The offer of power was tempting, but Markus had seen someone he knew let the darkness in, and he certainly hadn't seemed in control. Maybe some day, but today that dark portal in the sky only looked like the black hole he had narrowly avoided back in his own world. The black hole, with its keyhole. Markus thought back to that, when he had unlocked it. That man, Leon Nero had called him, said that his keyblade could unseal any lock.

"Nero," Markus called across to him, "Akira. All of you, do as I do," he commanded, as he lifted his keyblade to point at the heart. He imagined it as the keyhole, and willed his keyblade to emit that same beam of light. He hoped the others would heed his orders, as he didn't think he had enough power on his own.

Striking the sphere around the Heart, Akira's keyblade held it steady while the arm and hand of the heartless tried to pull it with fervor. Without knowing it, Markus opened a direct line from his heart to the captured one. Emotion poured from that Heart, pushing anger, pain, despair, sadness, and fear but also one more emotion far stronger than the others. Markus felt the loneliness inside that heart, a chasm of emptiness reserved for the void. Words would come to his mind. Why? was the most common, the context impossible to tell. This Heart questioned its self, but how could Markus even answer?

Asha quickly learns that that her usual strategy is useless on the huge armour since it is consist of separate pieces. Not only that, something is interfering with with her magic. She feels drained already although back on cocoon, Asha can manage to fight far longer than this. "Something is definite not right." says Asha under her breath. she looks around. The rest of the keyblade wielders seem not be as badly affect like her.

But the huge armour started to float above them. A voice gave a speech about the darkness, how keyblade wielder are cursed and blessed but can only bring despair and destruction to everyone they meet. This struck a chord in Asha's heart. From her world of cocoon, She heard of the l'cie, beings blessed with great power by the fal'cie(gods) but have a cursed fate worse than death. If a l'cie fails his/her mission, they turn into a cie'th, a mindless monster and so bringing destruction to everthing around them. But Asha also heard of lightning and her friends whom all become l'cie. But they made the choice to rebel against the fate set in front of them. They fought together against the fal'cie. They won in the end. Though hope and unity, they were able to overcome the toughest of foes. Asha givs a tear and a smile. Asha decided to rebel as well.

"You can take your damn offer and bugger off. I do not need your power of the darkness. All we need to defeat you is hope and unity. I reject your fate for me. I am the only one who can decide what my fate entails."

She heard one of the keyblade wielders command her to do as he does. She does what she is instructed.

The keyblade emitted light with Markus's. Her heart was connected and she would feel those same emotions, and the loneliness most of all. The depth of this Heart's despair would remind her further of her home world and those cursed by the Fal'Cie. However, the Heartless had a greater influence over all the sky. In every world they would show up one day, her world had merely avoided them until recently. She could at least empathize with that captured Heart.

Then something appeared to her mind as well, Markus's Heart was connected too. They would sense each other there, as if standing beside each other in the void of that Heart.

Leon could only watch as the keybladers tried to free that Heart. He knew there was nothing he could do but watch and wait. In many ways he felt powerless, as evident on his irritated face. Yet there was calmness. He trusted these children to free that heart.

Fion went quite for a minute and began to think as the voice sounded familiar for some reason and he felt like the voice was just trying to trick them into doing something stupid. The keyblade couldn't be the power of darkness could it? It was light was it not it destroys heartless after all.

<Snipped quote>

Fion decided even though everyone clearly wanted to unlock it at the same time it could cause problems as the mysterious voice just said unlocking this is the first step to mastery of darkness meaning that it might do something unexpected and not something they'd want in the end.

<Snipped quote>

Fion then aimed at the hand holding the heart and focused the keyblade at it and shot a beam of light towards it similar to how they opened the door to the third district. maybe just maybe making the dark hand lose it's grip on the heart might do something.

Inside of Fion's heart the soundless voice spoke again.

The Keyblade's power is not light. Nor is the Keyblade's power darkness. It exists in between, following those with the strongest hearts and nothing less.

Fion joined the others, sensing them and the capture heart's emotions. However, Asha and Markus would feel less of that despair. It seemed that the more people who linked their heart directly, the less toil the capture heart contained, as if they siphoned it.

