So I realized that the highest honor anyone can get is not to get a Nobel Peace prize, nor getting your name taught throughout history. It's being made into an Anime Character with giant boobs.

So where do I go after Elysium? I just made it through after beating a Chad-dude and his giant burly friend with horns at a break dancing contest.

Bio

About me:
I am an amateur writer at best as I have had a bit of experience writing short novels and stories as a side gig (Don't ask me for help unless you are desperate. I barely know what I'm doing half the time!)

I mostly Rp on medieval fantasy, modern fantasy, and modern slice of life. However, I am always willing to do anything. And I have been roleplaying for about 8 years now.

I have a pretty open schedule right now, other than planning DnDs, and looking for a job. (Still praying that one day I can get payed to play DnD or by playing videogames, but I haven't made a dollar yet).

PLEASE IF YOU THINK I FORGOT AN RP MESSAGE ME!!!! I CAN GUARANTEE THAT I FORGOT AS I WAS PROBABLY PRAYING TO THE GODS OF CHAOS THAT I WOULD BE ABLE TO WIN THE NEXT GAME OF MAGIC I'M GOING TO PLAY!!! (In all seriousness I'm very forgetful and scatter brained, just send me a message and I should be able to pump out that post in no time)

The partners I am looking for right now is people who are chill and relax as well as just some genuinely nice people to chat to and play with. Any style is fine, just be ready as there are time where it will take some time for advanced posts will take me a few days.

Other than that I like to listen to music and anytime someone asks me to do a thing, 90% of the time I will just do it as I just don't care enough. But I will not sing, my voice is garbage and I am not confident enough to even try to learn now.

Desmond rubbed the back of his head as he walked the streets of Ersand'Ernise with 2 other males in front of him, they all wore thick fitted grey pants, white tough white coats, and each had a long grey cape that signified who they were, Lamplighters. Yet unlike Desmond who seemed to walk calmly and easily, however, the two walking in front of him seemed like they walked like kings. Their steps were firm and their eyes seemed almost like they look down on others, yet it seemed like they were watching for something, waiting. As Desmond finally pulled out his scroll tube to look at his schematics from the guns he got from the Sirrahi. He was beginning to figure out now possible chemicals needed for now propulsion, and he was struggling with something very important that the bullets seem to do, by striking the back of the metal casing it ignites the gunpowder and then shoots the bullets out. Desmond has been thinking about what he could do for such a thing, he's tried gunpowder, he's tried different chemicals, yet nothing seemed to be as good as the Sirrahi tech other than his own magic. Yet he wishes to recreate it to lower the burden he will need to use his weapon, yet as he starts to think about what he could do or who he could go to for this. Desmond sighed as he looked until a yell resounded in Desmond's ears as his head whipped up and saw something as he rushed over while throwing his scrolls into his satchel and yelling, "Hey what the hell are you doing?!"

As there looms his two patrolling partners, one with a wooden cudgel in hand as there is a smaller male cowering on the ground as he holds his head as blood pours out. Desmond pushes them out of the way yelling, "What the fuck?!" As Desmond goes down to check on the man, he was maybe a little under the height of a man his age, maybe similar in height and size to Silas. Desmond whipped around and demanded an answer once more, "Why did you hit him?! What did he do?!". His partners looked to him smugly as they said, "Stopping a thief. You see his grubby hands had an apple, obviously, he stole it". Desmond then shoves the man who said that back as finally they saw Desmond's full size. Desmond quite often seems unimposing, almost everything about him is average, he was pretty good looking however other than that he was average and even thin looking because of his clothing and build. Yet now, he seemed to almost loom over them, his height was slightly above average making him tall enough to look down upon the one he is talking to as his age made him taller while he stands chest to chest with the boy. And at that moment, Desmond's eyes looked sharp and cold as there seemed to be something dark and looming. Both of the Lamplighters seemed to almost draw and fill in response to his aggression, yet Desmond seemed too calm, as his body seemed to even become a lower and lower energy source yet it flared with energy, as he drew from his own internal energies to seem almost invisible while flaring his own manas. Something hard to understand in just a moment.

Yet that was not what scared them it was when Desmond looked down to the man and met his eyes while saying, "Do something". Both shivered as Desmond stood there before he pointed to the Lamplighter he isn't looking at, "You will Heal him and continue our route. I am taking this one back to be turned in. I will be back in 10 minutes, you better be doing your job correctly". The Lamplighter he was pointing to seemed to stand still watching in fear until Desmond turns and barks, "Go!" As the Lamplighter kneels down and begins to heal the boy before heading off. Desmond turned back to the lamplighter he is looking at as he says to the young man who was hit behind him, "Hey kid are you okay?". The boy said with a soft voice, "Yes sir". Desmond then turned to him and said with a smile, "That's good, you get along now, you should clean yourself up when you get a chance". Desmond then looked back and grabbed the arm of the man he is looming over and says, "Come on".

