Remember kids, never let anyone convince you to take college physics over the summer! :'D
Bella cleaned lockers almost as if her life depended on it. She was mostly in charge of moving the large trash bin closer to the others so that it wouldn't be a hassle to get rid of trash. When she wasn't doing that, she was busying herself with getting rid of the gum that people oh so generously decided to leave on said lockers, while also attempting to ignore the lonely feeling in her gut with Hoppi not being with her. Fortunately, and before she even knew it, they were free to go home. The girl wasted no time skating down to where she left her Kwami, and upon spotting her as well as the three others, Bella slowed down and watched nervously. It looked like they were playing a game and while she didn't want to interrupt, she'd rather have Hoppi by her side. "H-Hoppi..." She murmured faintly and thanks to the other's sharp hearing, was able to hear her. "Oh, over here! Over here!" She shouted excitedly as Bella complied, rushing into her hand once she was close enough. "The others are coming too right? I don't want to leave until everyone's with their partner." "Y-Yeah, they'll be h-here in a bit..." Bella responded before giving each Kwami a weary glance.
Thank you! You guys all seem really nice already! I'll join the Discord once I'm on my laptop ^^. Just as a warning though, I'm not much of a talker on there (I'm actually really shy and nervous to, sorry \(>///<)/ ) so if I'm really quiet on there, that's why.
Also, where would be a good place to jump in, or should I just make an introductory post and go from there?
Omg, you're right I kinda forgot about that lmao It'll definitely be fun indeed :'D
Yeah, I didn't want to kill them either, they were all so cool <3 and it really is though, definitely shows how much they really care about you, even though you technically aren't related to any of them (or at least I heard you aren't)?
Identity: Secret, thos she does tell Caelum once she becomes more comfortable with her 'job'.
Character Personality: Arista is a perfectionist at heart, a trait that bleeds into both of her personas. She's an idealist who wishes for things to be a certain way, and easily gets distressed when they are not. She holds herself and others to unrealistically high standards, and gets distressed when these standards are not met as well. This leads to her being self-deprecating - because she doesn't meet her own standards - and critical of others - because those others do not meet her standards. Arista wishes to learn and to understand, to know the details of every little thing, because to be ignorant is to stray from perfection. She isn't content to just accept things the way that they are. This leads to her being an over-analytical, neurotic worrier. Very stubborn, because she tries very hard to stick to her own carefully considered views and standards of perfection, and is not easily shifted from this path.
She can be pretty pessimistic and assumes the worst due to these unrealistic standards. She thinks and plans before she acts; she isn't the type who will resort to rash, impulsive behavior, and will panic if she can't plan in advance. When it comes to intimacy, it's easier for her to reject and hate things than it is for her to love and embrace them. Her interests and tastes are picked carefully, and she gives a lot of attention to each one, and holds them close to her heart, rather than having many fleeting interests that change quickly and often. She argues using reason, evidence, logic, and explanations, delivered analytically or with pleading. She only argues to set wrongs right, rather than to assert dominance.
Arista responds poorly to compliments, often 'rebutting' them by saying that she's not so great after all. She's an idealist, who imagines perfect fantasies and feels upset when things don't live up to these fantasies. She's extremely introverted that comes from her perfectionism. Once she has someone to talk to in a quiet and relaxed environment, she can talk a lot and will enjoy sharing thoughts and ideas. Prefers having a few close friends to many acquaintances and is moved deeply by beauty, and by distress. She is very easily hurt, because of her perfectionist tendencies, responding to things that she dislikes with misery and with tears rather than with rage. Very slow to 'snap', but will hold onto emotions for a very long time. She's not exactly aggressive, but more wishes to flee from things that cause them distress but doesn't stray from what she wants.
Uniform/costume: See picture. As well as her normal clothing, from pjs to a revamped version of one of her old school uniforms, but tends to stick to solid black colors if she's prepared. With all these outfits, she normally wears a black cap of sorts with a diamond emblem in the front (it also being what most people know her for), the same design as the tattoo on the nape of her neck.
