RWBY: Deep Blue

Of course falling down and making a scene would attract the attention of others, much to her chagrin. Not to mention failing to get up by rolling from side to side. Nice work, Esther, bringing Faunus back another fifty years. She thought, feeling and looking rather ridiculous. She noticed a tentacle haired girl and a guy had come to her aid. Reluctantly, she grabbed both hands, and managed to support herself enough to stand up. “Uh, thanks.” She said unsurely, bracing herself against the wind as to not fall down again. “Sorry also, I guess. I’m not the most aerodynamic of people,” Esther added, giving a rather forced laugh, not sure why she’s trying to continue the conversation and her humility.

“Esther,” Said in a friendly manner, gesturing towards herself so they wouldn’t be confused as to who she was talking about. Shifting the strap on her shoulder uncomfortably, looking out to the beautiful landscape that rushed bellow them. She wondered when they’ll make it to Beacon, and off this airship.

The moment Esther had gotten on the airship, she immediately found a secluded corner to sit. Using her large shield, she blocked herself from the others, creating a barrier between her and the need to be social. She couldn’t act like this for much longer as she’ll have to work with a team, but for now she appreciated the tranquility she had in her little corner. Given she had to wake up rather early to make it on the airship, Esther found this a perfect time to take a nap.

Well, that is until some rambunctious students decided to start roughhousing and managed to knock down her shield. With the loud clang of metal, Esther woke up, a sharp glare at whomever it was who was acting like children. Esther realized there were more students now, and was feeling a bit crowded. This is more like public transportation. You’d think they’d have another airship or something. And with that she sauntered slowly to find somewhere else to hang about. There were certainly some interesting characters about, a good number with animal traits such as herself. This was a comforting thought given her combat school almost nearly lacked Faunus. One of the many reasons why Esther decided to attend Beacon was it’s accepting to people of different backgrounds. Then again, just because there’s a bunch of us doesn’t mean there’s not going to be any discrimination. Oh well.

Esther noticed stairs that seemed to lead up to the top of the ship. Surely that’s a safety hazard? Well if you fall off, you’ll probably have to walk the rest of the way. Esther smirked at the image, deciding some exploring wouldn’t hurt and climbed the stairs. Almost instantly upon reaching topside, the roar of the wind was all she could hear. A particularly strong gust got the best of her, and there was another loud thunk of metal as the giant shield she wore hit the floor, and she was on her back, struggling to get back up.

Alright, I see a lot of people doing this, so let's discuss this:Everyone who has access to their aura can create shields.If you want especially-strong shields, that can be a semblance, but we don't need people tacking them onto their semblances just because you want shields.

Pretty much what mine's going to be, lol. Although, perhaps being able to extend it around others or objects, so yeah, as mentioned pretty much Violet.

EDIT: I also fixed my bio! Is there anything else I should change? I should also have the pictures done soon.

Would perhaps something along the lines of a force field, or rather an outward projection of aura to use as a shield work? Like Violet from The Incredibles? Pretty much the same bubble thing, but of course with a time limit and the bigger the object is, the harder it would be to create.

Race: Faunus (Reptile)

Appearance

Esther has a natural tanned complexion. Covering her body would be scales, from her faunus heritage. These scales are rather obvious as they cover her cheeks, neck, back, and other places. She’s all of five foot two and about a hundred thirty pounds, she’s rather short and stout much to her disliking, however, don’t underestimate her strength. She lacks feminine curves, although doesn’t mind, despite often being mistaken for a boy, she again doesn’t mind.

Her face has a bit of a mature angular look to it. Her often bored or tired looking eyes are a lovely gray-green color, similar to her scales. Her hair is a rather average dark brown, worn that of a mop. She doesn’t even style it and it can be described as a bed head.

Personality

Esther’s main trait would be apathetic. That goes for her looks, things going around her, or just in general. She is passive towards people, not wanting to be on sides, such as that in petty drama started fights. Esther can also be known to be on the pessimistic side, being the kind of person who sees the glass as half empty. She’s rather straightforward, often making herself seem rather cynical, and she isn’t above sarcasm. Matched with her uncaring attitude is her laziness. Esther isn’t much of a people’s person, and can be a bit uncomfortable when around people for long periods of time. Given her reclusiveness, she can be rather socially awkward. She isn't much of a chatty Cathy, since she has no idea what to say most of the time.

Weapons

Chelone Atlas (Kah-lohn-ee)

Esther & Chelone Atlas

Chelone Atlas is a rather large boomerang that can fold up into a cumbersome shield. It can also break into two to create two triangular shaped guns similar to that of assault rifles. She usually uses one half of Chelone Atlas before running out of ammo, then moving on to the other.

Esther tends to favor green dust, or even earth based, although as an assortment of different types. Much of her attacks consist of using Chelone Atlas as a blunt weapon (shield or boomerang form) and bashing her foes (her strongest attack), throwing it whilst parting with some of her aura for a stronger punch, able to hit several enemies at once, and finally, just shooting the heck out of her opponents.

Semblance

Force Fields- A stronger form of the already aura formed shield everyone has, although can be projected around others and or objects, It lasts as long as she has energy. Allows her to take on plenty of damage before giving out. It's more apparent than that of a normal aura shield and has a greenish hue to it.

Strengths

Good at being on the defensive, be it taken a beating, or protecting others, she can stand being in the front lines and having others hide behind her as she takes the blunt of the attack. Given Esther is more of a tank kind of fighter, her main attacks, although not often, are strong, as she expels most of her aura in a single blow, either wiping out her foe, or at least resulting in a lot of damage.

Weaknesses

Is on the slow side, no thanks to her laziness or even her rather ridiculously sized weapon. This also includes in battle, as she takes her time making attacks, often waiting for the perfect time, but it could be a mistake on her part and not being quick enough. She’s also rather easily tired, as explained above she uses a lot of aura in one attack, and then usually just moves back into the defensive.