"I don't know what the voice meant," Markus grunted, straining at his keyblade, "But if the darkness wants this heart, I will keep it from it."

Markus could feel Asha and Fion, however only Markus was perceptive of something happening inside of Fion's heart. He knew someone was speaking to Fion but didn't know the words. Asha would remain unaware of the conversation at all.

Nero winced slightly in anticipation, perparing himself for the attack launched his way. Clenching his teeth and closing his eyes, he had prepared for the worst, but when that never came, he slowly opened his eyes to see the figure of Leon before him. As the dark cloud began to disperse around the swordsman, Nero gave a relieved sigh as he stood.

"Thanks, Leon." His remark sincere as he made his way to stand beside the warrior, eyeing over the heartless as he began to steel himself for the oncoming battle... Yet as the Heartless began to change to it's new daunting visage, Nero could only shudder as he gripped his keyblade tighter, "What the world is that?" As he attempted to step forward, Leon blocked his path, causing the boy to narrow his eyes at his mentor, but abide by his command. Only when the heart was exposed, did Nero full grasp the situation. This truly was someone's heart... The heart of a kid as the voice had put it just moments before. As the voice began to speak upon the darkness, he noticed Leon's strike had no effect... But even that didn't garner his full attention. His eyes now lingered upon his keyblade.

"... This? This is what calls the heartless? Were Akira and I the reason that the heartless came to our world? Why so many had to suffer at their hands," Though merely speculation, the thought haunted the boy, gripping onto his keyblade with a renewed mix of fear and hatred for the device, "Darkness lingers in all hearts, I know... But can it truly be used to stop another world from being lost." It was then he noticed his allies all attempting to free the heart, but still his thoughts were clouded.

"Maybe mastering the darkness is the way... If it'll keep any more people from suffering..." Idly, he'd begin making his way forward, attempting to bypass Leon as he now held his keyblade aloft at his side.

Nero's Keyblade connected with the others, and he would feel far less than the others. However, the loneliness inside of that Heart was still apparent. He could sense those who were connected, this Heart felt like a room now, instead of a void. The walls of this room were the walls of the heart. However, it was expansive still, reaching outwards without the visual range to see any one wall.

Akira gripped the handle of his keyblade tighter listening to the voice.
"No....No I won't let Darkness take anyone else!" Akira said flourishing his keyblade and aiming it at the heart focusing all of his desire to free the heart from the darkness and channeling it through the weapon. It manifested in the form of the white beam of light described by the computers back on Hollow Bastion.

The beam of light connected with the heart, the room now smaller. The keyblade wielders would realize that this heart was filling with their emotions, the loneliness had nearly vanished and the other emotions were far too weak for Akira to even notice. The walls were almost in view, obscured by the darkness remaining in the Heart.

As Niinii defeated some of the smaller Heartless, something inside him swelled, he had no idea what this feeling was, it was if fargone memories had seeped back into his mind, memories of hearts flying up to the air and suddenly vanishing into nothing. But to his horror these memories seemed to be repeating right before his eyes with the dispersing reminds of the heartless letting loose Hearts and too like his memories vanished.

What is the meaning of this? Has the Heartless been taking these hearts from people they kill? Has he been destroying the Hearts the Heartless has been taking by defending himself? Niinii silently stood in fear looking at the Keyblade in hand. Is the Keyblade responsible somehow?

But his scary thoughts were interrupted by the voice coming out of the armor Heartless, Niinii listened in horror as it spoke. Of being chosen for their role to fight the Heartless but they caused Darkness everywhere they go. Was. Was he why everyone and everything he loved was ripped apart and plunged into darkness? Did he destroy his home? Is he only meant to spread darkness?
Niinii was being overwhelmed with guilt, his eyes started to swell with tears and it started to fall down his cheeks, he tried to wipe them away with his arm but it only made his tears fall harder and made his sleeve wetter.

