This would be a good opportunity to do whatever you wish my dear! Like wobble!

The interest check is up right now.

Once I have enough people that I want, I'll relaunch the ooc. Nothing is really change for us who are committed to this. The post expectation is now two weeks, though. It's just a fresh start, a chance to continue with us or move on without any pressure. This place, to me, feels very slow and without interest. That and the characters tab, and IC, are muddled with inactive participants.

Idk, I just want a fresh start on things. I don't like how the progress of this is turning out.
It means this is closed.

And I'm launching a new int check. and a new ooc. I plan to pick up right where we left off.
Public Notice: The OOC/IC in my signature is a good source of information, but that particular one is going to close. With the relaunch, I'm going to make a new OOC/IC.

Synopsis
The Dust is a Post-Apocalyptic roleplay which has already been going for a few months now. The World is divided up with different factions, on an island continent with no foreseeable way off. This is explained vaguely in the lore. In fact, mostly everything is explained because I have it all written down. The factions, some history, many of the "cities and towns" have a resume style information sheet, while still leaving some undone for player interpretation. There will be a creature compendium, for player created characters, the template of which is very simple. In fact, mostly everything is readily available. I'm planning to pick up where I left off, as this is a relaunch intended to gain a fresh start. So currently, there are a couple things going on. All in all though, you can basically do anything you want in this world.

The Idea
I want you to have creative freedom in this world, only constrained by the need for balancing against my unrevealed story and lore, and well, power. Here our main character, I allow multiples, is going to be a superpowered human called an Immortal. The usage of their powers puts strain on the heart, because mana is for tabletops. The Immortals are further explained in my lore, but that is the basic idea of them. When thinking about superpowers thing of one element, or one scope. You can't be a fire wielding master of illusions and healing. Immortals also have a shapeshifter form, though it is not required that you do so. It does come with a very hefty power increase though, so it is recommended. Combat oriented players with likely get a combative form. Characters with say, a social focus, are more complicated. The combat form isn't the most beautiful, and immediately labels one as a monster. So for socially focused, or otherwise non-combative, characters I was thinking maybe just an enhanced state of being. Eyes-turn black and enhanced powers, etc, but ultimately it is up to you as a player.

Current Events
I feel you need to know these before jumping in. The central city of the island is a trade hub, and the more accepting of the Immortal's. It's also about to be under siege from a horde of hollow spiderlings. What happens to the city is entirely going to be because of player made decisions, at least those involved in the event. Secondly, I have a character starting a new faction at a small, brutally murdered town. Don't worry, the bodies have been cleaned up already. And in the unseen workings of the roleplay, a Mafia family has a firm hold over Serenity, and is looking to expand into Russel, where they currently maintain a small presence. Public tolerance of Immortals is also very low, most viewing them as monsters and demons and quite rightly being very afraid of them.

So I am very seriously considering a relaunch of this, with a different rate of expected posts.

Bobert, I am pleased with. (13 days ago)

Hatter, I am pleased with. (18 days ago, collab with me.) (Also I can confirm currently writing a post.)

Darcs and Mono, I am pleased with. (17 days ago)

Churro, I am not so pleased with. In three months you've only made three posts.

CalltheCops, the last time I heard from Bento was 2 months ago.

Listen, I understand life gets in the way at times. I have a busy life too. Since this began four months ago I have made 12/49 posts. (About to be 13/50) That's about 25% of our IC. (Admittedly a few of those were collabs, but bear with me.) On top of that I have compiled an extensive information database, with minor help. (Also Darcs did a decent chunk with cities and that religion.) Is your interest waning? Do you not feel the need to post? Your life is so busy, yet Dust isn't the only thing you're involved with. Take on more than you can chew and somebody's toes are going to get stepped on. Dust is the ONLY thing I have, the only thing I need.

That's why I'm going to relaunch it. I'm done with this "post as you need" order. I'm done with this inactivity. If you're not whole heartedly interested in this and ready to make good on your commitment then don't come.

@CallTheCops I'm done waiting for you. Thank you for your time and participation.

In fact. I'll just relaunch this right now. As of this moment this rp is closed.

Time for a fresh start.

@Monochromatic Rainbow

@Lightning Fast

The "secret" (but you may have guessed it) outcome of the event is to permanently turn Russel City into ground zero for hollow spiders. This is the worst outcome scenario, provided with what few Immortals that are left in Russel cannot stop the spiders.

"But Aeon," You ask, your eyes watering as your body begins to tremble, "What does it mean?"

It means that cutting through the middle of the island is a death sentence, completely and utterly fucking up trade routes.

It means that a drought will fall upon the southern area of Dust until a new water line can be ran circumventing Russel City.

It means no more trade hub, the Russel economy will crash creating a backlash of poverty so far widespread even the Edenites will feel it.

It will be the birth of ground zero, a blight. One that will continue to grow and spread until it is destroyed, or all of Dust is consumed. It will be the re-beginning of the end. It will be the start of a second apocalypse.

Good lord, and it's only Day 2.

I have a checklist, and should a certain number of these items meet or exceed the requirement, Russel will be forever gone. I will PM this checklist to one of you, so that you understand I am not just waving my magical GM wand of death and destruction. That person is to remain anonymous, and should I ever feel that any of the items were intentionally shared from that list.

I will fuck shit up.

Speaking of Day 2. I am now implementing a temporary time frame due to inactivity. You all have 2 weeks to conclude your days before I begin day 3.
Ya'll are so close, can't you just taste victory?

It's like.. you're on the right path but something is Hidden ;)
