Bio

I'm awful at doing Bios.

Sorry for the rudeness, I'm now taking the time to write this thing. So, yeah just your 20 something college student slash soon to be corporate slave and resident roleplayer here. I consider myself a casual to advance writer, or so I would like to think. I will join anything ranging from slice of life, sci fi, fantasy, apocalyptic or anything that involves superpowers. I balance life, video games and comic books and I balance it well.

My dream squad.

@Lady Amalthea When will be a good time to throw in another character? I thought I should have one now since my current schedule's pretty loose. :>

Gerard Connolly

Location: Wyndham Manor

Gerard firstly put away the things scattered on the floor, papers and such. He would flip through the pages, studying it's contents to which mostly are business related papers. Nothing special, Gerard had no interest in such. He wasn't sure where they were respectively placed so he just neatly organized them on the study table as best he can. After he was done, the office looked a bit orderly now than it were before. Although Abigail could've done a much better job, he thought. He tried his best, still.

He closed the door behind him as he left the room and caught Abigail and Cook in the middle of a hushed conversation. Abby then rushed to the kitchen before he can even approached them. Gerard then went towards Cook who was sitting on the couch, looking at her as if wanting to get in on what was going on. He desperately wanted to know what was happening and if Millie was going to be ok. Anything that could ease his anxious worrying.

"Cook, what is going on?"Gerard searched her eyes, arms across his chest hoping, pleading that she would tell him something. He doesn't like the idea of being left out in something this serious, specially involving Millie's current state.

What can he do? His mind would go over the possibilities in situations like this, at least to take away a little of her pain. He wished he knew how. He could ask her but it was no good to remind her of the horror she had been through. Would a hug work? A soft caress on her cheek to wipe away her tears, holding her close and telling her everything will be ok? Like a proper gentleman would in the books that he would find himself reading in some occasions. If only he could. Millie doesn't seem to want him there, rolling to the side away from him. He looked down on his lap for a few moments, hearing her quiet sobs.

As Gerard got up from the edge of Millie's bed, Abigail and Cook entered the room, he stood there as he watched them get busy. He nodded when Abigail asked him to help Cook with the buckets, but abruptly changed her mind. For a moment he looked at her, and to Millie who was clutching her arm.

"Alright." His expression was glum, nodding at her direction as he left the room. It was only appropriate for him to do so, for whatever reason she did not want to look at him, or is it the other way around? There could be a reason, but Gerard couldn't exactly understand. At this point he doesn't care, he only wished he could be there for her, confide in him for whatever the reason. Milli is his family, and one thing about Gerard is he never turns away from family. Even if the worse comes to worst, he will stay.

He went down to the office and looked at the room the prowler had left. He sighed deeply and went over the mess, scrounging at the piles. All the while, his mind was with Millie.

That moment, Gerard couldn't keep his heart still. There were a bunch of emotions going through him; sorrow, confusion, anger. He looked at Milli and see nothing of the strong, intelligent woman he always saw her to be. She was unrecognizable. What could have really happened that brought her to this? Looking away she let out her words between shaky breaths, he did not know what she actually meant by it.

As they came into the manor, Cook had the same look he had when she laid eyes on Millie. He could hear Abigail calling, going about in the room and asked him to take her upstairs, not that she needed to tell him that as he was almost halfway ip the stairs. He hurried up, her weight had shifted them but he let his shoulders lean on the wall, as he held her tightly. They finally went inside her bedroom, and lay her down on the bed, slowly bending over the side as he carefully did. This time he had a clear view of her, what she had gone through. The gash on her face and the wreaking smell of blood, on her body. Amounts of it, that he figured some of it did not belong to her's.

Regrets slowly ate him little by little. He was suppose to be the family protector, he shouldn't have run off that time and couldve stayed by her side. His hands balled into a fist, resting on his lap. Gerard was sitting by her bed, looking down at her soiled yet gentle hands. He had a feeling she wouldnt want to talk about what happened at Almack's, after what happened there. To Jane, Mrs. Wyndham as what he had heard from Lord Ratherford earlier. "I'm very sorry." he finally spoke, his sad eyes to hers, frightened and bloodshot from the tears and his heart was breaking all over again.

Gerard secured the last of the screws on the latch. Still he could not shake the feeling that something is still not quite right with all of this. He could rightly feel it in his gut. Just the way they were neatly removed from the latch it was as if somebody did it not from the outside, as what a usual break in would have been. It frightens him that somebody from the estate must have done it, Cook, Everrett, Abigail or anyone in the staff. He wouldn't be able to process if one of them might be found guilty of this.

