Computer's getting fixed tomorow, er, today. Holy shit its already 1 AM. I'm drunk

Bio

The name's Specter, though some folks call me Spectre because they cant read or Spec, the er is the correct way of spelling it, because the name's not from a ghost: Its actually from a PS2 game called SOCOM: Combined Assault

I'm in and out when it comes to roleplaying so I suppose that makes me a bit of a poor partner, I try to put in effort when I can and if the night seems right.

Also, I dont do discord, not since they went full George Orwell. I use other, non skype methods of chatting with the boys and if I feel the need, I'll reach out to you with the means of talking to me outside of here.

@boomlover Yes, the Commando falls under the category of "nearly every single 'Mech from the timeline"
@Lord Coake Not to worry, we're compiling a list and describing nearly every single 'Mech from the timeline, so the 100 ton behemoth'll definitely get listed
@ArenaSnow Sounds good boss, Merc Units are the absolute way to go IMO, allows a hell of a lot of freedom for the newbies.

For those of you who are not so hip on Battletech, I'm a nineteen year vet, give me a mention or shoot me a PM and I'll work with you to get a solid chassis that you can run with that functions in the role you want.

Also boss I'd be more than happy to run an antagonist along with a Merc, Clanners are my primary faction (Clan Wolf/Ghost Bear for life) if you want some help in cataloging and describing the many, many 'Mechs with a snarky bent I can do that too.

As for the Merc Unit, that'll be a helluva lotta fun to develop.
@ArenaSnow Good 'Ol Thor, used to make my younger self shit his pants back in the days of Mechwarrior 2. Hellbringers are fun too, fast little bastards, 'specially for the tonnage. I always preferred more heavier brawler types myself, either that or poptart with PPC's

Now, if you wanna have some REAL fun, you take a Supernova, strip out all the excess tonnage you can, and slap as many heavy/large lasers on the bucket you can fit. Then pray to god almighty that the 'Mech you just cored with a single alpha strike didn't have pals behind it.
Shout out to @Haeo and @Stern Algorithm for having a really compelling sidestory going on amidst the chaos and shenanigans. I hope we can find an answer to the age old question of "Do you think love can bloom on the battlefield in a bookstore?"

Seriously though, I'm invested, its great, keep it up

@boomlover Panther* and I'm surprised you wouldn't go for something like a Summoner
@ArenaSnow Alas! Oh well, Warhamner/Cataphract it is

If we can play ubermenschClanners then I am SO calling dibs on a Timbie
@boomlover I also would not underestimate some of the shenanigans you can pull with the Timberwolf and Mad Dog, oh lover of booms, for they can pack some nasty heat in their missle racks

Also pulse lasers, many many pulse lasers
@boomlover You think Commandos are bad? Try Panthers, Spiders and Jenners

The former even has a PPC

Also let's not forget the almighty ECM/TAG Raven, who will sneak behind your lines and introduce you to a Macross Missle Massacre when it gives its Catapult and Longbow pals something to shoot at
