About Me

Don't listen to what my profile says, I haven't been here for seven years (or whatever it says). I actually 'joined' on 19th Feb 2015, which makes it almost five years!

I'm not too confident in myself, but I like most of the things I write so I count that as a pass. Even less confident about interacting with people online (how do you read reactions and emotions through only text and know for certain if you haven't actually pissed off the other person or weirded them out or???) but I give it a shot from time to time 'cause I like role playing and that evens out. I've only just gotten back into it after a couple years, though, so I'm taking one RP at a time.

(also hey a somewhat decent description of me instead of a one-liner, that's nice)
Preferences

Fine with most things. More specifically, uncomfortable with smut and slash, incompetent at historical genres (okay I can write it passably with research but I just wanna write and not think too much about it), and totally in love with fantasy, sandbox and slice of life. Granted, fantasy does hand out free headaches with all the rules and things needed to have worldbuilding with solid foundations, but at least you get to describe cool, flashy magic, right?
Others

I love cats. Also a Muslim. Think that's about it.

i have a character very similar to yours @Night_ Star

would anyone, including you, object to such a character being introduced, with more modest "abilities"?

Nope! I'm perfectly fine with it.

The WorldWeaver (me, basically; similar to Authoress)

Oh, the Authoress isn't based off myself, if that's what you're implying. Unless you meant that the WorldWeaver's similar to the Authoress, in which case that would be interesting to see.

Lol, it's fine. The Restaurant is a bit weird too in that you can just order whatever whenever wherever (assuming there's someone to take your order, 'course).

Does that mean John's not there 24/7, then? Where does he go?

EDIT: If anyone's confused, the Authoress is pretending to be another character, or rather, someone she's not.
It's one of her tactics to "create stories".

The Authoress

She'd heard of this particular dimension. The Authoress peered at the sign in front of her. If she could feel anything, she would be mildly amused. Or perhaps not. Perhaps she would be horrified at the prospect of the End of the Universe. As it was, she did not feel anything as she stepped away from the sign, eyeing the rest of the place. It had only been a minute ago (at least, in this particular dimension) when she had stepped through a particular portal in the Randomer that she'd dismissed far too many times before finally deciding to approach. What she'd found was unexpected but not surprising in the least. She's been to stranger places.

There didn't seem to be many patrons. Nor were there any characters of which caught her interest immediately. The balance here was maintaining equilibrium; she had no need to work just yet. She wouldn't mind having a break. Time was abundant for her, anyway.

Shoving her hands into her cardigan's pockets, she debated heading for the bar or settling down at one of the many empty tables. She didn't make a habit of interacting with characters unless she was creating one of her stories manually but she also knew that interaction led to events and events meant more stories taking place. With that thought, she went over to the bar, sitting down a seat away from the woman suited in armour.

"May I have a coffee?" she said. Though her tone was polite, her disinterested expression made her seem somewhat bored. "I'll have it black."
Name: The Authoress

Species: Human

Age: Biologically 16, but mentally? Well...time hasn't mattered to the Authoress since she came into existence.

Appearance: About 1.6 meters tall, with light brown hair that stops short above her shoulders. Usually wears a dark blue cardigan and a neutral expression.

Personality: She's emotionally-detached - that is, she is quite literally unable to feel most emotions. There is the occasional confusion or curiousity but they are, more often than not, severely diluted. She does hold an appreciation for stories, in every sense of the word.

History: As far as she can remember, she's always been 16. She holds no knowledge of her real name, her background, familial or otherwise, or even the dimension she originally came from. In her mind, she has no 'history' or 'future' - time becomes pointless when she can travel into any dimension, to any point in the timestream, whenever she wants. All she knows is that her job as the Embodiment of Restraint, is to maintain balance in the multiverse. Of course, she isn't against manipulating the flows of dimensions to her will - or "creating stories" as she calls them - and it helps that she has nearly every power in the universe.

How did you get here?: By casually popping in through the Randomer, of course.

Brief description of the world your character came from: The Authoress doesn't belong to any dimension in particular but that doesn't mean she's a wanderer. There is a plane of existence which resides somewhere in between dimensions, an infinite whitespace of sorts, a mirrored box with its surface area perpetually pulsing with a sort of mystical energy. Gateways or portals, as some call them, open up on the walls, the floors, and even the ceiling without any definite order to them; hence the name "Randomer". The Authoress is still in the process of studying the workings of that particular place but it has proven difficult even with her abilities. Because of this, she has theorised that it may not be a part of the multiverse, that perhaps the plane that it resides on allows it to exist as an entirely separate setting from the variety of realities of the multiverse. Whatever the case, it's the closest thing she has to a home.
Holy baloney, I'm hooked. I'm in the middle of my exam week though so I'll hopefully drop off a character sheet tonight (or at the end of the week lmao).

EDIT: So I ended up doing both my char sheet and first post - yippee! Also, I've never ordered coffee in my life so idk if I'm doing it right (also p sure you don't order coffee at a bar? But the Authoress doesn't care lmao).

The Authoress refers to people as characters sometimes, since life, to her, is essentially a collection of stories.
Ugh, guh, my post is so short. >.< It's been a while. ;u; Hoo boy, can't wait to get this rolling again!
Energy Twinkle

"Yeep!" It was only thanks to her own quick reflexes that she managed to maintain her grip on the tattered spell scroll in her hand, her free hand wrapping around Rhys' shoulders as she was promptly lifted up in the air, through the treetops, and - above them? She stared at the unbreaking spread of green whizzing past their feet. Tension forgotten, a guffaw escaped her, developing into ecstatic laughter as a wide grin spread over her face.

"I've-" She broke off in a giggle, before calming down enough to try again. "I've never seen the forest from this angle," she said, her voice breathless. She shifted her gaze to the bright flames enveloped around her friend's feet before lifting accusing eyes to Rhys, though they contrasted with her playful grin.

"I didn't know you could do that!"

An enraged screech from behind made her ears twitch and she twisted her head over her shoulder, her eyes widening.

"Uh...were the forest birds always that big?"
@Weird Tales
Chill, if there's nobody posting in less than a day or even a couple of days, it doesn't mean the RP'S dying. Not everyone can be on 24/7. ;)

@DocTachyon
I'm still interested but I'm only halfway through my CS. Just letting ya know. ^w^
Oh! Wait, so the girl with the luminescent hair is Diana? Ah...my bad. I'd initially thought you'd thrown a random NPC at me who I could use. ^.^"

So, does that mean I'll have to wait for you to reply with Diana after I post? Just checking. :3
Ohohohoh.

Yes.

Me likey this. =3
Gah! I'm sorry! My Internet derped and I accidentally double-posted and I don't know how to delete the second post. >.<"

EDIT: Well...I edited it and removed the original repeated post. Looks much better now. =D
