Bio

Well that poem was a fun place holder but I guess I should put in a real bio.

Well to start off, I'm a 22 year old male and writing is a huge hobby of mine in general. I've been rp'ing close to about 8 years now with various outlets but since it's hard to find partners after a while I decided to join up on a forum. I hate rp'ing in fandoms that allow for non-original content so you won't find me going into any Naruto or Star Wars rp's that take place in the era of the show or attempting to just live out the in show scenes. I hate posting less than I can describe when it comes to my rp's, and love to develop expansive in depth worlds. All this lead to me trying to organize open world rp scenarios, but time's a' wastin' and I want to get my writing fix.

I don't really have any genres I won't rp if I find them interesting, but I definitely prefer Sci-fi and Fantasy settings. Really I'm not sure what else to put here, I'm having trouble finding rp's to get involved in and I'm waiting to see if mine will go anywhere before I give up pitching ideas. I prefer characters that talk over using brute strength, and this usually lands me the role as the Rogue in games such as D&D or literally every rpg ever. I don't mind playing female characters at all and I have several I love to play, but not many males that I don't just make as I go. I am very willing to go 18+, feel free to approach me with pitches.

I know I'm forgetting something... I'll come back to this.

Alright everyone, I'm turning off my computer, I'll be back tomorrow after my flight sometime hopefully. For the next 5 days or so I'm gonna be slow but I plan to be active to some degree.

I plan to be hammering out some lore stories in my free time while I'm there, so I hope to have something out of character to give you guys at some point. Be it like a terribly written fairy tail, or a map, or like a paper on a culture or something. Whatever I decide to do to pass my time. For some of you dnd players maybe I'll make one of my dungeons available. Who knows. We'll see.

Alright guys see you soon!
@hagroden

It is possible but convoluted as hell and harder than you would expect.

So I posted some interactions, but I had to cut the book lore a bit short cause I'm a bit busy and have 3 hours before I sleep. I have to pack and clean a floor, I have a flight in the morning. If I have any time while I'm in texas, which I should since I will be home alone for awhile tomorrow after I get picked up from the airport, I'll be posting as often as possible.

The man gave a hearty laugh before taking one of each of the breakfast items on the hot iron and put it between the two pieces of toast with a few slices of cheese he had hidden in a cooler spot under a table so it wouldn't melt. He took a large hammer after putting all the food into the toasted sandwich, stacked high and almost ready to fall over, then brought the hammer crashing down on top of the sandwich, smashing it into a easily held disk like mess. He offered the sandwich to his kin, and then began to speak.

"Hahaaa, I am not the master enchanter brother. I am Dovlin Ahbarer." This name was one of instant recognition in the realm of the dwarves. Dolvin Ahbarer was known far and wide in the dwarven lands as the finest smith in recent dwarven history, who disappeared about 15 years ago after taking a trip to a close by kingdom.

"The master you're reffering to, is master Tivi Rovi, a dear friend of mine. Those enchantments you saw on your way in were his doing. Though the metalwork is of my personal hand." He gave a hearty laugh that filled the room as he made yet another sandwich in the same fashion.

@Legion02

"Oh... I see. Yes yes. Come in young one." Her voice was a bit sharp and deliberate from word to word, but her voice still felt somehow gentle. She moved away from the door and allowed the student to come in. Upon entering the room, the first thing someone would notice would be it was remarkably typical for a classroom. There were rows of tables lined up and facing a stage like area. There were several paper bulbs on one of the tables, made of parchment that was remarkably yellowed and stiff looking. Master Lunilla moved gracefully through the room, making her way deliberatly to a free table. Her outfit was a long pearly blue robe that hid any sign of her figure, and it was almost indistinguishable from her silver flowing hair. She sat at the table and motioned for her student to come sit with her. When he was at the table with her, she calmly took the book and placed it onto the table.

"First I should explain, my title of the rune weaver is one given to me for what many in this land would consider a rather... Unusual... Method of casting my spells..." Her hands began to glow at the tips of her fingers as she guided them through the air with the gentleness of a flowing stream. As she did, lines began to take shape where her fingers moved. It soon made a floating character unfamiliar to the student, or anyone in the school for that matter. The character glowed with a gentle blue pale glow, and somehow felt gentle. She let him observe for a moment, but then soon placed her hand behind the character with her palm facing outward and spoke very deliberately and very sharply. "Wéifēng." A gentle breeze blew from out of the character and onto the boy's face that he could tell was not present in the room naturally.

