Finnos, God of Animals.
Finnos usually takes on the tangible form of a human boy of about the age 12, or so. His skin is light brown in color, his eyes are a startling gold. His hair is of similar color, just a lighter shade, and is shoulder length and always seems to be in a mess of curls. Finnos has no concept of shame or modesty, and runs freely without clothing. He, given he has the appearance of a young boy, is small in stature and is thin with no extensive muscle development, but not in an unhealthy, malnourished way.
Finnos is the God of Animals, granting him the following abilities:
Animal creation - Finnos shape from anything a creature of his own design, large or small, bird, beast, or fish. Since humans can be considered animals, they too, he can create. However, his brother, Ybris, must grant it life so it may function. To bypass this Finnos can take a piece of his very being to make something, but that physically weakens him as giving life was not his given purpose. He can regain his essence back if he removes what he created from existence.
Animal communication - Finnos would have no joy if he was not able to communicate with what he had created. He can speak to any living animal, and find out its needs, desires, and concerns. This is often how he takes care of them, determining issues amongst animals via speech. But animals do not have Wissdom, only instinct, so their words are sometimes choppy or the syntax is organized incorrectly. Yet, Finnos can still surmise what they are saying.
Animal shapeshifting - Finnos can turn himself into any animal, but that isn't particularly unique as he allows with permission his brothers and sisters the same ability. On command Finnos may also turn whomever he wants into an animal for an extended period of time, i.e cursing a human to be a rat if he is disobeyed. That doesn't mean he does it only for malicious purposes-- if asked politely he would gladly turn a human into their desired animal for a small period of time.
Animal manipulation - This young god has the gift to manipulate physically or mentally an already living animal. This falls also to humans, since he created them he can, for a short amount of time, take away their free will and control them. However Finnos respects and appreciates Synn's gift of Freedom, so controling humans happens extremely rarely. As for the physical side of it, he can make animals have extra limbs, eyes, horns, etc, or change the color of their pelts and it's patterns to fit his ideas.
Wishes - If Finnos is pleased with a mortal, he will make for them a special present; a powerful animal of their own design. This is only if it is not violent or destructive, and threatens Gods or Mankind.
The Faenos - A race of nymph-like beings who through Finnos's gifted abilities created Insects and bestowed Instinct. They are small in number, and are Finnos's creation to help maintain nature. The appear as beautiful, svelte, and sly creatures. Their eye, hair, and skin color range from light to dark natural pigmentations found in nature. For some reason, they are frightened of Man and do not interact with them. They also serve other Gods and help them with their own creative ideals if requested upon.
other abilities; heightened senses, instinct, teleportation, invisibility.
**Personality**:
Childlike - Being one of the youngest gods, it seems that Finnos feels like he has to embody a child. He is prone to being easily impressed, has mood swings just like a toddler, insatiably curious, and can be quite defiant in the face of authority.
Adaptable - As the creator of multiple, countless species of animals, it's inevitable Finnos would have an adaptable personality trait. He adjusts and considers all situations, and doesn't mind change. Finnos is also known to talk much like humans do with all their informalities and colloquialism.
Shifty - Like any child, Finnos will be a troublemaker. He teases his siblings, and toys with humans. Maybe he'll make their dog start talking or appear as a giant man eating snake to scare them. Who knows. He often talks around things that he may have done to avoid punishment, and be sarcastic or witty about it.
Happy-go-lucky - Finnos is never in a dull mood if all is well with his creations. He is constantly cheerful, and leans towards optimistic in demeanor.
Protective - Balsis save you if you unreasonably hurt or kill any animal. His facade of child-innocence will disappear and he will become, somehow, ridiculously formal in that scary way like when you know shits going down when an illiterate person suddenly starts using grammar when they get mad.
