"It was WAAAAY too easy to beat! That was so short! So boring!"
With that, Persephone starts walking towards Inigo and Morgan. "You guys alright? You looked preeeetty cool out there!" Before either of them can respond to Persephone, their father’s shadow begins to laugh, its eyes becoming an eerie yellow. “You want a challenge, don’t you….fine, I’d be more than happy to indulge you...Let the games..BEGIN!” The shadow builds in power before completely transforming into its true form, a dragon. However, since it only partakes in a fraction of Michael’s power, its appearance is affected, seeming more like an undead, rotting avatar being held together by shadow stitches rather than the fearsome dragon the original truly is. “Don’t let its looks fool you. That shadow is still a powerful force to be reckoned with…” Morgan warns Persephone, hoping she won’t become overconfident. “You’re rather lucky, milady. Father doesn’t challenge others very often. As for why that is...well, I suspect you’ll find out soon enough.” Inigo remarks. “We’ll support you as much as we can, but in the end, it’s between you and him.” He finishes, he and his sister preparing themselves before the shadow creates an impregnable barrier, separating the trio from the rest of the group.
“Hm?....Oh….ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.” Persephone watches Michael’s shadow transform, blinking slowly after he’s finished.
“Look what you did now!” Ruitsume cries.
“S-scaryyy…” Kanashiko shuffles behind Ruitsume.
“It’s a big spook!” Persephone grins.
“IT’S A LITTLE MORE THAN JUST ‘A BIG SPOOK’, PERSEPHONE, CHRIST!” Ruitsume is obviously, slowly being driven mad by Persephone’s carefree attitude towards danger.
Persephone looks over to Inigo and Morgan, listening to what they have to say. She laughs a little. “Oh, I know he’s a force to be reckoned with. Just because I don’t look like I’m shaking in my boots doesn’t mean that I’m treating him like he’s nothing. It’s just that I prefer to treat each battle as something fun and exciting, y’know?”
“I apologize. My friend is delusional, and hardly takes anything seriously.” Ruitsume explains with a sigh.
“Heheheheh….maybe I am.” Persephone turns her face to the ground, her voice changing to an...eerier tone.
“Oh no...I don’t like this...we might lose her again…” Kanashiko whimpers.
“Who knows? Maybe...he’ll win. Maybe I’ll win. Maybe...we’ll both lose?” Persephone’s grin becomes more sinister, growing as hundreds of light orbs begin floating around her. “Or...maybe we’ll ALL lose!” She looks back up at her opponent, the pupils of her eyes now cat-like slits. The orbs turn into a barrage of regular and colored pencils, which soar at her target like little arrows. After they’ve been launched, she quickly draws her pencil-sword from her bag and pounces at the beast that is now Michael’s shadow.
“Don’t worry Kana.” Ruitsume mutters in a grave tone, aiming for only the small witch in blue to hear her. “If we do lose her again...I’ll handle it.”
The shadow dragon roars as the pencils pierce through it. However, rather than sounding pained, it seems enraged, a majority of the pencils actually breaking when they make impact on its form. The others that managed to stick to the dragon are quickly removed, absorbed by its shadows and repurposed. The witch now has her own magic being used against her, orbs of darkness forming around the dragon, volleys of shadow-corrupted black pencils now being released in her direction. Considering that she is now in midair, Persephone may have a rough time getting out of the way of this attack.
