Now, I'm not Rune, so I can't really answer your question about whether you'd be able to play as a Gym Leader but not a trainer… but would you really want to? I mean, Gym Leaders don't tend to do all that much, because they've got their own battles to take care of, and we might not even get to your Gym for ages. xD

But at the same time, Gym Leaders are not static and flat characters. In the anime and the game, it's frequent that you see the Gym Leaders wander around before you even get to the Gym, and a few even become temporary companions, either for the whole series or a part of it.

Also, there isn't really any rules to naming Gyms, but generally I like making it connect to their main Gym type, either directly or indirectly.

If the inactivity keeps going on, I may have to introduce my new character early.
Huzzah! We have our first gym leader!

...and now I'm off to bed people~ xP

I'll finish up the first post of the IC tomorrow morning, then we can all get our shenanigans started.

The Azalea Gym Leader reminds me of Clay, from both the Pokemon Black/White series and Shaolin Showdown.

Plus, I'm not quite sure playing a Gym Leader counts as taking a Trainer slot or not, or whether you can play a Gym Leader but not a trainer.

Another idea I have is that we don't have to follow the Gym Leader sequence in the main game. Twenty years have passed, and surely they've added new routes and shortcuts all over the place with extra towns and cities. Maybe add some RP canon of what happened to the Gym Leaders, especially the younger ones (Faulkner, Bugsy, Whitney, and Jasmine are kids, if not teenagers in HGSS, so they should still be alive and doing their own stuff.)

Details.

Normal-type moves such as Cut, Vice Grip, or Uproar is resisted by Rock and Steel-types, as well as completely failing against Ghost-types. Crawdaunt is a Water-Dark type, therefore the attack will affect Crawdaunt normally.

For Normal-type Pokémon, however, they are immune to Ghost-types and weak to Fighting types.

The move was not very effective. Wild Crawdaunt used Guillotine! It's a one-hit KO!

Crawdaunt is not a Rock or Steel type, it shouldn't resist Normal-type moves.

That is actually a pretty acurate depiction of a pokemon fight if it were to occur in our world :P

Corphish used Cut!

Just the OOC, mate. I doubt the IC is gonna move that fast~ xP
An Active OOC is the first step to a healthy IC!~

Anyways, yes, we are currently full and everyone who has expressed interest has posted something in the OOC, in fact we're only missing two peoples CS's, then we can start. Sorry, but if a spot opens, then I'll shoot ya a PM~

I can wait.

Also, Litwick evolutionary line is best Ghost-type.

Hi! Well, I'm just the co-GM, but I'm pretty sure our GM is asleep, so... yup. I'll just answer you for now.

Unfortunately, this RP literally just got off the ground (it hasn't even been 24 hours since we put up the OOC) and everyone who's reserved a spot posted something since it's been up. And yeah, we're basically full. I mean, we bumped up the number of people we're accepting (twice!), and we're STILL full.

So... yeah. We're really sorry! We'd love to have you, but there's just not enough space. However, if someone does drop out, and our numbers fall below the range that Rune wants us to be in, then rest assured, you're the first one we'll call!

Talk about being active. The OOC board just jumped three pages when I was asleep. >.>

Most of the RPs I am aren't extremely fast-paced.
If there are players who are joining or reserving this RP but haven't posted for extended amounts of time (which is honestly likely since it happens in every RP), can I make an app?

I'm considering taking the spot for 4th Gym Leader as well if I ever get in with a standard Trainer.

I guess it depends on the screen size. I tend to get frustrated after pressing one nanometer too far from the key and hitting a different one for the 15th time.

That doesn't generally happen unless my fingers are wet, and the only real problem with typing on the phone is that it's not easy to scroll down the screen, so I have to proofread and edit beforehand.
