Right… so… I can be a Husk, get caught, and receive a soul? (Didn't intend to get caught of course, or did I?)
I think I get what you are saying, But I guess I also didn't really make myself clear; What I really wanted to know was whether, if my character was a Husk, would s/he have to start as soulless and get caught, or can s/he have already been caught, and is now living as a survivor. Better phrasing?

Just cause you said;

The more technologically inclined among the survivors developed a system for making, and introducing, man-made souls into husks instead of killing them, albeit untested due to a lack of husks nearby.

That's where we start. A group of survivors, each with their own reasons, create several experimental souls, and go out to hijack some husks. They then, upon successful hijacking of husks, infuse the husks with the souls. The new souls work in the husks, and though some have strange faults and are unstable, they have a soul (or two) each.

Which makes me think that there are no previous infused Husks, meaning that s/he'd have to be caught and infused first.
We could just say, unless anyone protests, that there was dinner, and everyone pretty much just chatted about random nonessential stuff, or just stuffed their face if that's how they roll.

I kinda feel guilty asking you to change your post, so, no, you don't have to change it if we say we had dinner, it also might move things forward, but ultimately it ain't my decision. :)
You do realize that after the sorting comes dinner, then tour of the school, right? Or… are we just skipping dinner?

We could just say that we had dinner? …… I dunno.
Husks must be infused with souls, otherwise they are not husks.

Huh?????? Care to elaborate?
(Please?!)
Yay! :) Okay; suddenly curious, how long has it been since the world got desertified? I kinda need to know so I can work out a bio. Also if you're letting us be Husks, can they start with a soul, or do they have to be Uhhhhh………… what's that word?? ……… weellll…… caught and infused?

Oh and, because I was talking to someone and they wanted to know where all the water went, (from the rain in back-story thingie,) It went to the Oasis' as the start of their water supply. Probably. Or it just randomly evaporated for no good reason at all, just so it could have rained and then turned the world into a barren wasteland.
It had not been too much of a surprise when the purple haired girl had up and disappeared, making her way up to the top of a building. Ren had watched her go, marveling at the speed and agility the girl had displayed, but losing interest as soon as the girl reached the top of the building. She and Seth had watched the proceedings, chatting silently to each other, paying attention, but only barely, but were brought back to reality when Yoshino had used her ice-filled voice to tell them, in no uncertain terms, to go to school. Seth and Ren complied, tails and ears tucked low, both with one arm around the others waist. They hadn't got far when the purple haired girl appeared again, facing off to Yoshino and accusing her of bullying them lot. She looked so fierce, like an angry cat, but also a little …confused? Or was that embarrassed? She's pretty. Ren noted, seeing the girl properly. Oi! Seth replied slightly sulkily, that's what I'm supposed to say! Ren just flashed him a grin, she knew all to well that Seth was jealous, jealous that Ren could give her attention to someone else, it was how she often felt, but she just grinned, much like a Cheshire cat, a very accurate description; considering her cat ears, still hidden, for the most part, under a hood, and her fairly obvious tail, lashing softly.

Seth was considering whether it was worthwhile to step forward and talk, having a vague understanding of the sort of apathy Yoshino seemed to show. But Ren flicked him with her tail, Step in if need be, but you don't have to…… But she realized it was worthless, Seth had smelled a fight brewing, and while to start with he would help, if things got rough, there was no way Ren could stop him from throwing his weight around in the fray.
Yo, I'm gonna post, soon, ish, …… weeellll anyway…… feel free to set off something random from the big red warning-ed lever Seth flicked, I have no idea what it did, I just reeallly had an urge to make him flick a big red, possibly destructive, lever. :)
Ahh…… sorry, I'm pulling utter brain fuzz at the moment, as in; I am struggling to focus on anything, also I am going to have to start school work again, (AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!) So yeah, I will try to post as soon as I can. Sorry.
Ja…… I agree, actually. See, I just typed it up in word and then copied-pasted it over, without really bothering to try read it like that.

So…………fixed, sorta.

Better? Worse? Just plain odd?
