<Snipped quote by SiliconColt>

I'd list the problem as 'Not spontaneously creative.' It implies that if he's just caught without any prior preparation, he's at a significant disadvantage. He can draft up a song if given time, but put him on the spot and he struggles (I.E: If he were to go against a hip-hop vocalist in an impromptu battle, it'll be rather lopsided)

This makes a lot more sense. Since spontaneous battles are gunna be an issue for the character that gives me an idea. Students challenge each other to music competitions, the loser backs down, gets killed, or somewhere in between.

:o I bet the student council acts like a panel of judges during challenges, so they can end the competition before things get out of hand... or someone loses a hand.
SO "Strong Vocal Singer" is your HC and uh... "Not creative and inarticulate" is your trouble? I can see how those are gunna work in a music battle school and I think we're gunna have an awesome time with this coming character.

I also just subscribed to the thread because haha why didn't I in the first place.
Your Fate in Our Hands

How To Play Fate

The first step in playing fate is bringing together a group of people. I posted the link to the interest check on the chat after having a lot of people talk about a music battle school, so that's just barely scratching the surface of what we can do.

@SouffleGirl123
@Vesuvius00
@Leolycan

You three havn't played FATE Core to my knowledge so here's what we have to do as a group.

We are going to create our characters together and figure out what we want out of the setting as well as each others.

FIRST we need the High Concept of our characters. A High Concept is a one or two sentence statement that can sum up the character. Generally you can write one by answering this question, "what kind of character do I want to play?"

Example: "I wanna play an ace student who kills with a Triangle, literally." That's a high concept that anyone can take.

Now after a High Concept is the trouble. This is the flaw of a character.

Answer this, "What's wrong with this character?"

Keep in mind that a trouble isn't something they just solve with an hour of their time. A Trouble causes trouble which means that it can lead to drama. If your character has an issue with someone from their past, a trait of their personality that no one can stand, an addiction, etc. A trouble doesn't need to be crippling such as disability or inability to use an important skill.

Example: "No Rhythm." which in this rp could mean death.. depending on the school curriculum or could mean a setback in passing with high grades.

What the High Concept and Trouble are called is character Aspects. An Aspect is a short phrase describing something of a person, place, or thing. Once both HC and Trouble are written we can get to the next part.

Any questions?
Hearing her sensei talk made her rethink just who he was. Their first encounter was much less.. how would she describe her sensei... intimidating? She couldn't think of the right word so she would probably ask someone else what they thought. Then Masatake said something.. incredibly kind. Did that mean he forgave her for not trying anything? She had no idea but no was the time to act, maybe she'd be able to get his opinion on their sensei.

"Thanks, he do you wanna sit next to me at the restaurant?" Mikone asked, hoping he'd be ok with that. She wasn't sure if she'd have luck making friends out of her teammates.
I'm gunna be honest, I lost interest in this rp a few days ago. Count me out but you can keep Zakeo if you want to.
It has been 7 days since my post. No one has posted since then and so I will close this rp to be rebooted later.

@ryuzaki I will remember you when that day comes.
@Sigil I hope you will also consider that an opportunity to reintroduce cricket who was interesting character to read.

I'll see you all around. Enjoy the rest of your time on Roleplayer guild.
One immediate question. Can a persons voice be considered a weapon? Though not an instrument per say, it is a method of conveying a melody/orchestrating a song. If not the voice itself, then a microphone perhaps?

This is the exact kind of questions that should be asked in the ooc. And the asnwer is actually up to the other two players. How could a voice be used as a weapon and in what way would it do it?

I think it could if you have a special tool that either amplifies your voice akin to black canary OR you have a magic ability maybe.

The warrior would soon move from the area near the nest to a safer location closer to the massive trunk of the tree. Looking around in this area he would see a lot of vines everywhere. There was a clear route to his left but in front of him he could see the wind gently push the vines that looked like they were secure but might not have been. What would the warrior do, go the safe way or find out what's on the other side of those vines?
Colt, ye bastard! Stop making me join things that you create! I'm not some mindless puppet for you to lure into your dark machinations!

... Interested though.

I have all the machinations. Also, i think its just down to you and me in the FF rp. :P that'll make the who "GM of thirty rps" really simple.

ANYWAY this a good number of people to have. :) time for the fun to begin. I'll have an ooc up soon where I wanna see you all talk about the things you want from a music school of battle.
"Woah woah, I don't know shit about keyblades. Maybe Leon knows. You'll have to find him if you want an answer to those questions. Now about your world fallen... I thought the Heartless were sealed by Sora a long time ago. Ain't been much to worry 'bout around here. I'm Cid by the way."

He looked over to the third district.

"Except we do get one or two around town. Little rats in a maze. We keep that door there locked, but since ya'l got keyblades you can open it yourselves. Just point at that big ole hole. That's what Sora did anyway, who knows what kinda magic he used to seal it."

Everyone could clearly see the large keywhole beside the third district. It appeared to take a large key of some kind, but if anyone were to actually put it in there and turn, they'd realize that their key wasn't the correct one. Yet still Cid told them all they had to do was point at it.

(ooc: Here's one of the basic keyblade abilities which you all can utilize. The only trick to is is trusting your keyblade. Since it only takes one of you to do it, the first one to post should do the honor then the rest of you can pour into the third district like gravy over biscuits. In my next post I'll tell you exactly what you heard. )