Origin Info/Details:Arista was born into a rather normal family...well as normal as it could get. Being the middle child of Eun-ji and Samuel Joy, as well as the only girl, Arista definitely had a lot to watch and learn from the Korean-America family she was placed into. She was often pushed to the side by her parents because she was the least out of the three to cause any problems for them. And with that mindset being shoved into her brain for as long as she could remember, Arista striven to keep it that way. She focused on her studies, how she was looked at within the general public, and did her best to remain out of trouble for the sake of her parents being too busy with Eun and Adam.
Because of her upbringing, Arista was always seen as the one on the top of the food chain at school. The most popular, pretty, and smartest queen bee everyone was looking at. This didn't come without some attitude from the girl due to her perfectionist tendencies, but also didn't keep her from having friends. Her first was Caelum, someone of similar 'status' as her. They hit it off quite quickly and became best friends in a matter of days meeting up in high school. Second was Sage, who was a part of the student council at her school, starting out as a feud and ending with them becoming pretty good friends upon seeing where their interests lie.
It would also be these friends who eventually tell her that she might be a little too perfect for her own good, something that of course made Arista confused as to how she could make herself better by being less perfect. The three try to come up with ways to bring Arista closer to Earth, even getting Eun and Adam to help out, but it seemed to mostly be in vain...until one day she stops upon a fancy looking tattoo parlor on her way home.
She had never seen the place before, even on her walks to and from school, so it was definitely a large sight for her to behold. Curiosity getting the better of her, the girl steps in, only to see a young man behind one of the tattoo chairs, like she's waiting for her. He asked her if she would like a tattoo free of charge, and Arista was about to decline before her mind went back to 'bringing herself closer to Earth'. A tattoo would be cool right? And technically it was an imperfection on her skin, so that count?
Taking the risk, Arista chose to get a tattoo, the shape of a bold black diamond on the nape of her neck, something simple that she could hide with her hair. At first she thought nothing really of it, but once she woke up the next morning, things were definitely weird. She had more tattoos on her body, but they were different pictures of other things in her room. In order to get down to the bottom of it, Arista returned back to the tattoo parlor and confronted the man in hopes he could explain what was going on, and that he did, introducing himself as Dee and that they would working together from now on. With no real say on the situation, Arista was pulled into the supernatural world with Dee and his unknown motives...
Who would've thought a impromptu trip to the tattoo parlor would lead to this?
Hero Type: Shapeshifter
Power Level: City
Powers: Arista has the power to store objects of any shape or kind inside of her body, so long as they aren't bigger than her body. For example, if she were to store a knife, she'd push the weapon into her forearm and allow it to sink into her body. Once she's done so, a tattoo of said item will appear where she placed it, in this case her forearm. She can store as many things as she wants inside of her so long as there's space on her skin; no overlapping of tattoos.
Another ability of her's is digesting the DNA of a specific person or animal to be able to shift into them for 20 minutes, so long as they aren't bigger than herself. She can even store parts of her own body inside of her to add on traits from other animals and people. For example, she can store her ears in favor of cat ears.
Attributes:
Height: 5' 4" Weight: 103 lbs Strength Level: Normal Human (Varies with Shapeshifting) Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 40 MPH (Varies with Shapeshifting) Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 3 Hours Agility: 10x (Varies with Shapeshifting) Intelligence: Genius Fighting Skill: Mastered Resources: Average, with Dee, she has some pretty decent resources up her sleeve.
Weaknesses:Arista only has so much space on her body that she can use to store items and can easily be stopped by metal detectors and the sort if she has anything like that on her. Shrinking herself self down to smaller sizes doesn't shrinks the items on her body. This could lead to intense pain if she isn't paying attention to it. Not to mention she's only human...

A sleepy sigh escaped the dark beige haired teen's mouth as she rolled over in bed, reaching a hand out from under the covers to grab the vibrating phone on her dresser. Once she slid the device under the blankets to get a view of who was calling, as well as what time it was, Arista honestly thought it was a joke. Making a quick attempt to roll her squinted eyes, the young girl answered her phone as painfully slow as she could.