"In my land, this is how magic is normally cast. It was actually strange to me, that you all do not use magic this way." She straightened her pointer and middle fingers and quickly swiped through the character from the side and then down the middle, making it dissipate into thin air. "However, because of this strange magic to you, I was dubbed a user of a similar concept called runes. But in my land, magic is part of everyday life. Because of this, my knowledge from my days in the monastery have made me in this land's eyes an expert in the usage of magic, and the application of it in practicality for use in every day life. This has also lead to me becoming a teacher in magical concepts. And so that brings us to your focus." She motioned to the book.

"A focus, in essence, is an extension of a mage's self. A personal tool that is bonded to them, and assists them only. To make one I cannot help you too much, as the process is incredibly intimate and personal between a mage and their focus. You must carry it at all times, and you must flow your magic into it regularly, constantly even. It is the same process as a fortune teller bonding with their cards to tell the future. You must likewise, bond to your focus." The master waved her hands in the air and made projections of her lecture as she spoke, giving a small visual aid as she spoke. "There is something I can do for you however. I can give you a way to bond with your focus more directly."

@Rune_Alchemist

Very abruptly the door swung open and Isil found herself swooped up into the arms of a large woman with a motherly deeper voice. "Oh why HELLO my new student! HELLO, HELLO, HELLOOOOOOOOO!" The large woman squeezed the student affectionately and tightly before putting her back down onto the ground. The woman that had just suddenly man-handled the poor elf was a large, rather plump and homely woman and came off as intolerably overly friendly. "I am master Liyva! The Restoration teacher! I am so happy to have you in my class young miss Isilfarrel!"

@MadManMoon

(Because that other name was awful and non-immersive lol)

The Drow and the Dark Elves have often times in culture been called the same. This however, is simply not true. While it is true that the Drow are descended from the Dark Elves and share many similarities, they are intrinsically an entirely separate race. It is notable to state that the Dark Elves and Drow despise each other, this is due to years of political differences. While the Dark Elves are known to be cruel and inhumane in their practices, having built cities on slave labor and attempted to invade and conquer other nations regularly; the Drow are known to live in a more tribal life style in a secluded forest on the coast of the mainland. The Drow refuse to take slaves, and often avoid communing with the outside world. This is due to their falling out with the Dark Elf society many generations ago, and this is where the term "Drow" originated. The term was originally a slur used to denote "lesser" beings in the dark elf blood pool, that didn't have the traits that Dark Elves deemed to be the proof of superior genetics. Because of these lack of genetic traits, these "lesser" dark elves were enslaved by their own people, and often worked along side human prisoners and tiefling slave workers. But one day, a revolution occurred, and the small group of rebellious slaves that embraced their new name "Drow", gained their freedom.

Once they escaped to the forest they now call their home, they spent generations there and soon they began to change.

Actually... This might make a good time to start introducing the "Pact arc" I have planned for Kyvir...

@Spirit, I'm assuming all the classic DnD pact options are available; The Archfey, Fiends, and Great Old Ones, right?

It's a solid assumption, but unfortunately this is gonna be kinda complicated due to lore. Basically you're never going to fully see anything more like glimpses of shadows separated by a force you can't fully understand. Demons don't actually come to this world, which I'm sure you're gonna get confused as to how that's the case when you're literally playing a tiefling. And the answer to that my friend is simple, you ain't gonna know about that until someone looks into it in detail. So here's the thing, I never had anyone talk about pact magic and I kinda just assumed how it worked. For you though I'll do some good old fashioned dm handwaving. But with some conditions.

I'm not letting you do this straight out, as forming a pact with anything in this world requires you to actually be in it's presence. So it's gonna be a bit complicated if you want a demon. First off, you're gonna have to contact a demon, or get to the infernal world. One of these is easier than the other, I'm sure you can figure out which one. lol

Once you do that, basic demon soul pact.

Option 2, Archfey. Another problem similar to demons, while there are normal fey on this plane, there aren't any Archfey on this plane. And getting from one plane to another is... Actually unprecedented. Possible, but not practical. There are a few way to do it, but going through all that effort in a RP is kinda out of your range of instant gratification. Table top, doing it is easier. But in the rp you're full immersion so this would take months of dedication to pull off in real time. You would have to study hard and put pieces of puzzles together, then once you figured it out you have to go on a few quests. And ain't nobody got time for that. Not to mention once you get to that plane, you can't come back the way you came so... Yeah more than a few issues here.

There are a few other options that you have that there will be touches of in this rp as one character Isabelle already has had my explicit hand in tying her dissent into madness into a concept. And if you explore THAT particular area then you don't have to find ways to get a demon.

