Rose was gone. Not that the old lady had much to offer but apparently she instilled courage into some of her less competent teammates so her presence was to be missed. Thermo was extremely suspicious, coming in acting like a leader like that; luckily Evan decided to stick Thermo's ass into the ground and knock a little humility into him. Letting him up so he could speak for himself.
"Rose left. She quit the team. I searched for her all night and got nothing. I'm sorry, but like I said. We can talk about it more on the way there. We can't waste anymore time," Thermo explained himself, starting to walk away before adding one more thing. "And another thing. Don't. Ever. Tackle. Me. Again." When he said it, Ariel clamped her hand over her mouth, stifling the giggling at Thermo's threat. What a LOSER.
Next it was Evan's turn to freak out, and he did it an in equally bullheaded self-righteous fashion. He took an elevator as Accelerate arrived. The Titans weren't looking good for a team that was supposed to be fighting a zombie invasion.
Finally it was Ariel's turn to freak out when a fraction of the horde charged into the hangar in a frighteningly unorganized chaotic frenzy. "Holy shit!" she glanced at the T-Wing which was currently being usurped by the horde. "I'll be right back! I swear!!" Ariel promised the team as water shot from inside the tower and into the hangar — a combination of sink faucets, pools, and any other source of water you could think of — forming a wave that Whirlpool rode out of the hangar and into the outside air. She was nearly overwhelmed by the undead, luckily the wave managed to bounce them off on her way out.
Whirlpool exited the Tower's vicinity and was hurtling uncontrollably towards the ground in a somersault fashion. It took seconds for her to focus on the large bodies of water around her. She felt a tug in her gut and right after that she was met by a friendly giant waterspout that she'd just formed that was keeping her aloft. "This is more like it," she grinned as water formed sharp tentacles next to her, coming up like slithery serpents from the surface and flanking her sides as she ascended to the hangar.
Zombies in the hangar started getting speared, impaled, and grabbed from behind by "deadly water tentacles", being effectively killed on the spot or being effortlessly launched back out of the hangar at high speeds where the impact of wherever they landed would surely kill them. Ariel smirked with pride as she continued to work the horde with her water weapons. "Cool water pun!" she yelled, trying to sound as bored as possible. Just another day in the office. For sure.