But his tears slowed when he heard several of the group speak up, wishing to deny the Darkness from getting to this heart, but one of them wondered if Darkness was the right away. No. You can't fix something by using what broke the thing in the first place. But suddenly as a large dark hand grasped at the Heart. Something inside Niinii sparked, Niinii suddenly ran past the group and used his heighten jump to jump up to the hand and held on tight to the hand while swinging his Keyblade madly and furiously at the hand until either the Heartless let go, or he be taken to the other side with the Heart where he will protect the Heart no matter what.

He will not be used by Darkness.

His strikes beat the hand away, harming it -proved by its weakening grip. It seemed Niinii would not connect with those who's hearts were linked. But his influence would clear away some of the darkness inside that Heart.

Those connected could see the walls of the heart, a large room big enough to fit the third district. But a haze remained and figures appeared in the darkness. Light didn't shine in this place, instead those who were inside illuminated it with their hearts' strength.

As Tera finished her quick scan she closed her eyes. Inside her head, her brain archived what she'd seen and processed as hard data, similar to recording a video onto a memory card.

The process took only a second or two and her eyes shot back open as her companions fought the monsters. Suddenly the huge armoured thing began dissolving, even as her companions destroyed the smaller cannon things behind it. As she watched hearts slowly rise into the sky, the huge monster broke down, its parts dissolving into darkness. From the smoke appeared a large heart, surrounded by smoke and pierced by thorns. Leon fought it to no effect, but the mysterious, dark voice bade them to give in to the darkness?

She'd seen firsthand the effects of that dark force when her world was devoured by it. And she would not let that control her, much less use it for her own ends.

"Accept the darkness..."

Tera gripped her Keyblade tighter.

"No. Never in a thousand cycles. I saw my world die by the darkness. I won't let it control me."

She nodded and walked forward to where her companions were. She passed Nero, but heard him muttering, doubting the Light. Tera stopped.

"Listen, uh, sir. Put it behind you. These keyblades were given to us by the light. If it attracts darkness then so be it. We just have to fight it every step of the way."

That said she joined Markus, Asha and Fion, standing by their sides as she too raised her key up at the shrouded heart. A beam of light burst forth from its tip and shot straight towards the heart. As she held her key steady, she saw Akira join the lineup, and the cute moogle Nii leaped onto the hand to give it a deserving beatdown.

Perhaps they could save this child's life after all.

When Tera joined inside the Haze seemed barely a problem at all. Figures were people locked in a single moment of time. At the center of this room was a young boy standing still, looking down at his hand which held a toy robot. As the keyblade wielders looked closer they would see something begin to glow from that young boy. Another light rose out from the young man, illuminating the room.

Color was painted across the room, showing the world of Radiant Garden. They were in the court yard and this young boy was enjoying a festival. Behind him was a stand were the prizes were toys and this young one had won something for himself. However, when they noticed the shadow behind him, they realized it didn't belong to him for its shape was that of a monster.

However, Niinii's continued attacks on the arm loosened the captured Heart. The room moved, as if time unpaused.

They could see the young boy walk through the festival with the fake shadow underneath him.

It jumped out, a small creature no bigger than the boy. Those who knew the Heartless would understand this was among the weakest of heartless, a shadow.

Then just before the Heartless could scratch the boy, time froze again.

"To save this Heart is to accept the darkness into one's body. For it is not that this mere Shadow only stole this boy's heart but that this heart is one with the darkness. It has been plunged deep into the abyss and lost all of its bonds yet here you are connected to this Heart, forging your own Bonds with it.

If you wish to save this Heart then you must also purge the darkness from it.

Will you master the darkness and command it to flee or will you try to remove it by force?

Answer carefully with your actions, children, before the darkness manifests.

The Keyblade Wielders stood around the boy. He remained frozen however, the shadow seemed to move. Its claw pulled back before it attacked. Looking around it could see the keyblade wielders surrounding it on all sides.

It wasn't attacking, only waiting for them to act.

[This is a critical moment in which your attempts must be short. I have a lot going on with these scene. You don't want to miss a single part of it! Markus, Asha, Fion, Nero, Akira, and Tera will undergo something that Niinii will just have to do on another occasion ;) ]

On the outside, Niinii's strikes were brutal. The Arm seemed to be leaking darkness but its grip was still there. Noticing his surroundings begin to fall down, he could see the portal above him come closer. It was actually him who was moving, and it was toward the portal!

