Name: Persephone Arrosá (Born Miranna Kva'ton)
Aliases: Perse (Percy)
Age: 37
Species: Cyborg/Ithlo
Birth Planet: Alazden
Allegiance: Varies from moment to moment. Whatever cause she thinks is right.
Gender: Female
Occupation: Pilot/bodyguard
Height: 5'10
Build: Stocky and muscular. Kind of broad, but still feminine.
Eyes: She has cybernetic eye implants which are a dark purple.
Hair: Pink hair, which is basically the redhead of the Ithlo.
Skin Tone: Also pink, though noticeably less bright than her hair.
Tattoos/Scars/Piercings: She has multiple scars, though most of them are fairly well hidden. If one were to look closely at the areas of skin around all of her cybernetic implants (like where her arm meets her shoulder, or the implants around her eyes) they would see faint scarring from her surgeries.
Personal Style: Perse is a very confident, vibrant person, and it shows through in her attire. She is almost always dressed in something bright and colorful unless she's going on a stealth mission. In which case, she'll dress down for the sake of not getting shot. But she'll complain about it.
Sassy * Flirty * Blunt * Friendly * Intuitive
Relationship Status: Single
interview: How did you hear about the Veritas Lux Mea? Oh that. Well! I was lurking on some of the comms in our general area, and I've heard a few titters about this
beautiful ship of yours. You guys are starting to get a bit infamous. Hehe. But anyways, then I was passing through and heard you guys send a comm out to the shooty boys over there, and... Well, you know the rest!
How well do you deal with a high stress situation?I like to think I deal with stress pretty well. I might start cursing and saying we're all gonna die, but I think I keep a relatively cool head. Usually.
What do you think about the government?Which government? Or governments in general? The human government? Well, it sucks. Majorly. Like... I mean none of them are perfect, but at least the Ithlo give us free healthcare. And dental. We get free dental. Don't you guys like barely get fed on the outskirts or something? Or was that an exaggeration? Oh. Well. No wonder you guys are revolting.
What do you think about people not of your species? They're wonderful! I love meeting people from new cultures and places. Oh there was this one time when I first met a human that this really hot soldier dude- oh you don't... You don't have time for this story. Okay. I gotcha.
How do you feel about less than legal operations?Cap, less than legal operations are my jam. That's what I've survived off of for the past twelve years.
How would your acquaintances describe you?Friendly! Talkative, flirty, uhh… Maybe annoying. I tend to talk a lot and get everyone mad at me, because I can kinda just keep going for a while. I also have a bad habit of being a little too truthful, so a few have gotten mad at me for that.
How would your mother describe you?My mother. Hm... I don't know. She'd probably say something about being just like my dad, which is sometimes a compliment, sometimes an insult. She always told me I was like my dad.
How would you describe yourself?Uh... Loud. A good pilot! I don't know. I just am who I am. What you see is what you get, and you can kind of take it or leave it I guess. I mean unless you spot unhealthy mannerisms, in which case please tell me! I don't want to be toxic to anyone. I just kinda do my own thing.
What do you know about us?Not a lot, just what I've heard over the chatter. I know you guys are trying to get something started with the human government, and that you're angry and desperate. I don't blame you. I would be too.
Why do you want this job?I've felt the sting of oppression before, and it's not pretty. I feel for you guys and what your people are going through, and I want to help in whatever way I can. Plus if I can get paid for doing minorly good deeds, that's all the better!
Why should I hire you?I have a pretty nicely rounded skillset that I think you'll find to be of advantage. I'm strong, so I can be used to carry stuff, I'm decent with a blaster, and I'm a pretty good pilot if I do say so myself. You seem to be in want of a pilot right now. Not to mention, while I suck at lying, I'm still trustworthy about important things like this, and I will die before I betray you.

History: Persephone was born as Miranna Kva'ton, daughter to As'bak and Tolran Kva'ton, diplomats from the Ithlo government. They traveled around a lot, often changing assignments in the blink of an eye, and never staying anywhere very long. Despite very busy schedules, they were a happy family. Miranna was inseparable from her parents. Even when she was a little older, the young Ithlo loved traveling around and getting to make new friends, and seeing all of the different cultures. She was star struck by all of the magnificent wonders the universe held, and elated that she got to experience them firsthand.
Unfortunately, many years of being a kind, compassionate, and understanding diplomat wore on her father. He'd grown tired of having to constantly feign appearances in order to maintain good relations. He wanted out of the job, and asked to be relieved of duty. After all, he and his wife had been doing this well before they'd had Miranna, and certainly they were due some sort of extended leave, at the very least. The higher ups did not want As'bak to leave, and pleaded with him to stay on for just a few more years. He agreed, and it led to his downfall.
Now, as everyone knows, Glaos are typically very foul tempered. They're snarky, sarcastic, ill-mannered, and just overall unfriendly. It takes a very patient person to deal kindly with a Glao. As'bak's patience had long been worn down to a thread, and all it took was a Glao in a bad mood to make him snap. He got into a physical altercation with a Glao "diplomat," and was dishonored. As'bak, his wife, and Miranna were forced to shave their heads to signify their shame, and due to being shunned by most of their friends and family, they left Ithlo territory in order to move somewhere with a more... forgiving culture.
But they never reached their destination. On the outskirts of Naka territory, their transport vessel was attacked by pirates, and they crash landed onto a nearby planet. Miranna's parents did not survive. Miranna herself was on the brink of death. She had internal injuries, as well as extensive burns on her limbs from where she'd curled up in a ball to protect herself from an explosion. One of her limbs was severed, and the others were completely useless. She very nearly bled to death.
The pirates that raided her ship found her broken body, and decided that she might be of some use as a laborer on their ship, so they took her to a "doctor," who replaced everything that was damaged with cybernetic implants. Miranna received new eyes, legs, arms, a kidney, part of her torso, and skin grafts, all cybernetic implants. When she woke up, Miranna was no longer an Ithlo. She was a cyborg. A servant. An
abomination. Had she still possessed tear ducts, the girl would have sobbed her new eyes out.
Still, the pirates hadn't intended to kill her family, and while they weren't exactly broken up over having free reign to all the loot, they cut Miranna a deal. If she stayed with them until she worked off the money they spent fixing her, and a little extra to make it worth their while, they would feed her, clothe her, give her shelter, and treat her as part of the crew. Then when she worked off her debt, she could leave. It was either that or just stay a servant and be treated worse with no hope of escape. Either way, she was staying there for a while, so she chose the lesser of two evils.
And so that's how she lived. From the age of thirteen all the way down to twenty-seven, Miranna spent fourteen years working off her debt. In order to avoid all of the drama that came from being part of a (missing) dishonored Ithlo household, Miranna changed her name to Persephone. The humans had just started moving in, and they had wonderful tales of their ancient mythologies and religions, and Miranna was fascinated by it all. She took the name Persephone Arrosá when she was fifteen, and never went back. The Ithlo didn't want her, so there wasn't much point in clinging to an identity with no worth.
When Persephone was twenty-eight she saved up enough money to get a small fighter. With that little rickety ship, she traveled the galaxy in search of her next job, blowing around like a leaf on the wind. As long as her ship had gas and her bank account had money in it, she was footloose and fancy free. After several years, she carved out a little bit of a reputation as a reliable pilot and bodyguard, as well as the occasional escort for bigger freighters with precious cargo. Persephone was free. But freedom without purpose wasn't as satisfying as she thought it would be, so when she heard the Veritas was in trouble, she instantly jumped at the chance to join the human fight for freedom (and hopefully make a little bit of coin).