Just as he was done, giving the newly repaired window latch a few tests, he heard Abigail call out to him. Looking out the window his heart stopped at the sight of Milli. Without so much as a second to waste he rushed down the stairs and out the door. He heard the tragedy that occurred at Almack's from Lord Ratherford just as he reached outside the front door . As the carriage drove off Gerard hastened towards her, and offered his arms to help up the injured woman.

He met her with a troubling stare, "Millie." he never addressed her with only her first name before, it has always been 'Miss Millie' to him, ever since he worked here. "I'll take her." He took her from Abby and gently, slowly carried her in his arms.

She was in tears, blood dripping down from the slits on her arms and on her thigh, soaking her dress in a shade of crimson. Gerard never saw Millie cry this much before and seeing her like this, for the first time, made his weary heart shatter in a million pieces. Who could've done this? Who could've even dared? He wasn't entirely sure what exactly happened at Almack's but he wished he could've been there.

While they all walk back inside the manor, Gerard did not exactly know what to say properly at that very moment, or make out the words to at least bring comfort to her. He was never really good expressing with words. Right then, he did not know what else to do, but to just carry her in his arms as they walk in silence, his grip was gentle, warm and comforting around her body. His eyes showed compassion, downhearted as he looked down at her. "It's alright. I'm not going anywhere." He spoke tenderly, his voiced slightly cracking with emotion.

Sylvi the Barbarian

Sylvi spent the next week and a half dutifully fulfilling her job as the ship's faithful cook, where she'd spent most of the days in the kitchen below deck, organizing stocks and generally keeping the place upright. Other than that, she'd go above deck, manning the sails where it would be the only time she'd get to socialize with the other crew. Sometimes she would happily insist on accompanying the quartermaster in checking the rations, and other supplies for that matter if he ever happens to pass by her way.

Yet in between those she makes sure to take a few breaths every once in a while. She'd take part in the crew's small gatherings to pass time, they were quite genial though there wasn't much to do other than exchanging tales over drinks or betting whoever gets to drink more before the other passes out. Sylvi isn't much of a drinker so she would mostly just watch to her amusement.

The week and a half passed and it felt like it hadnt been that long. Sylvie hoisted the merchant flag as they come close to a few hours on the docks of Afton. Halvard loved the visits to Aryllia. He always preferred the stone jungles of the the city, rather than quiet seclusion of the countrysides. Sylvi never really liked the city. It would be the first time she'll set ever set foot there again since her husband's death.

The captain briefed them of their objectives. Sylvi should be definitely up for the challenge, though there was still some circumspection in her part, if it were really that dangerous. Though she feared for herself, more so to the crew with her.

As she gathered her things below deck before moving out, she was greeted by the enchantress, and with a favor to ask. Sylvi thought it would be ideal to have each other's back if they're ever going to delve into the dangerous unknown. She returned a smile at the shorter woman, "Of course. I'd be happy to. " She responds. " I'd feel safer myself being close to a skilled enchantress. A great way to compliment each other's strengths, eh?" the Valian gave her a friendly smile, with a laid back demeanor she casually patted her shoulder, a little bit harder than it should.

@SuperNova9000
Same, apologies as well, It's been a busy week for me. I'm working on something now, though I'll probably have it done by tomorrow. Right after I get a proper night's sleep. :<

Gerard waited while the constable took a look around the place, watching him look over certain areas of the room. The constable had to reconfirmed if nothing in there was indeed, taken. "Aye. None that we know of. " He reaffirmed, at least he checked that nothing of value in the room was apparently missing. The constable then proceeded to ask him of the Wyndham's business matters, regarding who was managing whilst Mr. Whyndham's absence. "That would be Ms. Millicent of course. She'd been watching over things, even before Mr. Wyndham went missing. " And Gerard could see that she was working deeply on what her father had left. Even if it was only to have the staff be payed, her kindness was limitless. And it was one of the many things everyone in the staff admire her for.

After the night of investigation, the constable was finally done and noted to have them report if they ever find what ever is missing. Gerard gave him a short nod in reply. Before he took his leave he turn to Gerard, there was solemnity in the irishman's blue eyes at what he had said. "I will, with everything in my power." he, assured him. Gerard had lost plenty close to him, those that gave him the love he thought was gone along with them. When he first met Millie, Gerard was distant. He never thought, or even wanted to have any sort of personal connection with her, or anyone for that matter in the first year that he worked on the Manor. But anyone would find it a challenge to not be drawn to a woman like Millicent. Before he even knew it, the woman had already made her way unknowingly into his heart, an eventful moment that had even caught him by surprise.

After the constable left, Gerard now made his way to his own room by the stables to get something that would fix the broken window, trying to remember while on his way if he had some spare screws lying around there. Once he got what he needed he went back to the Manor, just like she promised Abby had left the door open for him. The room was scented of Milli and after a moment of pausing by the entrance, he paced towards the window and got to work.