"How the fuck did you get my phone number...and how did I get yours..." She slurred, the comment coming out more as a statements then questions. "I thought you would be glad to hear from me~" It really did irk her that the man sounded wide awake...just what was he doing at a time like this exactly? "It's like 4:00am, and a school night...morning...you know what I mean. What...what do you want..." She groaned in response, letting out a yawn in the process. And what followed was silence...for quite a while too. At first she thought it was because the other was trying to be petty and keep her up all night, but what he said next made the girl almost fall out of bed.
"You know, you sound pretty cute when you're tired."
"I'm 16 you pedo!" The girl instantly retaliated, finally sitting up in bed now that she was fully away. One of her birds, Licht, and also the closest to her best out of the five, looked over with wide eyes at her little outburst. "I'd keep it down if I were you. You're suppose to keep our conversations as private as possible. I didn't make this private line just for you to screw it up." Dee hummed, much too cheerily for Arista's liking. "..." Thankfully, her family either ignored or failed to hear her yelling, which was both a good and bad thing in her eyes, but she chose not to dwell on it as her attention was focused back on the phone call. "Anyways, I need you to come to the parlor, I got a job for you that needs to be completed tonight and you're the only one on my list that can take care of it." Arista squinted at this as she slowly stepped out of bed, the wooden floor underneath her creeking slightly as she walked over to her closet. "Why do I feel like you're just saying that--" "Come on now, enough talk, you time is my money. We can just talk once you get here." Ans with that, he hung up.
Frowning deeply at the turn of events, the bird hoarder quickly put together some black clothes from her things and swiftly put it on. She couldn't exactly say she was use to doing this type of thing, but she definitely knew for sure that she'd be a zombie come the next few hours when she had to get ready for school... Once she felt as if she was ready to head out into the dark city surrounding her both symbolically and literally, Arista glanced back at the closet and retrieved the hat Dee had given her to help mask her face. Not really finding it that helpful but knowing that the deranged tattoo artist would be expecting her to wear it, the long haired girl grabbed it, but didn't put it on just yet. That was for when she was fully outside.
After ensuring her phone was somewhere tattooed on her body, Arista then pulled out some used rope that started from her shin, and ended at her hip bone. The actual feeling of pulling things out of her skin like so was definitely on the more uncomfortable side, but this whole situation was uncomfortable so could she really complain? Once she got the rope completely off of her, the girl proceeded to wrap one end on the bedroom frame and the other hang out the window after she opened it. And being one of the many things she was pretty good at, Arista hopped out the window and onto the ground, using the rope for support. She didn't want to just leave the rope hanging, so she instead hooked the other end to the top of one of the higher windows, that way no normal person could get it without using other tools; not her best fix, but she'd get better at it with time...wait, was he planning to make this a regular thing?
Furrowing her brows at the thought of coming up with a way to get out the house more discretely, Arista hurried down the street, placing her black cap squarely on her head. Goodbye for now Arista, and hello Altair...
Yep, Birthright, Conquest, and a little bit of Revelations (never finished it tho because i couldn't make up a team with how many characters they give us T^T). Not exactly sure what you're getting at with that last sentence, but evil Takumi makes me sad because I actually really like him and he didn't deserve that imo :(
yeah, I've payed Awakening and 2/3 of Fates. They were both pretty fun to play! Oh and I had FE Heroes too, but had to temporarily delete it for another app ^^
"T-There's a hospital a few miles away, but with what you said yesterday, it's already overflowing with people trying to get help. They wouldn't be able to help us anytime soon unless we knew someone there." She said as her eyes remained focused on the convulsing boy in his brother's arms. If only they had access to the internet, it would give them some idea of what to do to relieve Nino's symptoms, but everything around them just seemed to stop working in their favor.
Frowning deeply, Catrina looking up at Giovanni with sad eyes. "We could still take a look since we don't really have anywhere else to go, maybe even check out the a-airport to make sure for ourselves about our...you know, and maybe we could get lucky and have a doctor or nurse look at Nino." It was they only option at this point, but walking around with the still dark sky hanging above them made the girl nervous about all of their safety. Who knows what could be out there just waiting for unsuspecting people to walk by...
