*face palms once again at Sephie's comment before continuing the conversation* Well, I had in my mind's eye that the fight was taking place in a long hallway and that our group of characters was about 3/4's down the hallway when all the action started happening. Ergo, your barrier wouldn't have reached far enough to keep Michael from using his hand-to-hand combat magic on Nimika.

Different world different spell. Anti magic bubble is like a grounding field which stops all magic from getting cast from the inside of the field or in this case bubble.

Well, just how far out does this bubble go, because, if I recall correctly, you cast it to encase the "group", meaning Sephie's characters and my character. If that's so, then Michael simply stepped out of range and attacked Nimika outside the bubble.

Huh, strange. I thought when one makes an anti-magic barrier, it blocks any magic from getting in. Meaning it would bounce off, but you would still be able to cast magic on the inside, you know?

Now, moving faster than Nimika can react to, Michael lashes out from every possible angle with his sword. After a few strikes, however, he switches to using fists engulfed in shadows. "Shadow Dragon's Slash!" He says as he punches her, the attacks doing a lot of damage. Then, as the last of the punches connects, he switches to his shadow form, wrapping himself around Nimika before reappearing and releasing a torrent of shadows upon the witch. "Shadow Dragon's Waxwing Flash!"

As Michael rounds the corner and spots Nimika standing in front of a door, he returns to his human form only to hear a blood-curdling scream. The pitch of the voice and the fact that the witch had been chasing down Cloudly earlier could only mean one thing. "Chikusho...There's no way...NIMIKA!" He shouts as her name as his aura becomes more intense, the light fully gone from his eyes. The look on the tactician's face is one of pure hatred. "I will show you no mercy..." He states as he creates a sword out of shadows. However, he doesn't advance just yet, for it seems Srg had beat him to the punch, already attacking Nimika.

"Meora-chan! Chikusho..." Michael exclaims as Nimika practically suffocates her. Then, seeing the witch run off and pursue Cloudy, the shadows around him grow slightly thicker as he begins to slowly lose his cool. "You're not...getting..away!" He says as through sheer will power, Michael frees his hands from the bindings, makes a few hand movements and slams his hands on the sealing, causing the bindings on everyone to break. Then, in order to break everyone's fall, Michael casts Arcwind, causing a small air pocket to form below them, slowing them down. As soon as Michael's feet touch the ground, he turns into a shadow and goes into hot pursuit for Nimika.

Anna yelped as she was suddenly lifted into the air, but didn't totally panic thanks to Ven's warning her. "Thanks, I appreciate the warning." She said it without any sarcasm. She twisted around until she got her hand inside her backpack (which miraculously survived the tumble into the ravine) and withdrew a six-inch long sheathed knife. She hated using weapons but her brother had given it to her and told her to use it if she was ever in trouble. "Hey Ven, I can't use weapons very well, but I've got a knife? Not going to do anything until the beast attacks though, cause I don't want to provoke it?"

"Ah, good call! I've got a weapon myself. If you'd like, I could give you a crash course on weaponry sometime." He says, feeling like a casual conversation would keep him from messing up along the way. So far, he'd been doing pretty good in terms of avoiding any stray roots or branches that could prevent him from making a clean getaway from the chimera. "Man, of all the things to be chased by, it just has to be a chimera. In a jungle, of all places!" Ven states.
