Eva scooted back a little as Gippal took Naisha's arm. She could tell he was really concerned for her So much he didn't complain about his face and it's nasty burn, it was third degree burns but he didn't utter one complaint. Only focused on his friend in front of him. Did...did he worry about her as well as much as this fragile girl before her? That wasn't fair..she almost died....and they haven't been friends nearly as long as he and Naisha.
She looked over at the tall red head as she threatened the would be thief. "Try anything and I'll make you bedridden." She then returned to Naisha and knelt down, placing a hand just like Gippal on her arm and sighing with relief, Then smiled. This was a first sight for Eva as she only saw this woman angry and in a panic. She then took the fragile woman's hand in her own and whispered "Thank the ancestors."
Eva took this time to reach over to Gippal and took his face in her cool hands, She whispered a word of cure and suddenly his now scarred face seemed to wash away till it was smooth once more. She smiled for a moment until she noticed Alex looking at them. It seemed like a switch was flipped as her blue eyes now glared at her and Gippal. Standing up, she turned toward them, arms crossing over her chest. After a moment of thinking she then said rather coldly, "Go help Urick. Make sure the idiot is alright and knows where we are. I can protect your girlfriend here." Eva turned bright red at the comment, pulling her hands away and into her lap.
Gippal stood up and said, "She's not my girlfriend." A pain shot in her chest but she pushed it away. He looked to her and continued, "You will be safe here, don't worry we wont let him get you." a small smile pricked her lips and nodded. He kept his promise so far these last two years she had no hesitation that he would continue to keep it. With the look in his eye, she could tell he really wanted to get back to the fight with Thane. He turned and rushed out the door. Alex waited for him leave before her eyes turned back to herself.
"....Thank you... For helping Nai. I was afraid we would lose her there." Alex said, her tone returning the gentle soft tone. Eva cleared her throat but only could bow her head.
Alex examined her before making eye contact. Having to look down a little as Alex moved up so they were only a couple feet apart. "Now. Explain to me what is going on. Urick won't tell me, even though he apparently grew up enough to tell me to shut up. And Gippal tends to flounder a bit in explanations. So, I'd like to hear a explanation from you first before I question them. What is your name, who are you, why is that man after you, and how exactly did you come to accompanying Gippal and Urick? We're you always a Summoner?" Alex said, her words firm and precise like a sword cutting paper.
Eva had looked away from Alex as she asked her all those questions. She was slightly uncomfortable and her hands grabbed at her dress, Wringing it out as if it was soaked in water. So she decided to do what she knew what would calm her down. She stood up and grabbed a wet cloth in a bowl next to them, then turning back to Alex she started with. "My name is Eva..." She tried to think which question would be best next answered, and as she did she lifted the cloth, keeping eye contact with Alex and motioned to her hands. Then reaching out she took the womans hand's and began to wipe the blood off of them.
"I... I don't really remember who I am... I only know my name, and the last two years of my life." She focused her red eyes towards Alex's hands as she dipped the cloth again and rinsed it. Continuing with her other hand. "I met Gippal and Urick while they were rescuing me From Thane only minutes after I came to two years ago. Apparently Thane was going to use me for a human sacrifice for one of his experiments, as he did with the girl just before me." She closed her eyes and paused for a minute, remembering the girl who was laying beside her, her chest oozing with blood.
Forcing her self to open her eyes as she finished wiping Alex's hand and then hers before looking up to Alex again. " I don't know what it was but it seems he needs me to complete it. He has been chasing us up till about six months ago... He never told us in the times he caught up why. So during this time we have been trying to look for who I am, while trying to be discreet."
She pulled her hands up to her foreams and hugged herself "Also I only became a Summoner last night....at least I think so...During the two years I've seemed to regain only bits and pieces of my memory. Some of those are memories of training to be a Summoner, which is crazy I know Sin's dead and all... I think it was to help preserve the memory of Summoners, to always remember where we been." She squeezed her eyes shut. For a moment, she felt it wasn't right, but it was the only logical explanation.
She then looked up to Alex and said, "Gippal and Urick wouldn't leave me, as they promised to help find out who I am. I know I caused you and your friend trouble by keeping them away, but it wasn't their fault. They wanted to return it was just that Thane was always one step behind us and if we stayed in one place too long he would catch up. They didn't want to endanger you two or the village." She placed her hands together and bowed to Alex. "Forgive me...it's all my fault." She started to cry, thinking to all the people who died and all those hurt.