It happened in the middle of the night. A blonde boy in his late teens was sleeping peacefully upstairs in his shared room with a girl of similar blonde hair probably a few years younger than the boy. What started off as a low knock at the front door of the unnamed house, quickly turned into a dull fist that sounded like it was trying to punch a hole through said door. The noise didn't seem to reach the safe sanctuary that was their bedroom, however, as the euphoric silence between the door and the opposite wall was only stifled by the quiet breaths of the two assumed siblings.
It was only when the smooth wooden door swung open quickly, that their haven was interrupted by the loud bangs coming from the front door downstairs. Two figures stepped into the dark room immediately after they opened the bedroom door, splitting up to rouse both the boy and the girl. The first one to wake up was the girl, who let out a soft yawn before her ears were berated by the noise coming from downstairs. "Hm... D-Dad? What's that noise?" She slurred, fighting the sleep from taking her over again. Before the figure beside her had a chance to respond, a resounding crack vibrated around the house, with the front entrance being the focal point. This managed to rouse everyone from their sleepy states as now the family of four were all standing and pressed up against the opposite of the wall, staring at the open door, waiting.
The older two knew what was about to fall before them and their family, but the younger duo held looks of bewilderment and confusion, as well as fear due to the unknown. "M-Mom...?" The boy whispered, but was immediately silenced by said woman, who was now holding him close to her. Unable to ask questions and stuck with this sickening feeling that only meant bad news, the siblings' suspense was finally lifted as what stood in front of them was questionable at best.
The first thing that would have caught anyone's eyes would have to be how similar the two strangers entering the bedroom were to each other. Other than their gender, height, and hair length, it looked almost like a mirror reflection of one person. They had the same jet black hair, the woman's much longer than the male's, wine red eyes, and ghostly pale skin that was practically shining in the dark room. They both stood still on either side of the still open door, staring ahead at the family that refused to move.
The woman, despite how tense the atmosphere became with her presence, was smiling politely, dressed in a teal gray hoodie with tight black pants and dark shoes. There was even what looked like an umbrella strapped to her side and something adorned her head, although it was far too dark to tell what it was. She just looked far more relaxed and friendly then her male counterpart.
This guy had a face of steel, practically glaring at the family with folded arms. He was decked out in all black, his most noticeable article of clothing being the trench coat that hung on his shoulders and stopped around his lower shins. His gaze seem to freeze on the boy, who inevitably shrunk back at the sight.
Before either of them had a chance to speak up or say anything, the boy's mother let out a shrill cry of fear, as if her life was at risk. Hell, it probably was.
"NOOOO! PLEASE! I'M BEGGING YOU! D-DON'T TAKE THEM! THEY DON'T DESERVE T-TO BE PUT THROUGH THIS!!! TAKE M-ME INSTEAD! PLEASE! JUST A-ANYONE BUT THEM!!" The boy and girl were forced to watch as their mother let go of the former and dropped haphazardly to her knees, blonde stands of hair sticking out of her messy bun, groveling on the ground in hopes of persuading either of the two not to take her children. Said children could only watch with wide eyes as their mother crumbled before their eyes. Of course they expected their father to jump in and do something, but instead, he kept his daughter close to him, leaving the woman to step over his wife and approach his son, seemingly desensitized by the sight before her.
"You're #$%&* @#$%&*, right?" She questioned looking up and down the blonde boy as he stared back with wide and confused eyes. "I know you must be confused, but we're with the Zodiac Project. I'm sure you've heard about it in class, yeah? We're basically superheroes!" She questioned again, holding a fist up in front of her with another smile, seeming unaware of the boy's mother clawing at her leg.
Well, of course he heard about the Zodiac Project. The Zodiac Project took 88 of the strongest people on Eos and brought them to the 'Promise Land', Kartana, where they trained and inherited the powers of the old via medallions to protect Eos by being sent on missions when there was any danger. It was as simple as that. But what did that have to do with him?
