Or that she's a clumsy ditz. Though, if they were to dig below that ditzy, sometimes clumsy exterior, they would find a girl who is far more intelligent and creative than people give her credit for. She refuses to acknowledge this if it is brought up, and truth be told, she'd rather people not know of her book-smarts. Effie doesn't like the spotlight or when people expect far too much from her. She knows that if people know that she's smart, then they expect things from her, and she fears that she'll never meet people's expectations. She has a baby face framed with auburn colored hair that falls just to her shoulders. A multitude of freckles dot her heart-shaped face that only seem to darken from the sun. Effie hides her insecurities behind a happy smile and a bubbly personality. She prefers the outside than being cooped up in the house. Though, if she is inside, it's usually at a Starbucks somewhere sipping on an almond milk iced latte that she's almost never seen without. ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Skilled users of this may be able to create aura weapons or barriers, but as she is a novice at this, it only manifests itself as small, glittery aura blasts from her hands. The longer she uses this ability, the more draining it becomes on her body. If all of her aura is used, she will fall unconscious until the energy is replaced- whether from eating or from rest or both. ➽➽➽ Aura Detection - Effie can see the color and strength of other people's auras. She cannot manipulate them, however. ➽➽➽ Chi Duplicate - she is able to create one duplicate of herself with her aura. It is significantly weaker than her and has no abilities. This spell only lasts 10 minutes. Weaknesses ➽➽➽ Effie has an increased metabolism. She can eat a large meal, and still be hungry in a few hours. She can eat anyone under the table and never gain weight from it. He claims that her mother ran off with another woman and left the two of them behind. The two of them have moved from place to place every few years, and she became used to being on the go. It was always somewhere on the beach, and she came to love feeling the sand between her toes and the sun on her skin. Her father became a helicopter parent that pushed the girl to do better, and as a result she allowed her grades to remain average. His helicopter parenting style gave her little privacy, and she found herself turning to a journal that she kept secret from him in fear that he would take even that away. He disliked nerd culture, and so she kept her affinity for tabletop games a secret from him. Then, they moved to San Junipero. It just felt right to be there. Her father had wanted to pack up months ago, but Effie dug in her heels- saying the two of them had never really settled anywhere, and that she needed to experience school with other people- even if it was just an all girl's school. She wanted the two of them to actually stay in one place long enough for her to make friends this time. He told her that if she could prove herself and receive an academic scholarship for Arcadia that he would allow them to remain there until she was ready for college, and so she worked hard until she got what she wanted to. The school told her that she would have to repeat a grade to start school there, but she honestly didn't mind that. It was a boarding school, and so the only time that her father got to see her in person was on the weekends- which was a sweet relief for her.