Leon tried to assist Niinii, instructing him to hit the fingers instead of the arm.
I thought I counted 6 unique posts... o-o oh I counted myself. heh oops!

o-o im sorry for forgetting you in the count @DJAtomika.

I'm so glad this is a okay everyone post before the gm type of game and not one with a post order

I've never gotten post order to work, nor has it ever been effective for posting. Whomever posts first acts first and that's just how I roll with it. In some cases that may be impossible then posting speed won't matter. But that usually happens when people are talking to each other in the middle of combat and there's still the enemy in front of them.

In those cases we go anime mode, where dialogue becomes more important than realism of time. However as weird as that may seem, it is an effective solution.

Also don't forget, I have a 2 day rule in effect. Those who do not post within 2 days of my previous post are skipped. I usually don't kill them unless they were attacked by a bad guy; however, its easier to put someone out cold than kill them in a story. o-o It also makes sense too since people may just be busy, depressed, or desire a break from the internet. All of those things have happened to me, where I've just upped and abandoned an rp or it dies underneath me when someone else falls out.

Collaborative forum roleplaying is the most difficult to maintain as there's no controlling participants, only the evolution of the process across the web. That evolution would be enticing role players to stick to one place long enough to tell a story. This filters the Gems from the Pebbles in terms of role players... no wait maybe I should say the polished from unpolished. People change overnight and it can be difficult to say what they intend to do. However, trust is the most valuable resource between humans. I would trust you all to continue this role play and so I continue to write the story for you. :)

Oh here I am going off on a long tangent. Hehe, you should expect your enemies to have long monologues simply because that's how I am.

Edit: oh AA posted before DJA that means I can post soon.
Since you all are probably clever, this is clearly a trap. :) buts its great to see how you still remain in character nonetheless.

:) im almost done with my notes so i may be able to post after everyone else has instead of waiting longer.

Edit: i just checked and its our dear niinii who needs to post. But ill be patient since AA was the last post in the previous round.

That hand is part of a darkside.
@SiliconColtcan not wait for the villain. :P

:o here's where things get interesting.
((I don't need a map, but it would be nice to have a description of how they are laid out.))

Not safe seemed like an understatement, but Markus had spent enough time on the receiving end of cannons not to be frightened. He rushed in between salvos of the firework-like shots and struck out with his keyblade, stretching his arm forward as he took a step in perfect form.

That perfect form saved him from a few explosions beside his feet. These heartless had poor aim and reckless behavior. Any real captain would command the cannons with refined accuracy. At least, that's the impression Markus would get from them. Out of luck on heartless was struck by his keyblade, knocking it back then bursting apart. As powerful as fireworks were, they were weak.

Asha walks through the door and sees all of the heartless swarming a lone swordsman. She thinks to herself " Here we off again." She takes a battle stance and activates her shaboteur set. Asha targets the suit of armour since it seems to be the toughest opponent. She casts deshell, deprotect and imperil on the huge suit of armour in an attempt to weaken it for the others to inflict more damage to it.

Asha quickly learns that her spells only affected parts of the body. When deshell activated it hit an arm. When deprotected activated it hit a leg. Imperil on the other hand struck the last arm. Now beginning to understand, that suit of armor wasn't just one unified creature, it was five independent parts. She was already helping as she would back at home, however, something was off. She would notice that expending this much magic was far more draining. To be precise, her saboteur set seemed to lack its former ease of use with chain casting spells. Taking it one at a time would be easier and less draining.

As Nero made his way through the door, his stance would be loose and relaxed. Though not completely unafraid, any sort of unnecessary tension in his muscles would only slow down his reactions. At least- that's what Yuffie taught him back on Hollow Bastion. As the visage of the heartless came into view, that's all Nero could think of was his former home, gripping the hilt of his keyblade tighter as that anger he held inside him began to bubble over. Yet, another vision would soon change his demeanor, as his eyes set on a familiar form.

