When class ended Eden made a mad dash for the door. He had to try his best to avoid coming into contact with Eris. With all the rumors that were now floating around about the two, there was no way she'd let him get off scot-free. Lurking the halls, he tried his best to blend with the crowd. Eris was too sharp though, she picked him out of the crowd as he passed by the men's restroom and dragged him off into the corner. There was no where for him to run. Eden was trapped in between her and the wall. Resisting would be futile. She was a ferocious women, cold and unforgiving. Her eyes burned deep with anger, it seemed like she intended to kill him, but instead she spoke.
"How are you going to repay me, huh? You ruined my image in a way that I simply can't reconstruct. If you really want to play being my boyfriend this much..."
"You better be ready to face the consequences."
The whole time she spoke, she wore a wicked grin across her face. It was like she was deriving pleasure from seeing him backed into a corner with nowhere to run. She playfully toyed with her hair then leaned closely so only that Eden could hear. The look on her face had changed, she no longer smiled wickedly, her smile was more seductive in a way. The words that came out of her mouth did not surprise Eden. Instead of confessing her love, she threatened to take his life if he told her father. Giving a quick peck on the cheek she turned away and happily ran off. Eden was no longer a free man. Eris had him completely wrapped around her finger. As far as she was concerned, he was now no more than a plaything to her.
Eden didn't even bother attending second period. He was too worried about trying to find a way out of the mess he had made for himself. There were many options, but all of them ended with him facing untimely demise. He wanted to run, but he still had a job to do. He was hired to protect Eris Reinhardt, the heiress to a band of mercenaries. If that duty required him to pretend to be her boyfriend, then so be it. From this day forth Eden Wright would pretend to love Eris. There wasn't a single part of him that actually did, he hated her at this point. But, if he intended to keep his life, it's what he'd have to do.
By the time second period was over, things had already set in stone. Walking aimlessly around the campus Eden looked for something to occupy his time. Third period wouldn't start for another 45 minutes, this time was given to the students as a free period where they could eat lunch and talk to their friends. The problem was Eden had nothing to eat, he hadn't eaten anything in the past two days, and as for friend. He had none. This period was where social outcasts like him wallowed in their misery. He was about to just leave school for the day, but as he neared the gates, a group of girls ran up and stopped him. "Ummm.... Excuse me. You're Eden, right? Would you like to maybe have lunch with us?" Eden turned towards the group of girls and looked at the one who was standing in the center. She was a small thing, fragile with long black hair. The longer he stared, the smaller she seemed to grow. All the girls giggled as she shrunk away in fear, It was obvious this was the first time a boy had paid her any mind. "I'm sorry, I really nee-" Eden had planned to brush off their invitation, but mid-sentence he was cut off by the sound of his stomach growling. All the girls giggled as the sound resonated from his stomach. Taking it as a yes, one of the girls grabbed him by the hand and dragged him off into the grass where they were holding a picnic. Several boxed lunches sat in front of him. They were each made by a different girl, all of them just for him. It seemed wherever he went, women couldn't resist turning him into their plaything. "Are you going to try some or just stare at it?" One of the girls said jokingly. One of them then decided to just take a spoon full and shove it into his mouth. This started a frenzy, each of the girls were taking turns stuffing food into his mouth. By the end of it Eden felt like he was going to explode. I never knew I was so popular amongst the ladies.