Too nervous to say anything in response, the woman smiled faintly before looking up at the ceiling, apparently recalling something. "#$%&* @#$%&*, male, seventeen years old, born April 10th, Aura Type is Projector, and Aura Color is is predicted to be Red." She recited before looking back at the put off boy. "Congrats! You've been enlisted to join the Zodiac Project as the tenth Aries and under the new name Krios. Sound pretty cool, huh? You'll be assisting us in helping protect Eos!" She concluded proudly before offering a hand.
Despite knowing he had no choice with how he remembered the Zodiac Project worked, the boy looked down at his mother's tearful and saddened expression as she was practically laying on the ground now, over at his father's stern and unreadable face shielding his daughter as if his life depended on it, and lastly at his little sister's wide, bulging eyes staring back at him in a language that all siblings communicated with and were special to just them.
That look. That was all he needed to make the right choice. Make a decision of a lifetime. Start a new beginning for himself...
As a protector of Eos.
Ever so hesitant, the boy took the woman's ghostly hand, much to his mother's anguish. He could tell that she wanted to nothing more than snatch him away from the woman basically telling him to sell his soul to the world they stood on, but one shift that came from the nearby door halted her movements. The man finally lowered his head at the mother just as the woman shook her off of her leg and ushered the blonde boy past his mother and family, down the steps and outside the house, the man following slowly behind. Unfortunately, he wasn't given the luxury to say goodbye or anything really to his parents. He was simply taking away as if he never belonged there in the first place.
Once outside, the boy felt the need to speak up for himself, his eyes locked on his home. "...Wh-Why did you guys pick me?" He questioned as he was practically dragged further and further away from his home, his eyes locked on the horns sticking out of his kidnapper's head. Those...were just for decoration right? Instead of responding right away, the woman let go of his hand and turned back to face him, smiling sadly. "Sorry, if I knew, I would tell you, but we aren't high enough on that social ladder to know ourselves. You shouldn't worry about it too much, as once you're one of us you could always come back as long as you get permission from us. Speaking of us though, it's time for some introductions! Not gonna lie, this is usually the best part that comes from enlisting imo." She grinned widely before reaching into her hoodie from the neck hole, prompting 'Krios' to back up nervously. Within seconds, the girl pulled up a necklace that got lost in her hoodie, showing a cornflower blue medallion with an arrow symbol on it. "I'm the one and only Toxotes of the Sagittarius constellation. We won't be working together often, but we'll still be allies. The pleasure is mine!" She spoke cheerfully despite her cold appearance before looking at the still quiet man who just managed to close in on them. "And this dashing young man is Perseus of the...well, you probably guessed it, Perseus constellation. He isn't one of the main twelve like you and I, but you might see each other around." She explained as said man nodded slowly in the blonde boy's direction before looking away, seemingly done with introductions.
The boy really wanted to ask more, like if he could possibly still go to school with his friends. But seeing as they just plucked him away from the safest place on Eos for him, the boy highly doubted it. Looking at the two that came to pick him up, as well as the honor of becoming a protector of Eos, he could only think that this 'new life' he was about to dive into would certainly be...interesting?

“Haa,” Mie let out a tired sigh, shoulders slumping as she tilted her head to the side. “You’d think, but with all the bandits and general trouble recently, it’s difficult for even an honest merchant to sell anything.” She continued, ear twitching irritably. “Hard for a little innocent fox merchant like myself, for example. Not even my vast amounts of womanly charm could get them to come. Humph. People have no taste these days.” She mused as the rabbit servant could only nod a bit dumbfound at her words, letting the thought trail off for a few seconds before she started speaking again. “So you just gonna let this little fox stand out here in the hot sun all day or are ya gonna be a gentleman and lemme in? I may or may not have some exotic vases Lady Vertti would be interested in!”
And thus the reason she was here came out finally. Not that she was trying to hide it in the first place, really. She was bored and looking both for someone to pester and someone to swindlerelieve of their money do honest business with. That said...it looked like Grisaia was troubled by something...well, it was probably nothing.
