Meg nodded her head at the boy’s question. “I don't usually lie,” she muttered softly. She had noticed his strange actions, but didn't seem to think the electricity affected him that much. The moment he landed in her arms, her eyes widened and her cheeks dusted over with a light pink. “N-Nah, kid, y-you’ll be fine,” she murmured as he nuzzled in her shoulder, awkwardly patting him on the back. “They won't arrest you; you didn't do too much damage.”
Glancing back at her classmates, especially Dante and Anneli, she had a look of bewilderment about her. Her gaze was quizzical, as if asking the group, “What the hell is going on?” Before they would even begin to answer her, she turned to the professor. “I can take Garin to the nurse’s office, if you don't mind. Looks like he wants me to take him, anyway.” She sent a small glance to Hana, silently asking her friend to catch her up on what would happen later.
She pat Garin’s head before continuing. “C’mon, kiddo, let’s go with the professor.” She stepped away from him and offered her hand to him like a mother would to a child. Only, this child was much larger than herself.
She glanced over at Anna as she fell. "Hey! Nice try!" she encouraged the new girl, giving her a half smile. "You don't have to do the best; hell, I was 1 meter away from the line while everyone jumped farther than I did." She then turned her attention back to Garin. Hopefully those words helped her.
