Beryl Harken
"I can pair up with anyone." Came the soft interjection from Beryl's corner of the transport. "And I have some experience in stealth operations. My semblance makes me uniquely suited to avoiding patrols and taking out guards silently."
She looked around at the other members of the team. At first glance they looked like a powder keg waiting to explode. Beryl could tell it was far from the case. Gratia's harsh comments were all aimed at making sure that nobody died.
"What if we left Napoli outside to provide sniper support? He should be able to fire through windows and thins walls."

That looks a lot less like "I'm done with the game." and more "Please kick my teammates into doing something."
Because people actually started interacting.

What does this mean for people who did not get their ranks? I'm curious about what Haruka was placed at and it's the sort of thing that would be helpful to know for character interaction.

If her semblance had the capacity to do so, Beryl's balls of water would have started boiling. As it was they were simply tossed back into the bathroom as the faunus stood up. It did not matter that she had never met Bianca, she was a fellow student at Haven. More then that she was a friend of Beryl's friends. The fact that kidnapping was something that she hated only fed fuel to the flames of her soul.
Without a word she moved to buckle Stream to her waist and grab her go-bag. It held everything she might need on a trip like this. Once that was done she followed Napoli out of the dorm and to the airdocks. The sooner they could get off the ground the sooner they could rescue the former member of VGNB.
And tear those scum limb from limb while we are at it.

By the metric of this contest at least half the villains of the Metal Gear franchise are not actual villains.

Beryl had been in the bathroom when Gratia found the letter from her former teammate. The otter faunus knew that there was a good chance of being late at this point but her tail fur was just being so...frustrating. Somewhere in there one of the hairs had settled in wrong and in was driving her crazy.
Her attention was diverted elsewhere when she felt Gratia's semblance activate and fill the entire dorm.
The door to the bathroom slammed open and Beryl rolled out, landing in a combat crouch. A ball of water hovered in each hand as she glanced around the room for whatever it had been that set the aura vampire off.
Aaaaaaand nothing.
"Whats wrong?"