The blonde in question squinted in minor confusion, his mind unable to comprehend the events unfolding before him until a moment or so later, leading to him releasing a faint gasp and motioning a pearly gloved hand into the estate. M-My apologies please do come in." He spoke up after quickly clearing his throat. Had he been so lost in thought that he didn't even ask her to come in? Too surprised to think back on it, Grisaia closed the door behind the fox girl who was grinning impishly as she was let inside the house, said girl not taking much notice of Grisaia's confusion or lack of politeness and preventing anymore heat to make its way into the main hall.
"I might not understand the struggles that come with being a merchant, especially one as esteemed as yourself, and I'm sure the Mistress would love to accommodate any of your products to her always growing collection, but...she isn't here right now." He explained as he casually placed his hands behind his back, one clasped inside of the other. He wasn't in the mood to make someone else disappointed in the span of an hour or so, so he continued before the girl could go into some weird monologue about her lack of womanly charm or something. "However, if it's alright with you, I could look at what you've brought with you and buy what I think would suit the Mistress' fancy? We could do it in the dining hall for more space if needed?" He questioned with the slight tilt of his head.
The bunny didn't exactly enjoy buying things for Mistress Vertti, especially since he always either buys too little or misses the mark in terms of what she's looking for, but he could at least try, right? Plus, it was Mie. She was a girl, and so was the Mistress, so she'd know what the former would be into. She always did after all.
Once indoors, the fox made herself relatively comfortable as she listened in on what the rabbit had to say, glad to be inside. Swishing her tail back and forth in a pleased manner, she stretched. Traveling all the time had its perks, but nothing ever beat being inside of or lodging in a great place like this.
"Hm…Not here?" Mie mused, one of her ears twitching playfully. Well that certainly put a damper on things. Oh well, Grisaia likely wasn't going to be buying much. Stingy rabbit. "Aha, I've already closed up shop though, so no expensive Kararagi pottery on me right now. Officially done for the day."
Hearing that his attempts at being nice were in vain, the younger boy’s normally parallel ears drooped ever so slightly, creating an obtuse angle at the top of his head. ”Uh...huh…” He mumbled as he furrowed his brows, now trying to think of something to break the bit of awkwardness Mie left him submerged in.
Without waiting for Grisaia to give her the go ahead or show her around the place, Mie walked casually away from the door and walked further into the mansion. It didn't seem like she was there for business. If anything, it seemed like she thought she owned the place judging from her casual demeanor.
"So what have you been doing all day, rabbit? You look stressed."
Great...just great. The one question he didn’t want the woman to ask about. Grisaia seemed to almost freeze at that moment, unblinking and unmoving for a few painful seconds before he finally leaned back on the front entrance, a quiet, much more audible sigh escaping his lips this time. Upon hearing said palpable pause and sigh from the rabbit, Mie turned as he replied.
”...When I said earlier that the Mistress wasn’t here at the moment, it was less of that, and more of she’s been missing for the past few days.” He explained as he began picking at the hem of his shirt. ”I spent quite a while talking to someone from the Adventurers’ Guild about helping me out, which would explain why I’m so...stressed.” The last word came out a bit awkward, foreign even, but it wasn’t like he could rewind time and take it back. Instead, Grisaia tried to move the subject along. ”Aer Pacifica was her name. Maybe you’ve sold her something or catered to her in the past?”
Looking at Grisaia now, he seemed utterly worn out and stressed. Mie exhaled, making a clicking noise with her tongue. Hmph, well that wouldn't do at all, now would it! Not that she really cared at all for the rabbit's mental health. No quite the opposite. He was emotionally vulnerable and made an oh-so exciting target for playing with.
"Ara? That's no good, dutiful little rabbit. Stressing over your mistress like that, heh!" She mused in a smug tone, turning on a heel and fixing him with a pointed gaze, one that had him flinch. She walked back over, poking him right on the forehead, practically forcing his eyes to stare cross eyed at said finger before looking back down at the fox in question. "You shouldn't worry so much. Stress is gonna give you wrinkles. You really don't need those." Lady Vertti going missing was a problem for her too, though. She was one of her best customers! If she died…well, she'd be in a lot of trouble. Oh well, thoughts for later. For now funsies and messing with the rabbit.
