Name: Maria Farrah, manager and shop keeper of Maria's Medicines and Sundries
Race: Human
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Appearance: 5'5", slim build, soft brown eyes, unmarked olive skin, dark brown wavy hair that reaches past her shoulder blades when let down, but is normally tied in a loose, messy bun. Stands with upright posture, but walks with a world-wary stride.
Clothing: Favors simple outfits, modest necklines, neutral or dark colored blouses and surcoats. No Jewelry, save for a necklace with a wedding ring in rather pitiable condition around her neck.
Weapons: Stolen from her blacksmith father is a masterfully cast forearm length dagger, which she keeps behind the shop counter. As a masterful crafter of potions (labelled as herbal medicine of course), she is also a very skilled poison synthesist. Normally, she will not carry either of these on her person.
Alignment: Neutral Good
Skills: Not particularly skilled in using said dagger, and received no martial training. Possesses mild blacksmith ability, and high medical proficiency.
Magic: She has retained a spellbook that allows her to imbue her medicines with magical restorative power. However, in the weaker magical climate of Waeldeshore, it's usually too much effort to synthesize potions that can instantly heal major injuries. Most of her medicines generally speed up recovery from illness, and cure mildly dangerous diseases. She takes care not to allow her patrons to know that she uses the spellbook, and instead claims that she cultivates rare herbs from a far away land.
Backstory: The daughter of a blacksmith, Maria fell in love with an Elf in her youth, abandoning her family to marry him and live on Silver Lilly Isle. There they settled down, and started a family with a son named Jason. Several years later, Maria woke up one morning to find that her husband had disappeared without a trace, and an army was advancing towards their home. War had broken out on the island. In the carnage, Maria fled with her young son to Waeldeshore, seeking safe haven. When the war finally subsided and her husband was nowhere to be found, Maria settled down in Waeldeshore, and set up a medical shop in the town, using a spellbook from her husband's collection to augment the herbs.
At the time of the RP's start, Maria has gained quite the reputation as an incredibly skilled healer, and has earned the goodwill of many regular customers. She lives in the town with her half elf son Jason, who is now 9 years old, but has still not yet learned how to talk. Recent events in the town have put her on edge, though she figures that all the commotion should die down soon enough. Despite all of her mind's reasoning, she still believes in her heart that her husband is still alive and will one day return.