As they left the area, they felt eyes looming on them as they all saw what happened, most would have never seen nor cared until someone made light of it, and now? They all looked as if they witnessed something despicable, something as if a crime was committed. The Lamplighter felt the pressure looming on him, he has never felt this, he was always the one right, the one in power, and now? He is being dragged in by a Commoner, a low-born man who is here for the money. He was now being treated like some criminal like he was a commoner who committed a crime. This is the position Desmond should be in, not him! As the man thought as they walked, yes, as a Noble he shouldn't be here, this is the place of a Commoner. As the boy attempted to start manipulating the chemical energy within Desmond he felt his grasp slowly working in, yet the moment he tried to tug any which way, he felt electrical energy fill him and shock his system violently as he let out a yell.

Desmond sighed as he shook his head, he was ready for anything, and this? This was way too easy to see as Desmond goes to grab the man's head and looked him in the eyes while saying, "Smart move, Dumbass". As Desmond brought his fist back and punched the boy across the face as the Lamplighter's lights were put out.
Melon Derby

Hour 1

Desmond talks to both Korin and Woren about first heading off to a dangerous place, one of the most dangerous in the entire school. To prepare for this moment Desmond bought a lovely wooden pole for today, yet made some modifications. He bore a hole into a basic melon before attempting to freeze the melon into a solid mass and then fusing it to the pole to create a melon warhammer. Once he feels it is solid Desmond heads off with Korin and Woren to check the den of the Devil himself, the water where Mallow abides. Once they made it near the water, Desmond began instructing Woren and Korin in their search for any high-value melons nearby. While even taking on the Devil himself to raid his nest and take the possible melons placed there.

Hour 3

Once Desmond had finally made it back to base and the Water-Melon was secured Desmond knew it was time to strike out again, after changing. Desmond went to his room an grabbed a set of dry basic clothing and changed into it. Once finished he headed off to retreive his very helpful partners Woren and Korin and get them up. He got both of them up and they licked their wounds before they headed off to a spot Desmond remembered from his Lamplighter watch, the Fieldgate Tower [A-9].

people bristle and prepare to defend as the trio walks by, but Desmond makes it to the tower at the very bleak edge of the city without incident. There, after climbing six flights of stairs, he and his hegelan companions find a fat hundred-point melon and a pair of grenades, one cheekily shoved down a carronade's barrel. They also find a decent-sized aberration on one of the parapets.

Once they made it up the tower Desmond began looking around and grabbed another 100 point melon and 2 melon grenades that he split away from each other with one being with Korin and the other being with Woren. Yet the thing that made him worry was the aberration as he saw it. He sighed and let it be as he began looking around as he noticed quite a lack of movement in the Nobles Dorm. Desmond thought for a moment as he remembered the more travelled areas and thought about there may be some roads less travelled that has some things as they will be heading from their position to The New Gate and head towards the tower at [U-2].

On their route, Desmond and his partners find two more hundred-pointers, a slew of tens, and two grenades.
After Finding a few more melons Desmond, Woren, and Korin all make their ways bac to base to secure their findings ad prepare for the final defense that is going to occur. They secured plenty of things now it is time to try and hunker down. They had some more time before the points would be tallied.

Hour 4

Desmond, Woren, and Korin make it back to their home, one that seems mostly fine. As the final hour dawned it was time to get ready, they lit the fire place to ward of future attempts at use it as an entry way.

They hardened defenses around the house and melons, it made it much easier to know where they were but it helped keep them more safe since they were there. As the rest of the Melon Derby seems to go off without a hitch as Zeno Moonlight's group was able to snag 4th place.

To Fell a Beast

Mentions/Interaction: Arne'altan'jaros, The Skygge @Force and Fury, and Vali @Wolfieh

Kol looked towards the Skygge as she spoke of the great beast, the Havetskriger, and it breaking out of the restraints it was once in. As it now has killed multiple people and then seemed to thirst to kill more. Kol looked to her and nodded as he took her hand and mounted her steed. As they headed off Kol began learning what he could of the beast, it was the beast they hid under the dock to keep prisoners from possibly using the Gift, yet now it has turned against them.

As they made it to the castle grounds there was Arne'altan'jaros arming himself as he heard of the news. Kol called to the man as he landed and made his way over as they both took up weapons and horses as the three headed off to the city where they can see the commotion come from. As they neared yelling, screaming, and crying happens as the thunderous roar of the Havetskriger scream out as it spears people through, and stampede’s about.

30 men on foot and a hand full more on horses was all they had versus this beast. It had been struck by arrows, even spears were thrown into it and all it did was make it look as if it had stray hairs. The beast threw itself around with great force and violent speed that one could mistake it for the Nashorn, yet as its horns smashed into buildings and rended stone, it was no joking matter.

Kol had just made it with Arne and the Skygge as he had blown his own horn countless times as they moved through the city. To inform those who can hear to make way, and to call on those near to join hopefully. The moment they neared the fray they saw the force they had, Kol took command and began barking orders as people formed positions for a volley to begin. To prepare for battle.

Word had made it fast to Rigevand, and faster yet had Vali Twice-Born made it to the harbor, soldiers in tow. He’d been gripping his Sangløs Bue since the city outskirts, even taking some shots from quite a distance. No doubt they hit, given the ranger’s skill, but any magic he could’ve imbued them with would be worthless, and the arrows themselves were mere pinpricks.

