"Character quote"
Gender: gender
Age: age
History: Write at least 3 paragraphs for your character's history. This must include upbringing, where they've lived most of their lives, and what they've done so far (roughly, details not necessary).
Heredity: Pureblood Bluestones are more likely to be selected to succeed their father. However it is possible to make halfblood Bluestones that are half from a different family. This can be used as a cause de jure to explain a different skill set or entirely different upbringing. You must however explain your exact relationship to the clans chieftain. I.e. they are your uncle, you are their brother, you are their 3rd daughter etc.
Characteristics: We're starting off with a simple 5 dot system. If you have 5 dots you are a virtuoso, if you have less, then not so much. You cannot have less than 1 dot minimum. You start with 15 dots to share out between the following characteristics.
Intellectual: Representing; Memory, Perception, Creativity, Strategy
Physical: Representing; Strength, Toughness, Agility, Endurance, Maximum health points
Defense: Aptitude at protection
Offense: Aptitude at attacking
Style Points: Representing; Charisma, Fellowship, Animal Magnetism, Luck (yes in Hardholder you can literally survive better in the apocalypse by being stylish)
Wealth: Starts at 2000 dollars US stipend. (
Cannot be increased by dots, only in game actions. Any equipment that is available on the internet for purchase you can reasonably own.)
Complications:You can add an additional dot to any characteristic by taking a complication. Complications are activated by the GM, whenever he feels like it and it WILL happen at the worst possible time.
Skills:Insert 5 skills here. These are the 5 things that you do so well it is like a
flow state for you. They are more than just education or hard-won experience, they are what makes you special. Choose them well because they cannot be changed, except for pursuing an in game quest. When doing this particular skill, you enter 'flow state', and your action is much more likely to be completed. You might want to give a que to the rest of the group that you are in flow state by repeating your favorite quote from above, i say "might".
Profession:Everyone in Niverrock has to prove themselves useful to the community. Infact there is so little money, food and fuel that people who cannot contribute are generally exiled. Dollars are never used, but gold and barter are much more common. So i ask you to pick a job. This is actually quite important when completing quests as you can choose to either go on an exploration quest with the group, or you can focus on growing your business and/or acquiring some form of equipment with your job. I leave the job title up to your imagination, but in general, shy away from overly specialized jobs such as accountant or statistician. Example jobs include: Trapper, Saloon Owner, Medicine man/woman, Mechanic (aka Smith), Town Guard, Cult Preacher, Merchant etc.
Weapons: Bought from your wealth stipend
Gear/Tools: Bought from your wealth stipend