"Leon!" In a rush of excitement, he began rushing towards one of his heros. Having grown up on the same world as the gunsword-wielding man, Nero had idolized Leon for his strength and his resolve to continue fighting. How they both came to be upon this world would merely be a question in the back of Nero's mind, more concerned now on just getting to the man. It was then he noticed the bigger heartless, unsure of the name- though taking not it was well armored and seemed to be an amalgamation of different pieces all separate and hovering about a central form.

Though Leon had ordered him to fall back, Nero could just leave him alone, "I'll take out one of the arms!" Taking a brief moment to turn his head to the others, "If you can, take out the ranged ones. The less there are, the less we have to worry about." With his attention turned back to the heartless, Nero would rush of, leaping into the air as his blade struck out at the same arm that Leon had parried not a moment before.

"Nero?" Leon could see him and seemed a bit surprised. "Survived the fall of Radiant Garden? Nero! A Keyblade?" The warrior was surprised to see the keyblade in Nero's hands. However his expression was short, only visible to those observing him.

Bringing his attention back to the Guard Armor, Leon looked sure that this encounter with the heartless would go well. Confidence in his eyes glowed with energy.

The boy's attack on the arm struck head one. However, the imperil status wasn't going to help him. But Nero did assure Asha that this enemy was in fact in separate parts.

Akira watched the others begin their fight with a grin. He noticed the gunblade and knew Leon the moment they came into view now seeing that Nero was taking off into the fray and ignoring his order only made him chuckle and head in after him. He moved and stood next to Nero as he gave the idea of taking out the ranged targets.
"Not a chance I'll leave that to the magicians for now." he said as he leapt into the air aiming for the other arm.

Striking the other arm, Akira's attack threw it off balance. Both arms now floating, the legs and main body were left to strike.

The deprotected leg flung itself at Nero but Leon leapt infront of him, countering the attack and obliterating the piece of the heartless. The black smog simply vanished as if an illusion.

"Another keyblade... you too Akira?" The warrior held his weapon high, but looked behind him to see the others.

Starting and drawing a panicked breath as she saw a fight against those monsters unfold, Tera backed away slowly, her hand pulling her data disk off her back. It flashed into her Keyblade as she took in the frankly horrifying sight ahead of her. The man with the gunblade, named Leon judging from the reaction of a young man that just ran by her, was battling a huge, dark armoured hulk that had backup in the form of smaller Heartless that fired fireworks out their mouths! She'd never seen such things in her life, even with the Light Cycles and the Disk Arena.

She didn't know how to fight. But her newfound companions did.

And the best thing she did was learn.

Tera would hang back, observing the fighters in play as they fought. Her keen eyes would focus on Leon, Markus and Nero in particular, each and every move they made being analysed, recorded and stored within her memory for use. Every action, every parry, counter swing, attack, dodge, analysed and stored, just like a computer would.

She was an ISO, after all. A computer was at the heart of her very being.

Her grip on her Keyblade tightened. A few more minutes and she'd be ready, hopefully.

Simply observing she noted a few details on her own. This heartless armor was five pieces with one already defeated. Because the attacks of Nero and Akira were unsuccessful in shattering the hands it was assumed the keyblade alone could not defeat it. When she saw Leon's counter attack there were considerable factors, the first being that Leon was far stronger than her new companions. The second was Asha's spell. Heartless were vulnerable to maigc which had to be analyzed at another time. For now she could record Leon's response time and strength, Nero's and Akira's eagerness to jump into the fray, and how their attacks could be used to defend themselves from the guard armor. However, it seems to be only Leon who is defending against the attacks. Tera would be wise to assume this enemy might be a bit much for her keyblade wielder companions.

Something inside of her would click.

"Guardian. To take the blow for an ally who is attacked. Response time is the first prerequisite of this ability. The second being the obligation to take harm for another person thereby protecting them. Understanding that she couldn't yet use this ability, Tera knew she needed a higher response time and an obligation to protect an ally.

Something else inside of Tera clicked. Using Observation drained her energy, which wasn't the same as when she used it in the Grid. She could assume this was because of her present location in another world, but she was open to new hypotheses.

Fion wasn't quite sure how to respond seeing as everyone was rushing in without a thought of the danger did they even notice the armours parts aren't even attached chances are it could move it parts around freely the only way to beat it properly was likely to focus on the head and main body as they looked attached.

