Character SheetCallsign: MOPS 1
Real Name: Sylvia “Strato” Häyhä
Age: 25
Gender: Female
Nationality: Finnish/Swedish
Powers: N/A…. Yet
Skills and Equipment:-Handgun Training. She’s been trained with handguns, not much else to say about it. She uses the Pistol 88B.
-SMG/PDW Training, she has been trained to use SMG’s and PDW’s. If she is somehow out of her plane, she’ll have an MP7 she requested personally.
-Marksmanship Training with long rifles, the training is light. However, marksmanship appears to be in her blood, and she has always proven to be a capable shooter.
-Combat Training, although her training was rather light, due to circumstances, such as her plane or transport being shot down, she’s been ‘field trained’ by various special forces teams. Over the course of her career of crashing, she’s been honored as an honorary member in the Swedish SOG, the Australian SASR, and the German KSK.
-Knife Training, she’s been trained to use a knife, really can’t get simpler than this. She uses the F1 Pilot Survival Knife.
-Survival Training, because she’s a pilot and in the military, she’s had survival training. She’ll have a survival kit with her, containing things such as tools, fire starters, rope, bandages, compasses, rations, etc.
-Fighter/Drone/AEW&C Pilot, she’s a certified Fighter Pilot, Drone Pilot and AEW&C Operator. She’s very good at multitasking, and has sharp eyes.
-She also has a flight suit.
Origins/History: Born in Sweden, Strato lead a very normal, lazy, life. She went to college, but mostly just floated through it with no real direction in life. It took a video game to spur her with purpose. A game about aces flying through the sky in jets. So, she joined the Swedish Airforce, where she became a fighter pilot. Shortly after, she transferred to become a drone pilot. But she found that unfulfilling as well, finally she became an AEW&C Operator. She became the eye in the sky for countless Special Forces soldiers in foreign countries. For fighter pilots. For tank columns, and sometimes, even for naval fleets. Her skill as an AEW&C Operator was unmatched, and that was what precisely made her a candidate for a new secret group. The Americans requested her for a multi-national task force. The Swedish Government had no idea what this task force was, or what it would do, so they let Strato decide. Interested in the secrecy and mystery, she signed up.
Personality: Strato is a kind woman. Despite having never worked with Meta Ops troops before, she has worked with hundreds of soldiers across the world. She’s grown to be blunt, because beating around the bush costs too much time. She is somewhat easily annoyed, if someone blatantly ignores her intel, she will lecture them on how she can see everything that goes on in the world, at any time. Even that old lady who is a grandmother during the day and stripper by night. She will sometimes joke around, sometimes using puns. Most of the time they’re not funny, but she does her best.
Appearance:Her PlaneAEW&C Plane: Possibly the most advanced vehicle on the planet right now. The plane houses an advanced power core that was found inside the remains of a large meteor, which was found in Antarctica frozen into the ice by US Scientists. They studied the core for decades, finally putting it in a prototype plane, where it powered the entire plane and provided the engines with an unknown type of fuel. Spurred by this development, the scientists attempted to put the core in a generator to power cities. The core refused to work. Placed in a variety of vehicles, the core only worked in a plane. Defeated, and pressured by the military, the scientists agreed to start working on a plane to house the core. However with the introduction of Meta-Operations, the plane was designated to be an AWACS for Meta-Operations ground teams.
The project was then handed to Lockheed Martin’s Skunkworks, where they worked alongside the original scientists to create this aircraft. The EX-4 Grey Owl is the largest AEW&C in existence, and it is almost fully autonomous, requiring only one operator. The plane itself has everything you would expect of an AEW&C plane, including some more. The EX-4 Grey Owl includes even a small kitchen, a fridge, and bunk for one. The Owl has enough fuel and supplies that it can fly for a full week before needing to resupply and refuel.
Despite its tendency to just be faster than most missiles outright, it is supplied with several defensive systems. The rear of the plane has two ‘guns’ that shoot anti-missile flares, or chaff. The radar, even though its mostly used for detecting objects or vehicles, can also intercept enemy radar and detection systems and alter their signals. While the radar is online, the EX-4 Grey Owl is unseeable by radar, and cannot be locked onto by targeting systems. The EX-4 Grey Owl also has a rear cargo hatch, allowing for up to 30 people to sit, and for cargo to be placed in the trunk. The most appealing of the systems though is the drone control consoles, allowing the single operator to do their job if the team goes into a place where the plane cannot see them. The drone systems can control any type of drone developed by the Skunkworks, and there are several, most of them stored in the cargo space in the EX-4. The command console in the plane can access satellites around the world, giving her satellite imagery when she wants it, whenever she wants it.
Thanks to previously unknown techniques in aeronautical engineering, the EX-4 Grey Owl has a top speed of Mach 5.4, and a service ceiling of 30,400 meters, some have called it the Blackbird 2.0. However, the top speed is for its cruising mode, to get to the location, surveillance mode is significantly slower. One thing to note is that the switch between the two modes is quite fast, and once the plane is in cruising mode, it will just point the nose upwards and shoot off like a rocket.
The plane is currently extremely classified, very few people know of its existence. Even fewer know of the advances made by studying the extraterrestrial core. And even fewer know that one can communicate with it.
