him a decent person. "Yep! I came all the way here from the Hoenn region. What about you?" Making friends from other regions was one of the things Roxy was most excited for on her little journey; after all, the world was wide enough, right? Learning about the landmarks and Pokemon of other regions was surely a worthy endeavor. At that thought, Roxy wondered if she would end up going home after gallivanting around Chromis, or venture off to some other region. She supposed that she'd cross that bridge when she came to it.

"I'm sorry but I did. I thought your little friend would like a snack and I had just made a new batch of Poke-puffs before coming here. I do hope that doesn't bother you." Returning her attention to Aiden, her smile widened just a bit. "Oh, no, I don't mind! That's, like, super sweet of you, actually!" As Zorex jumped up and down around Lucina, the ordinarily stern Riolu couldn't help but return the excitement, bouncing up and down herself. Roxy found it to be the most adorable thing...ever. "I just saw how cute your little Riolu looked in that scarf and figure, why we're waiting why not enjoy some good snacks!" Roxy grinned and nodded. Next to Pokemon, food-particularly dessert-might just be the greatest thing in the universe. Plus, Lucina is adorable. "That's the truest thing I've heard all day," she replied, humor apparent in her tone.

"Name's Aiden," he said, offering an outstretched hand. Roxy happily shook his hand, only just now realizing she didn't even know his name. This was followed by the realization that he didn't know her name, either. "I'm Roxy. It's nice to meet you!" Here she was, already making friends left and right. "I know it may be a bit of an odd introduction, but would you care for a battle? I've never fought a Riolu before and it seems Zorex is itching to play! And besides no better way to make a new friend than a good match!" Roxy laughed a bit, looking down at her Riolu for a moment. "What do you think, Lucina? Up for a battle?" Lucina replied with a cheer, throwing her arms up. She was fond of battles, wasn't she? And a Gible could be a fun challenge. "I think that's a yes, then! You're on."
@TheHangedManpossibly but I only let Xerath be known because he sticks out like a sore thumb.

@Shadeflare123Oh lord

It'll be fiiiiinneee. Maybe.
@pkken

Ohhhhh gosh. You're right. Welp, three cheers for anger management failure!

EDIT: @TheHangedMan Kitala wouldn't recognize her from Golem's Hand, maybe? Even if she doesn't know, she's still about to kill something
@Shadeflare123
I know right, let me go right my post so you can get yours going.

Take your time

Apathetic vs Volatile. In a crowded festival. This should be interesting.

Damn. She was doing so well

As she quietly waited for the Professor's return, Roxy didn't even notice Aiden walking up behind her. Rocking back and forth on her heels, she absentmindedly glanced around at the inside of the building. It wasn't much unlike the places her parents work in...though she shook that thought from her head as soon as it occurred to her. They were the last people she wanted to think about. Lucina, however, was in a totally different state of mind. Turning to face Aiden, who had tapped her shoulder, the Riolu stared with wide eyes at the sweet-smelling treat before gingerly taking it in her paws and taking a bite out of it.

"Rii!" The sound nearly made Roxy jump out of her shoes. Turning around, Roxy's eyes widened a bit in surprise at the sight of Aiden, as she had no clue he was there in the first place. Looking down at Lucina, she felt a bit confused as to just what her Riolu was eating. Returning her gaze back to Aiden, her expression melded into a soft smile; he was holding a tin of some sort, so he must have given Lucina the dessert she was happily chowing on. "Oh, hi! I'm Roxy, it's so nice to meet you! Did you, ah, give Lucina something?" Nevermind that she didn't know what her Pokemon was eating; it smelled good even from where she was standing. And anyone kind enough to share treats with strangers' Pokemon must be kind.

Lucina looked over at the cute little Gible that was accompanying Aiden, her eyes once again widening. Sinnohian Pokemon weren't exactly commonplace in Hoenn; did he come all the way here from Sinnoh? Again, she thought of her parents; Sinnoh was their home, wasn't it? Maybe she could learn a thing or two about it from him. At that, the Professor returned to hand them their new Pokedexes. Roxy jumped up and down with excitement, holding the technology in her hand and grinning widely. She was generally familiar with how to use it, given that her parents were researchers who pretty much always had dibs on the latest Pokemon technology. "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" This marked the start of her journey; of course she was excited.

Kitala at once noticed how...at ease Xerath was. That wasn't exactly commonplace when it came to her, seeing as she was, well, her. Aggressive. Violent. Intimidating. "I hope your having fun and not causing any trouble for anyone, Delsin wouldn't tolerate it especially today," he remarked. She found the laid-back smile on his face oddly charming. Kitala supposed that she should appreciate the fact that he wasn't worried about her punching him in the face, or something. The Sound mage managed to relax just a bit at that thought. "Well, I'm...doing my best on that front," she replied, chuckling softly. Trouble was the last thing she wanted to get into right now, given that she was intimately familiar with the concept of getting in trouble.

"I called you over here because I couldn't help but laugh when I saw you devour that donut in one bite." Crap, he saw that? And laughed? That's...horrifically embarrassing. "I-um-well, I was...hungry?" A light red played across her cheeks, though she was blissfully unaware of this fact. Gods above, she'd never wanted to punch herself in the stomach this much before. Today was a day of peace, perhaps, but tomorrow called for some serious skull bashing. Sparring sounded like such a sweet, sweet escape right now. Her eyes followed Xerath's as he looked up into the sky as she wondered just what it was he was thinking about. Such a philosophical guy, huh?

He turned back to face her. " "I know golem's hand can be strict but we never lose sight of what is important, though we value power what makes us different is what we use that power for, and we do it to protect the people." His hand was on her head, ruffling her hair as he spoke. Something about it made her feel childish. Like she was twelve, almost. And thus, the already-present red on her face brightened a few shades. "Y-yeah, I know...protecting people is why I joined to begin with. It's um...the most important part of being in Golem's Hand, I think." It was the honest truth, anyway.
