Bio

Okay, let's see; I started roleplaying by post way back when that meant writing a turn down by hand, sticking it in an envelope and sending it to a GM through the plain mail, not email. Games I remember with fondness are Saturnalia, Amaranth, Absolute Heroes....

I'm a wannabe writer and love inventing and developing characters and worldbuilding. Fantasy, horror (supernatural) and superhero are probably my favourite genres. I'm not adverse to a bit of cyberpunk or space opera, but hard sci-fi with lots of technobabble leaves me cold.

I can be found lurking on the Nano site or YouTube when I'm not spending time exclusively in the real world and have the same username everywhere, so if you see a Shaitarn on another site feel free to wave.

@jasonwolf Nick would be fine with that; it's nice to have someone you can talk shop with!

Finally! it took me a while longer than I'd expected to get these two done. Please let me know if they need overhauling or tweaking in any way:

@MrDidact I was thinking of a character who can manipulate metal (actually just steel really) on a molecular level I guess, re-shaping it into whatever he wants. So long as he's touching it with his bare hands it flows like liquid into whatever form he wants (just solid objects though - blades yes, guns no).

That said, I've just come across a picture of a black girl wielding fire, so I now have an African-American girl with pyrokinesis powers taking shape in my mind and I may well have to go with her as she's such a strong idea. I'll get a character sheet up in the next 24 hours.
@MissCapnCrunch@ayzrules

Thank you both; they're both really great characters, so please move them to the CS tab when you're ready.

Hopefully we can get someone else to come and join us!
@MissCapnCrunch Accepted; she looks good!

And I forgot to say, but if your character has a super name (like The Flash, Wolverine, etc.) then feel free to add that as well.
I was thinking of two supers: one with metal manipulation and one who whose ability is to boost the super powers of another super. Are they okay or would you like me to change one or both of them given the people we already have?
@ayzrules Yes please. And no problem - real life gets a bit busy sometimes!
A group of villains have raided the many worlds of the multiverse and captured a number of superhumans, both heroes and other villains, taking them back to their base to drain them of their powers and add them to their own. The sidekicks (or apprentices) of these captured supers have joined forces and travelled to this base to recover their captured mentors and restore their powers before these uber-villains conquer their homeworlds.

Can the young budding heroes/villains survive, or will their temporary alliance be destroyed before they can take on these villains?

Players take on the roles of the sidekicks and/or the uber-villains. Sidekicks and villains can be fandom characters, original sidekicks/enemies of pre-existing characters (you want to play the Joker’s fictional sidekick, the Punster? No problem) or totally original characters. Characters can be from any sort of fictional background – traditional superhero, fantasy, horror, whatever you can think of (no reason why Merlin or Van Helsing shouldn’t have a sidekick).

Two last points:
1 – to restore their mentor’s powers, the villains are going to have to be kept alive. If a villain’s killed before the powers can be restored, then the hero's not getting them back.

2 – there’s no reason why villainous sidekicks shouldn’t try to betray or leave the others if necessary. Villainous sidekick Ninja-boy might work with the others to recover his mentor Ninja-master, but is he going to want his master’s arch-enemy, Super Samurai, restored? If your character might double-cross the others, can you please PM me in advance.
