After Wayne took his finger away from the map, Yuri presented the rough location on the map to the survivors once more.

"Around here."

Folding the map and putting it in the left read pocket of his jeans, Yuri ran up to the table where he put his jacket and the kukri. Grabbing the jacket with his left hand and the machete with the right, Yuri turned to Ishmael and the kids.

"You three should get into the van!"

Running through the door, Yuri decided to go with Wayne.

It was already known that the horde would come to the pit stop. What surprised him was that while most of the horde was moving slowly and was still at a pretty reasonable distance away, they began picking up their speed - up to a jogging pace (Reference: Episode 102 "Guts").

"Oни могут бежать?!?"

Opening the passenger's door to Wayne's truck, Yuri threw his green jacket on the seat. Slinging the kukri on his right shoulder and holding his left palm around his chest, Yuri yelled at the cabin:

"HURRY THE HELL UP!!! THEY ARE GETTING CLOSER!!!"

He was waiting for the drivers to get in their cars and was trying to buy them some time. One or two of the faster ones, maybe more, Yuri could handle on his own, since he already knew you had to aim for the head to kill them and the gurkha knife was known to do some serious damage, but there was no point in poking the devil with a stick.

Once Wayne could start the engine of his truck, Yuri got back into the car.

Just to double check, we've got two trucks and a blue Ford Focus, right?

The Focus was deserted by Yuri when he escaped the highway.
*I am pretty sure that we have set this to be a building type rest stop (Up ahead for those who are running there is pit stop, a rest station where no one has gone, likely safe for now. To meet up with other survivors. The horde moving to slow.)

Yuri was not fazed. The guy knew what he was talking about, maybe had a profession connected to the topic OR simply searched for trivial things on the internet like Yuri himself.

"Cars usually have anti-theft systems on them to prevent theft and, well, they are mostly sound based. So I decided to look for the alternative, since the highway fiasco most likely started because of the sound that was made."

He kept on:

"Pleased to meet you too. And I'd be grateful if you would help me."

Yuri nodded his head.

After finishing the conversation, Yuri put his jacket and the kukri on the nearest table. Before greeting everyone else, he decided to make a quick check of the place.
...
The place was ransacked by the previous visitors. The only thing worth taking Yuri found was a highly detailed map of the El Paso County. After checking it, he spoke out:

"Maybe we should head for Fort Carson?"

Shortly afterwards, Tom noticed a car coming up.
Looking at Wayne, Yuri began naming off most things he could think in a moment:

"Uhh, Medical supplies. First aid kits must be in those by law. Hopefully some tools that could be used. Maybe duck tape, probably an magazine hid somewhere. I noticed that "those things" bite other people so that they turn into "them", so, maybe, if you taped magazines around your forehand you could stuff it inside their mouths to avoid getting bitten in unprotected areas. Have you ever tried biting thought a magazine?
что еще?

Maybe the cleaning supplies themselves could be used somehow..."

Yuri asked for Wayne's name and offered a handshake.

"As I mentioned, my name is Yuri. I heard hers, but not yours."
...Yuri entered the facility.

Yuri walked in when Serene was talking to Wayne. During that moment, Yuri checked the people who arrived.
When Serene finished her last sentence, Yuri formed his hand into a fist and put it in front of his mouth, coughing twice.

*Cough* *Cough*

"Sorry to interrupt, but hello! My name is Lakeev, Yuri. I believe that you are from the highway just like me. I think that I might be the last one to come. The mob you mentioned... Those undead cannibals... They are still at the roadblock. Well, most of them are. Ea... Those poor bastards. We still have some time, but, as you mentioned, not much.
Is there a janitors or a maintenance room around here? They could have something we could use."

Yuri tried to be as polite as possible, as the first impression was always the most important. Especially when you need to rely on your new allies.
Yuri was walking towards the rest stop, tired from all the running through the highway. Wiping the sweat off his forehead with his forearm, he looked back not seeing any other survivors. It looked as if he were the last man standing.

If it were not for the man Yuri saved, he would simply roam around until he would end up like everyone else. Yuri was faster than the man and left him behind. He thought that he should go back, but decided to keep going forward. Hoping to be able to call any of his friends, Yuri took out his phone. He noticed that there was no signal, despite that it was still there half an hour ago.

Seeing the rest stop made Yuri speed up his pace, he began running towards it. As he ran, Yuri passed a body with its head hanging by a piece of skin, he finally saw the pit stop at its full glory.
...
As Yuri walked towards the building, he saw a man looking around the cars at the parking area. It was a good idea, as the horde would still keep going and catch up to them at some point.

Taking off his Jacket, Yuri covered the bloodied kukri with his jacket, rolling it around the knife.

With that done, Yuri entered the facility.
As all hell broke loose, Yuri was standing next to his blue Focus holding his hand on the driver's door. He was confused and disoriented. How could he not have been? No one would expect that tomorrow and yesterday would be so different. Even if so the highway massacre was simply a glimpse of the days after today.
Having recollected his thoughts, Yuri began running towards signs of life as they were being rubbed out. On his way over the bridge he saw a man being attacked by "one of them". Yuri ripped the assailant from the man and banged him against the opposite car, now the "sick one" was gripping Yuri and they began wrestling. He was one tough sonofabitch, but the man Yuri helped returned the favor by bashing the guys skull with a tire iron. Shocked, Yuri looked at the man.
"Thanks." - The man said.
" Незачто." - Yuri replied in Russian.
Yuri noticed that the body had a Ghurka knife strapped on his leg and picked it up.
"Over the bridge. There is a rest station, I am heading there. You should too!"
What that man told Yuri probably saved his life that day. However, unfortunately, Yuri would not see that man ever again.
As he ran, Yuri was holding the kukri machete in a reverse grip. At one point another "one of them" attacked Yuri, however Lakeev was able to dodge the attacker while slicing his guts open with the kukri machete. Looking back, Yuri saw that the man did not even flinch. At that point he finally realized that "they" were actually reanimated corpses, perfect timing he thought. Standing there he looked into the walking copses dead eyes. After mumbling some swear words to himself, he decided to keep running.
He was close to the bridge. To his horror, the situation there far was worse than it was at the beginning. On the right side of the road there was a crushed man, a police officer. Running up to him Yuri looked for his duty gun and picked it up. It was a Smith & Wesson M&P9. Firing the gun at the dead he managed to create an opening to get past the large horde. When the gun ran out of bullets, Yuri casually threw it down onto the road.
He managed to get over the bridge successfully and was on his way to the rest stop.

I already claimed Lithuania, sorry, and I think the others may be as well... Though I'm not entirely sure. We need an updated map for sure. Quick BB! Use your map powers and draft us up one! XDAlso, while I initially claimed it, I'm always willing to negotiate and perhaps we can create some sort of history between our nations. Just PM me if you want to.

Well if thats the case, you can keep them. Exept you can't stop me from creating an independence army. We (Latvians) did it once, we would do it again.