Fion wasn't really in the mood to get involved with the large fight everyone was involved in or going in from the front would be a poor decision at any rate it'd probably be best to just double back and get the jump on his enemies. so he ran into the second district and quickly found a side path leading to the back of the third distract and quickly entered. Fion then found himself near a ledge looking down at all the enemies he then decided while the others were distracting it he'd jump slash the head of the armour enemy.

Being very intuitive Fion's thought was assured when Leon destroyed a leg. It seemed he knew what he was doing at least. When he left the area it was easy to discover an alternative route. However, understanding the risk of leaving a battle Fion would not yet understand the consequences of being alone in a world where the Heartless attack on impulse.

That consequence pending, getting to the ledge then leaping down to strike the head directly proved to be very difficult. The arms swung up, protecting the heartless and preventing Fion's Keyblade from reaching its face. This would no doubt put him in a predicament, the other arm reached for him, but flames of magic washed over that oncoming hand, destroying it.

Fion would land on his feet with ease. Then something inside of him spoke. Without an audible sound the voice simple said, "Clever but I'm watching this unfold myself." Fion would not yet understand where this voice came from. But judging by the expression of the others, he was the only one to "hear" it. Perhaps freaked out, an attempt to say what just happened would be impossible for him. Fion would not be able to explain this soundless voice, as if by magic his own voice was unable.

Niinii was taken aback by the large amounts of Heartless in the district and the single man holding them off, a Hume with a strange but fascinating weapon that's in the shape of a sword with odd parts of a gun. But he will have to study the seemingly impractical weapon later once the Heartless has been dealt with. From what the Moogle can gather that several of the Humes has went up ahead and started their assault on the biggestest of the heartless the one cloaked in purple armor and the arms and legs flying around haphazardly and several smaller turrets are aiming their sights at the group. Niinii was nervous, this was the first time he will fight them head on, without fear backing him up, he was standing next to the blond hume who held her Keyblade and seemed to be studying the group it was clear in the way she looked over everybody, it was something the Moogle was good at. "Huh... Blonde Hume whose name I didn't catches, if you need help just yell out to me and I will run back to you and help, It looks like we're both new to this, Kupo." Niinii spoke up to Tera, in a supportive tone with a wide smile on his face to hide his worries.

Niinii suddenly jumped towards one of the turrets shaped heartless and when he was in range he started to smack one of them repeatedly with his short keyblade, while his hits are weak, he makes up for in amounts of hits he can get in. hopefully he doesn't hit by one of the Turrets rockets he wouldn't be able to survive too many hits.

The flurry of strikes caused the heartless cannons to break apart. With the joint effort of markus those two were able to vanquish the smaller ones. However the moogle would feel something in his chest. There was something forming there, intangible and obviously not painful, but like a memory it felt old. As if knowing it all along, Niinii would see a quick image. Hearts flew into the sky, disappearing into the air.

And that too was happening in front of him. The cannon heartless exploded into hearts, however, in this memory they were not cannons but instead mere shadows. Unable to see what caused them to fall apart, Niinii would simply feel as if the keyblade was responsible.

Tera also noticed this when Markus and Niinii broke apart the cannon heartless. Leon's blade didn't cause a release of any hearts but with those who wielded the keyblade they did. A correlation was there, however, causation was not.

The guard armor rose a bit higher from the keybladers and warrior. Its arm and leg remained near the party however, swinging around and spinning in various patterns. Leon was easily able to strike them, countering and causing them to break apart.

It seemed Nero and Akira wouldn't be able to break any heartless apart.

"I doubt that this is a normal Guard Armor. It isn't attacking us yet." Leon said. "Heartless are reckless, mindlessly attacking. This is especially true if its enemy has a keyblade. But with seven of you that heartless shouldn't be able to ignore its instinct to attack." Leon's assessment would be vital later, those who listened would realize that their enemy wasn't going to fall as easily as the cannons.

"I congratulate you children." A voice said, coming from the Guard Armor.

