Name: Ereshk

Race: Human

Sex: Male

Class: Dark Mage

Gender Identity: Male

Age: 22

Appearance:

  • Height: 5'10

  • Weight:145 lbs

  • Hair: His shaggy black hair is wiry and coarse.

  • Eyes: Dark brown.

  • General: Between his pallid skin, scrawny frame, and slender fingers, it would appear Ereshk has never worked a day in his life. His hair is often unkempt, and the dark rings of insomnia plague his eyes.

Equipment:

  • A well-worn hooded traveler's cloak. There is a faded crest on the back of a raven in flight, with three feathers floating down. A motto is inscribed below in a foreign runic language.

  • An absolutely massive grimoire bound in dark leather. The cover and spine have an elaborate Celtic knot for a title. It is entirely written in the same runic language as the motto on his cloak. Ereshk has a leather pack specifically built to holster the massive tome while traveling.

  • Silver-framed glasses.

Personality: He is cheerful and generally quite amicable when talked to, though he does not usually initiate conversations on his own. He prefers quiet intellectual discussions over rowdy group parties.

Bio: Ereshk is a scholar and an avid student of magic. He has been apprenticed to a rather powerful sorcerer in Vinsenia ever since he was a child. As the final task of his apprenticeship, the scholar has been sent out into the world at large to discover a new aspect of magic that his master does not already possess. The crest on his cloak is the sigil of his master.

Likes/Dislikes: He likes tea, the scent of old parchment, and staring up at the stars on a clear night. He has an intense dislike for blood and gore, and prefers to avoid conflict at all if possible. Ereshk also dislikes horses, and has very little skill with riding one.

Strengths/Weakness: If a mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone, then Ereshk's mind may very well be the sharpest blade in the armory. He has a wide array of trivial facts stored away from his years of study, and his skill with magic is quite impressive. However, his scrawny frame is physically frail, and he simply does not have the constitution to weather blows in a fight. His spellbook is also easily the weight of a battleaxe and just as unwieldy, making him laughably slow compared to others.

Other: The sigil of his master might be known to anyone who has studied magic or the history of Vinsenia. I'm open to more private development of the master and his (or her!) order if it ties in to/might interfere with your plans, TentacleLord. Otherwise the master will just stay in the background. If we're picking stats, his Magic, Skill, and Resistance are above-average, while his HP, Defense, and Speed are below. His strength is also low, if we're keeping it separate from magic.
I could potentially do the whole GM thing, but I would definitely prefer a co-GM. I've played almost all of the english FE games except 9/10, so while I have a fairly decent grasp of how the setting usually works, I know next to nothing about the laguz.
Woo, we finally have an OOC! :D

Quick bump. OOC will by up either today or tomorrow, regardless if more people show interest or not.

Is that OOC happening any time soon?
Definitely interested!
Argh, it looks like I'll be without internet for pretty much all of next week (or this week, if it's already Sunday where you live). I do still want to be here, but I can understand if you would rather not have a character stuck in limbo (well, more than they already are) until June 1st.

Name: Zephias Cromwell

Species: Ghost

Gender: Male

Age: A little over 500. He's forgotten exactly how long ago he died, and he may or may not actually remember the current year. He appears to be in his late 30s.

Occupation: Librarian

Personality: He's a lover of inquisitive minds, and values the acquisition of knowledge above all else. Zephias is a flighty spirit, easily startled and easily distracted by anything new or unexpected. He has a tendency to be a bit of an airhead; randomly spacing out at times, and never quite being 'all there,' both mentally and physically.

Bio: Zephias Cromwell was a renaissance man in life, dabbling in as many fields of science as he could find back in his day. His particular favourites were alchemy and engineering, though his constant pursuit of knowledge had unfortunate consequences. After years of constant study and many pounds of rare, expensive ingredients, his grand panacea did indeed grant him eternal life; though not quite the kind he was expecting. One sip of his vile concoction was all it took to violently and permanently eject his spirit from his body, leaving him stuck between this world and the next as an incorporeal ghost.

Though he tried to continue his work from beyond the grave, his inability to interact with -and, indeed, to even be seen by- the physical world left him with very little to do. Zephias spent the next century or two wandering western Europe, haunting various libraries, universities, and private studies. In time he learned how to focus his energies to move physical objects and manifest a form others could see, but the mortals he met had a nasty tendency to fear and scorn the poor scholar.

Depressed and alone, the wandering spirit found his way to Gravetown, where the dead can finally make a life for themselves.

Stuff you often carry: As an incorporeal ghost, Zephias has a hard time carrying much of anything that isn't also phantasmal. When he bothers to manifest a physical form at all, Zephias tends to wear renaissance or Victorian-era clothing, often with a hint of steampunk. He always carries a ghastly grimoire with him wherever he goes, like it's a part of his person.

Type of magic, if any: He can possess inanimate objects to temporarily bring them to life, though I guess that's more of a ghost thing than a magic thing.

Anything else? There's nothing quite like the smell of freshly baked bread. Anything here is changeable if it messes with some established lore.
I'm interested.