The last one though, creation mythos is kinda a bitch. Unfortunately the closest thing to the Elder Things in my lore is the most difficult thing to contact, and if you did you're going insane. Like no leeway on that you would be ripping out your eyes and smelling the colors of a butterfly's fart in a parallel world that is then also on the other side of that world. Seeing things you don't want to, experiencing pain in places on your body that don't exist, living lives within seconds of moments between real moments of your life, etc. And nothing can stop that once it starts. Soooo... Don't even try that lol

So if I had to give you more feasible options off the top of my head, finding a "living god" of an evil alignment, finding a powerful lich, or travelling to the far east and making a pact with a zodiac vessel would be the easiest ways of doing this. Or you know giving a catalyst of contact to an abyssal realm demon for a brief moment. All of these are highly forbidden except the Zodiac Vessels mind you, so caution.

Yeah having an expansive lore like this is meant to be explored from the ground up, hence why I like to be consulted like this.

But on the other hand, since I'm sure nobody has the patience to actually follow the lore to a T, we could just say fuck it and let you summon a demon with less of an issue. As long as you understand that

Oh quick afterthought, you do this out in the open and you're gonna be put to death like immediately soooo. Oh and there's always the option of binding to a less powerful familiar. Like a mermaid. Or a Dryad. Or a stick you're pretty sure is a dryad secretly that's too shy to tell you it's actually a dryad.
....HOLY COCKS

What?
You done rewrite the whole lore?@Spirit

I never rewrote the lore, more like I have an actual lore book that covers the whole world's current standing in history and culture. It's only about 10% complete right now as I've only made dungeons for like, 5 or 6 places and currently I have to work on designing a gambling card game.

I have my lore hammered out in my head it just has to go down on paper, but this is going to span like 8 notebooks...
Alright, well, suppose I should be getting Isil to class. I'll see about having something up this evening~

Ohoooo boy you're gonna love restoration class. Isil is gonna be right at home. Yesiree. Not gonna regret not trading places at all. Nope.
Well not getting shot at but gunshots going off in the middle of the night is rather alarming lol Where I live it's not unlikely that someone would be shooting or something in their back yard. But still that shouldn't excuse my laziness. I got to work harder at stopping procrastination. Today after a quick sleep and a trip to target for soda I'll be dedicating most of my day to working on my lore book so I'll be in the mood to write, I already have plans to keep my computer with me when I go to texas so that while I'm not out hanging out at the convention or out to dinner or something I can try to get in a quick post or two. If I absolutely have to I will just allow a period of free roaming and interaction between students to encourage some player to player interactions and leave rune to make any judgement calls if something comes up to be allowed or not. I have Discord on my phone as well to answer questions and such in my community.

Entirely level here, I feel unmotivated when I'm depressed and was dropping the ball pretty hard this past week or so, I feel pretty good and have been in the mood to write today so I shouldn't have this issue for the foreseeable future. However, I'm also trying to make it a point to allow everyone to post their respective roles and purposefully designed my rp to be an open world rp to promote posting whether or not I'm involved, but the thing is I should be more attentive when people post to me specifically. A busy schedule and stressful environment is one thing but MY players deserve better from me. That could just be me being to hard on myself, but I feel like I should make a harder effort to do better for all you guys. Rune's doing a good job at helping me out and keeping my mind straight on the standards I've been setting for the rp so far, and as I predicted this helps me a lot.

So in the end, maybe I'm just lazy? Maybe I'm more depressed than I think I am? Who knows, all I know is that I think I should just try harder regardless of my circumstance.
Oh shit it's been 2 days? Boy do I need to fix my schedule I thought it was only 1.

The man that was singing slowly came into view through a clutter of tools and items that adorned a workbench before the corner turn, he was black haired with a deep booming voice and as the song would have suggested he was indeed a dwarf. There was an anvil to the left of a large flaming pit next to a modestly sized brick chimney fitted so that it all came together to create a functioning yet impressive forge. It's heat could be felt full force upon turning the corner that would make anyone not accustomed to the sweltering heat want to derobe almost entirely just to cool their bodies. The anvil had a runemark on it and the top was blazing red as a very traditional dwarven breakfast of hashed browns, eggs, steak, bacon, and large sausages cooked in a massive quantity next to a pile of 15 slices of overly crisped toast that would likely be hard and unpleasant to eat. The method of cooking would leave a slight taste of fire and metal on the tongue, certainly ruining the food for most people. Just like the cooking of the warband back in the dwarven woodlands.

As Garanin spoke and cut off the song, the man stopped singing and turned to face him. His beard was about mid length, face covered in ash and soot with his nose thin and defined leading to a very kind looking face. The man laughed a warming booming laugh at the sight of another dwarf and quickly pounded a fist to his left shoulder still holding a metal clamp with a orange glowing piece of metal in it's grasp, shooting sparks onto the eggs behind him as his fist met his shoulder. "Hail Brother! It is an interesting day indeed to see another Dwarf walk through these doors!" He tucked the clamp in between his arm and his side and extended his blackened hand, rough and strong as would be expected from long experienced worker.