Lean got in front of Nero and Akira. With an arm stretched out he motioned for them to back away. However, his eyes were locked onto the heartless floating above. This wasn't normal in any way, fitting no description of a mindless attacker.

"Children chosen by the keyblade. Why is it that they are always so young?" The voice was a man's. He was perhaps Leon's age but the deep tone and slow speaking held confidence. Fion would recognize the voice, even though he didn't hear its sound until now.

"Innocence? No. Wielders of the Keyblade are far from that." The Guard armor burst with a strong aura. Black mist flowed from its body, rising into the air like smoke and flames.

"Potential? No. Countless wielders were nothing but fools." The heartless's head and body vibrated, then a crease appeared like the strings of a bow on a gift box. It separated into four parts, the top parts tipping over. Inside it exposed a floating heart surrounded by a cloud of darkness gripping it with long fingers and piercing it with sharp nails.

"It is the strength of their Heart. Why else would the Heartless fear the wielders yet crave their hearts despite the obvious danger?" The Heartless's former body burst as it did with the legs and arms. The only remaining part was the black aura of fire and the heart within its control.

"Blessed are those who are cursed by the Keyblade. You will have the strength to fight the heartless but you will have the attention of the darkness. This is the Heart of a strong child who would have lived an adventurous life had it not been for the fall of his world."

The Heart flew higher into the air, spinning as if the most valuable item in a shop.

"Should you visit a world, you endanger those who live there. If all you wish is peace and safety for those people then there is nothing you can do but despair. You are a beacon to the heartless, harbingers of destruction to these worlds. However..."

The heart dropped back down to the ground, causing a mist of darkness to spread out around it.

"If you master the darkness in your heart then you control the darkness."

Leon readied his weapon, holding it above his head. A strong wave of magic burst from it, making the blade even longer and also shining.

"Come closer wielders of the Keyblade. Accept the darkness into your body. With it you will have new potential and new power."

Leon's weapon came down in a single slice, striking the heart head on.

Fire and sparks of light exploded around the heart. It still spun, however it was within a sphere of darkness that protected it. Leon wasn't able to free the heart from the darkness.

"By unlocking this heart you will save this child from eternal despair. Doing so is the first step in mastering the darkness."

"Don't let him lie to you! The darkness is nothing you should play with. It is..." Leon's weapon bounced off the sphere. His strength could not win the battle. "It is dangerous to everyone. No one can master it, only suppress it so it can't control them. Don't think that you can't save this heart though. The keyblade can unseal any lock, this one is no different."

"The offer does stands, but soon enough this heart will fall back into darkness. It is your only chance to save it, children."

The spinning stopped but the sphere around it moved, pulling it upward into the sky. Above it an oval shape appeared, what seemed like a hole in the sky. It too had flames of darkness and smoke spewing from the center. It was only a matter of time before it would enter the horrizon of the void.

Then a large hand reached from the portal, bigger than Leon's blade. Its fingers wrapped around the Heart, squeezing it like a water balloon.

[What will you do?]

No problem! Although, can you really trust anyone at all? *raises eyebrow*

o.o .... that's a good point. I think i'll use that for character development.

Oooooh, I'm very tempted to say it was during that time with Grom. Make it even a bigger mess! :'D

actaully lets make it earlier, the way things look, i need a trustable someone to watch my back.

o-0 hmm? Wait... are you talking about what just happened with grom or like... a long time ago? Cause :that sounds fun :D
I don't think there's anything wrong with the rubric itself. Just that the rubric was applied a little early.

Would you like a regrade post fight?

@SiliconColt Are we going to split into teams after the current boss fight? I am wondering what are your plans?

I agree with the rubric and thanks for the compliments. I also am curious can if our characters go to twilight town can they go to the world that never was through it seeing as there's the dark portal in Ansems mansion and all.

I'm still doing my Open World concept campaign across my rps. So the choice to split up is in your hands, I'll simply supply the means of doing it in the story.

With a party member from twilight town that means that world was taken by the heartless, so going there will be a very difficult excursion which you're not really prepared for. As for the world that never was... you can look for it but there's no guarantee you'll find it. ;)

edit: posting tonight, showing you the villain :)
