@Willem3141592 Accepted, but just out of curiosity, do you mean he's 6'1? Because 6'11 is 2.1 meters, 1.86 is 6'1. Just not sure which one is the typo xD
@LetMeDoStuff Sweet. It'll give the other folks time to poke and swish and shoot.
With the group's concentrated efforts, they seemed to be prevailing over the demon horse. Gaius had blinded it, and the young Samurai came to the front lines to abate its assault. A strange energy engulfed the horse, dimming its flames, and the girl with the bat and a blue power ranger combined their efforts to knock it to the ground. Hope glimmered in the Sundancer's heart.

But the flames, though dimmed, left their mark on the baseball girl. Sputtering blood, she fell unconscious, and Theo hissed a curse. But the beast did not stay down long enough, not nearly. It threw itself back to its feet, shaking away the shadow around its face and erupting in a geyser of flame, free from the magic that had inhibited it. Then it turned to a distant hill, readying to charge.

"It's running away!?" Theo yelled out. He turned his head to the hill, and that's when he saw it. Something that wasn't there before. A small shine, the tiny reflection on the lens of a scope. It was the ally who had stunned it earlier.

Before Theo had time to think, the fire streaked across the plains once again, straight up the hill with unbelievable speed. In a fraction of a second it was gone. And then there was a burst of blue, another lightning bolt, and a crack echoing across the sky. The demon fell, flames extinguished, but before it was a small shadow, thrown over the hill's crest.

Theo ran. He ran to the hill as hard as he could, as if trying to outrun the fear he had for the life of their companion, the one who had been trying to protect them. His sword held in both hands trailing behind him, he was running faster than he knew how, than he ever had before.

Why? He thought. Why the HELL did you single him out, you bastard!? Still faster he went, wind tearing past his ears. Even the hill presented no challenge, his legs carrying him confidently upward, towards the heavens. One foot after another, a blur of speed, and he reached the top, the demon only a dozen feet away. He leapt.

Theo soared through the air in his newfound momentum, blade held ready to thrust into the fallen beast, and something shone off his armor, a grand glow of orange and pink and blue in the distance. The sun was rising.

The Sundancer plunged, screaming. Ray, his curved sword, parted the demon's flesh tip-first, falling half way into its body. The demon screeched as Theo landed atop it, kicking off and ripping his blade out in one motion.

The Sundancer took stance between the sniper and the demon horse, blade ready. In the rising sun, his robes and armor seemed more gold than white, and he himself almost seemed to glow at a distance. Even his dark hair and eyes seemed lighter as he challenged the beast with his stare. But the monster wasn't finished.

"Hey," Theo said to the sniper without taking his gaze from the horse. The man still seemed to be conscious. "Think you can drop it one more time? We'll keep it off your back." He knew what they could do, now, together. The demon would not rise again.

Sif Kollson

Age: 28

Gender: Male

Personality: Sif is blunt, irritable, and withdrawn. He is quick to anger and quite boisterous, and though he does not usually share his opinions, he does so loudly. He is fairly narrow-minded and introverted, stubborn in his ways and often refuses help or advice from others. Sif isn't the most intelligent of people, though not without a street-level cunning, and does not perform very well in a learning environment when tasked with repetition and memorization. Some of the few things he does enjoy are drinking and brawling, and perhaps surprisingly, he has a soft spot when it comes to children and animals, his disposition changing dramatically.

History: Sif enjoyed a time of publicity after The War. He was the leader in one of the final battles, the one in the Canadian tundra, and one of many. However, this was the closest to his hometown, and so he was celebrated. He was appointed as a high-ranking officer in the task force dedicated to eliminating the last of the invaders. He was given a home, food, clothes, vehicles, anything he desired, all for free in the lack of a structured world.

Everything he did was for Vretiel. She was his best friend. And when it was time to rebuild humanity, Sif suddenly found himself without work and under a massive pile of bills. Mortgage, car insurance, loans - after all, the things he was given had belonged to somebody once, and proper order had to be restored. Before long, he had nothing. And that was when they took Vretiel away.