”B-But--”
"I have to wonder if you have certain other feelings for your mistress, with how worried you are heh. Not that I mind, I'll keep your relationship a secret, fufu!" Leaving the question in the air, Mie turned around and whacked him in the face with her tail as she walked off again, heading for the dining hall. "Can't say I know of this Aer Pacifista though. Her name seems familiar."
”...” Grisaia didn’t want to admit that her question had him blushing like a schoolgirl awaiting her senpai to reciprocate their love for her, but with his face turning two shades pinker, he had no choice but to. His lips remain pressed together in a thin line, deciding not answer her question or how she might have met Aer before in fear of making a bigger fool of himself in front of the merchant; well, it couldn’t get much worse than her smacking him with her tail...who knows where that’s been... Instead, he quickly followed after his fellow ‘companion’, with questions like where she was going and what she was trying to do escaping his mouth once he deemed himself proper enough not to stutter.
She seemed intent on making this place her playground for the next few hours.
Did Grisaia have the heart to stop her silly antics?
...Nope.

Eiko held the precious coins close to her chest as her mind wander of the countless things she could possibly get for herself. It wasn't every day she got to indulge in the better things in life and she definitely had a few designs in her head she was willing to try and make from scratch; but of course, if worse came to worse she'd find some scraps of clothing and make things work from there.
Head in the clouds as her paced walking turning into happy skips, Eiko only really stopped herself when she noted a small commotion taking place further down the street. Emerald eyes squinted in attempts to get a better look at what was going on, only to see what looked like a bag swishing wildly in the air, a person cutting through a crowd of pedestrians with little to no sneakiness in the way they moved. Had they...stolen something? It was the first thought that crossed her mind as her eyes pulled back to gauge the original source that prompted the person to run off, only to spot two boys, one of which was trying to pull the other in the opposite direction.
Just by the way the two boys were moving, they were also in a hurry, just like the other person, but why were they going in opposite directions? Eiko wanted to think it was planned, but with such little coordination...maybe she was just getting ahead of herself. Slowly pulling herself out of her little stupor, the short brunette stashed her coins as she picked up her pace and hurried after the one causing more of a public scene, pink staff clutched tightly in her hands in case this person wanted to get physical.
Her emerald gaze remained trained on the gray blur as it bobbed and weaved down the street. There was no screaming or anything like that, which lead Eiko to believe this person was running to protect themselves...but from what? Curiosity peaking, the girl spread the dove wings on her back a little bit wider before flapping slowly, causing her to hover a bit and increase her speed as she moved. As she was doing so, the gray blur fled into an alley, which only concerned Eiko further. What was going on?
Eiko decided to stop at this point, only being a few yards away from her 'target'. She waited a minute to see if they would come out, knowing said alley most likely lead to a dead end, and they did, but only for a few seconds before going back in. "Huh..." Maybe it wasn't her place to see what was going on. It kinda looked like they, she, was doing some pretty shady stuff in that alleyway. Was she really up for this?
Despite how conflicted her mind was, Eiko continued towards said alley, slow and steadily until she was then standing at the entrance. Quickly, she pinched her nose to avoid ruining the strange ambiance the alley had compared to the bustling street across from it. Tears pricked her eyes as she could even smell the rotting fruit when she breathed in her mouth. How could someone even stand staying in here for longer than five seconds?!
"B-Blech..." Eiko gagged, furrowing her brows as she slowly approached the woman sitting upon one of the main crates surrounded by other crates that were mostly stacked up upon each other. From where she was standing, Eiko could make out fair skin, straight brown hair, similar eyes... What really caught her attention was what she was wearing. It wasn't something she was quite use to seeing everyday, and to be honest, it made her want to talk to this woman even more, even if she might be crazy or try to rob her or something..
"Um, excuse me, Miss? Are you okay?" Eiko finally spoke up, her voice nasally since her free hand was pinching her nose like her life depended on it. Seeing as the woman didn't look to be armed, Eiko held her staff behind her back, as a means to show that she meant no harm.
