Why do I insist on asking idiotic questions? It's just going to make me feel more like an idiot.

Bio

Well that poem was a fun place holder but I guess I should put in a real bio.

Well to start off, I'm a 22 year old male and writing is a huge hobby of mine in general. I've been rp'ing close to about 8 years now with various outlets but since it's hard to find partners after a while I decided to join up on a forum. I hate rp'ing in fandoms that allow for non-original content so you won't find me going into any Naruto or Star Wars rp's that take place in the era of the show or attempting to just live out the in show scenes. I hate posting less than I can describe when it comes to my rp's, and love to develop expansive in depth worlds. All this lead to me trying to organize open world rp scenarios, but time's a' wastin' and I want to get my writing fix.

I don't really have any genres I won't rp if I find them interesting, but I definitely prefer Sci-fi and Fantasy settings. Really I'm not sure what else to put here, I'm having trouble finding rp's to get involved in and I'm waiting to see if mine will go anywhere before I give up pitching ideas. I prefer characters that talk over using brute strength, and this usually lands me the role as the Rogue in games such as D&D or literally every rpg ever. I don't mind playing female characters at all and I have several I love to play, but not many males that I don't just make as I go. I am very willing to go 18+, feel free to approach me with pitches.

I know I'm forgetting something... I'll come back to this.

Ok so I need to get on the same page here with you, cause I'm getting confused.

I'm 90% sure that when you cast a ward it's a kind of barrier or veil.
From my understanding putting a property on someone or something for a long or short amount of time is an enchantment.

Which one are you trying to do? Give a property to the king that will make them susceptible or use a spell to simply make them weaker?
@hagroden@Rune_Alchemist

Uh well a "debuff" would depend on the method you're going about it, cause if you're inflicting a long standing spell that has conditions to be met to cause some kind of reaction I believe that would be a curse. But if it's just like a negatively applied spell like this pencil that makes you throw up every time you touch it that I would still call an enchantment, just not a good one. But a spell that makes your own spells stronger would be a buff, and that honestly also depends on how you would go about it since there are enchantments that do that, artifacts that do that, a bard you could make friends with could do that. You know. Stuff.
@hagroden@Rune_Alchemist

Indeed you can, it's more about flowing magic into a wound to stitch it together and mend bonds. With that in mind you can easily sever those stitches and force the magic to expand outward, essentially blowing the wound back open before the body heals itself without the magic. As for counter spells, I tried to avoid making a magic tree specifically to encourage canceling someone else's magic entirely as it would be kind of hard to do in a rp without it devolving into a playground "NO YOU DIED I MAGIC'D YOU" "NO YOU DIED BECAUSE I BLOCKED YOUR SPELL WITH MY SUPER MAGIC CANCEL" "NU-UH" -shoveyslapfightensuesandIhavetosendrunetofixit- kind of thing. So alternatively and to make fights last a bit longer I gave the option of warding spells that function similarly to how they do in elder scrolls, a barrier comes up and if the factors line up the spell cannot pierce the ward. Technically speaking, wards are protection magic and protection falls under the broad umbrella of Restoration in many games I play so even if you didn't want to call it restoration the restoration teacher still teaches it sooooo

Sorry if that took awhile to get back to you on I was distracted by cute anime girls.
And here's the final version {I believe.} by nerfing the memory erasure limit to 15 mins a day.

Looks pretty solid to me, if any more problems come up in the future I'll let you know. For now, I'll approve it as so far I don't see anything more that needs nerfing.
Im alive kinda... just checking in ill be back saturday

No worries we got'ya.

@Spirit

Did...did Isil just get a healing class? I know I put 'Restoration' but that wasn't what she had in mind xD

Ohboi we're gonna have a grumpy elf.

I just can't pick the right gif...
No Restoration for Garanin?

He's in enchanting. And these are just homeroom teachers.
Alright, the time skip is up.

The new year has begun!

Everyone, enjoy your time here at the Arcanium!

If I missed anyone, seriously let me know it was a bit hard to navigate around. There are more teachers to come, so expect more and more to fill our time here! Thank you all for your patience.

The next morning was relatively quiet. Many students had been at the feast late into the night and so the hall was absent of any bodies. Sunlight crept through certain points of the ceiling that had strategically placed skylights so that the morning sun light the hall, as the dorms on the left and the right of the length of the hall didn't allow for windows. Nothing stirred in the warmth of the fall air, and as the scene settled and only dust moved in the glow of the morning faint pattering could be heard in the distance. A small paper Raven, similar to the ones from before, entered the scene of the student's hall. Soon, many more pattering steps could be heard following but this time, the Ravens did not move with a sense of urgency.

They made their ways to the individual first year student's doors, identified by their door handles and their name tags, and with two short pecks the door silently moved open to allow them inside. Typically the door would only open for certain people, but as messengers of the Headmistress herself these little paper fowl were allowed entry as they pleased. Some didn't feel the need to enter however, and insisted on pecking the door repeatedly to deliver their message. The ones that did choose to enter however, made their way onto the student's beds and looked at their message recipients. They flicked their heads side to side, observing the slumbering students until abruptly beginning to peck them in the cheek annoyingly.

When the students finally awoke and received their messages individually, they did not explode into confetti this time, but rather unfolded themselves into a parchment that read "Mentor Assignments". The Parchment read as follows,

The birds stayed in this form, the enchantment dissipating as it's job had been done. The smell of breakfast filled the air soon enough, and the day was about to begin. The Great School of the Arcanium was finally turning it's gears, and the new year was soon to begin...