She was not from this world. She was of another race, the race that had begun the war and allowed youth to develop strange powers, powers other men couldn't harness. And so they hurt her, changed her, tortured her to replicate that gift - and she died in the process.

Sif spent his next years wandering. He could often be found in alleyways, bars, under bridges. Most of his money was earned the only way he knew how - by fighting. Underground hero fighting pits were lucrative, but consecutive injuries eventually knocked him out of the ring, and he resorted to violent crime, eventually becoming a sort of public menace.

The people gave him a choice. Either rot in a maximum security prison, facing possible execution, or attend a center where he would be taught to integrate with society. He chose the latter, and found himself at the PLC.

Abilities: Most of Sif's abilities stemmed from Vretiel, and without her he is weakened.

Nightblade - By holding a knife or similar-sized object, Sif gains remarkable control over it. A black energy stems from his hand to the object and allows him to will it to act on its own. He can throw it with deadly accuracy and return it afterward to his hand, or wield it with inhuman speed.

Sleepwalk - Sif can move instantly across shadows, concealing his presence. He becomes insubstantial and can slip through the smallest cracks, so long as the light level is less than 1.0lx (moonlight).

Hel's Gate - Sif can open an energy channel to the other world within himself, engulfing his body in darkness. He can hardly control himself in this state, but gains immense physical ability and an immunity to pain.

Demon Eyes - When activating this ability, anybody who looks directly into Sif's eyes finds themselves compelled to speak their heart. This is difficult to use, as even clear glass will cancel the effect in Sif's weakened state.

Belongings: A black leather jacket, several knives, a flask.
Primas is a school in some shitty little town, far off the beaten path and away from civilization proper. A tiny place, looks like it used to be a hospital or something. Built by the few people who actually give a shit about us, it doesn't have a lot of resources. A shitty little school in a shitty little town.

We used to be called heroes. Unexplainable things started happening around the world, and we stepped up to fix it. It was the first time it had ever been seen - we developed strange abilities, and used them to fight back against invading forces. A lot of us died. Some of us lived. We saved the world. The ungrateful fucking world. So what did they do? Some of us got locked up. Some went missing. Experimented on, studied, whatever. When they discovered that our abilities couldn't be explained, replicated or harnessed, they tossed us to the curb and told us not to do anything stupid.

You know how much that fucks you up, living through an apocalypse when you're that age? Most people went on their normal lives. Rebuilt civilization back to it's old shitty self. Not us. We were dragged around by our hair for years. We were only kids, so we missed a big chunk of what makes you functional in this world. Before we knew it, we were all grown up, minor celebrities. Not many people wanted anything to do with us, and once they abandoned us, we still needed to eat. Can't mooch off your parents forever. Some of us got minimum wage jobs. Is that what you get for saving the world? Working at a fucking Walmart?

So one day we're contacted by Primas. Telling us they 'care', and they want to help us fit back in with society. So here we are. Finishing fucking high school so we can go on to be good little consumers. What a joke.

WELCOME TO THE PLC

The Primas Learning Center is on the grounds of the discontinued Colkirk General Hospital, making it a spacious and comfortable place for learning.

The Primas Learning Center is a school for adults, who were once adolescent victims of The War, based in the town of Colkirk, Montana. The PLC first became a necessity eleven years ago, in 2004, when strange forces invaded our world and our children, developing the necessary abilities to defeat the invaders, became our guardians.

When the dust settled and The War was over, many of our youth needed to assimilate back into their old lives. We provide the lessons and resources necessary to help our students complete their education, find employment and, most importantly, come to terms with their lives and fit in with society. We have highly skilled psychologists to cope with post-traumatic stress and a physical education program that teaches students how to control their abilities.

The faculty has come together at the PLC because it truly cares about the victims of The War. Each staff member is fully willing and able to meet the needs of their students. We look forward to meeting you. Please contact us today.

@Cuccoruler No worries. If they don't post before too long, though, you should just redirect yourself.
@Tyrant from the West All aboard the hype train. Join away my friend. My method is usually to grab as many as I can because we will doubtlessly lose two or three right off the bat.