His breathing was ragged but light as the man got within range of his bloodbrother, eyes only sparingly taking in the scene immediately around him and instead focusing almost entirely on the rampaging beast. “Do we have a plan?” he called when he thought Kol might hear him, mind already chewing over the possibilities.

Wrath Incarnate

Mentions/Interaction: Maerec @Dao Ma, and Hildr @jasbraq

As the duel turned into a brawl, Arsène had found himself in a fight with the large boulder called the Nashorn, he goaded, sliced, fought, and gotten nearly put to near death by the large hulking mass of metal and flesh. Yet Arsène was not a man to lay down, again and again, one time, twice more, he was flung and thrown. His body was torn apart, yet he was not put down for good. The healing done over and over during the brawl had allowed Arsène to stand after another fight. Yet he was not the only one fighting, the Eskandr used the moment the duel was to end to attack the Parrench side. These snarling beasts they bark out, they call them terrible, then in a moment of a duel, they dishonor not only the duel but their own warrior.

Yet that did not matter, for such trivial things did not matter to a force of nature. A force that flew the sky, scorched the lands, and evaporated seas. Wrath incarnate, that was what Arsène would call such a beast, the Dragon that flew the skies and brought hell down to the earth. Arsène looked to the beast and said, "Bloody hell, can this day drag on any more?" As he took to his feet, he looked around as he took out his bow, he began morphing an arrow as he prepared to fight, yet Maerec seemed to have almost taken Arsène's feet off the ground trying to force him to head to the mountains.

Arsène heard something he can only sneer at, as he looked to the shamed girl, Hildr, and said, "Senseless death? The man you fought for burned many-a people. He has killed hundreds of men, women, and children for no reason other than to push his king's own twisted agenda in a war he won't win. And now that wrinkly sack of shit you have followed now leaves to commit more murder while leaving this dragon to kill everything it feels. The only thing your people seem to know is senseless death".

Arsène huffs as he puts his fingers to his lips as he lets out a whistle for Blackthorn, and before mounting he says to Hildr, "If all you will do is be a petulant child too afraid to fight an over-grown lizard, then you best leave, because you are about as useful as those villagers you are speaking of, and we have no need to protect people who might just stab us in the back or murder those we4 are protecting".

Location:
Abandoned Neodymium Mine
Eunsan Mountain Range
250 Kilometers Southwest of Balya Gora
Date/Time:
March 23rd, 3030
Interactions:
Gawain and The Green Knights
Gear:
His clothing: Boots, long-sleeved shirt, pants, gloves, holstered handgun with 20 rounds

A solid thud resounded through the Green Knights temporary base as the Black Pheonix set down the large cargo container as the machine hummed. Dink marks and scratches flowed across Black Pheonix like rain as then the torso area was shown, burns, heavy metal marks, and explosion craters that strewn the machine. As it stood there, it was like a soldier waiting, still yet rumbling right under the skin, waiting for the moment to continue to follow orders.

Tarak was far better off than his machine, he looked more than fine, he left his machine with a deftness that was seen by people coming back from a quick and easy sortie. Yet this was anything but that, people were lost, machines were damaged quite badly, and it wasn't clean. Tarak sighed before he dug too much deeper, he needed to make sure those around were still there. As the cold air hit him, the sweat he accumulated began to cool very quickly, making some of the many layers less than useful, yet it was better than nothing as his skin was not directly in contact with the air, so that was a plus.

Tarak began to adjust his neurohelmet once his feet touched the floor, no matter how comfortable he was to the helmet, it made his body itch like crazy when he got worked up. Tarak normally had great difficulty reaching for some of the more annoying areas, as he seemed to almost began to shift uncomfortably in his own skin. As he made his way to the area where the Orphans had made their own place, Tarak was rushed by multiple people. They came to him seeming almost like starving wolves as they neared him and started battering him with question after question.

"How'd it go?"

"What'd you get?"

"Do we have more food?"

"What happened out there?"

Tarak took his helmet off as he said, "Itchy". As he began to rub his eye violently like he had some kind of allergy that is affecting him as he left to clean himself of the sweat and feeling he has been having. As he entered his area, he had a bucket of water waiting for him and a scrubbing pad that he used violently across his body. As he cleaned his body, he also got rid of the constant feeling he had from his rig. As once he finished cleaning his body, now came the other places that itched, his ear canals. Tarak had to have made do quite often as with the Green Knights being stuck with no supplies, he had no way of cleaning his ears without a little risk. As he would often use a thin metal stick he would use to scratch and swirl around in his ears to hit very specific areas that seemed to almost make Tarak twitch. Once he had finished his after-battle ritual, Tarak slipped into more comfortable clothing before he began to make his way over to the cargo container he had brought with him.

There he grabbed some of the other orphans as he sent them in and took out everything within, what came out was quite the Hodge podge of things. It was many different pieces of tech, items, and one even came out in confusion holding up the dashboard of a vehicle as they yell, "What the hell are these?!" Tarak answered in a calm and concise manner, "Ah those, for music. Leave one there though, it's a gift". Once unloaded it seemed Gawain had finished up with watching the battle data as a yell resounded throughout the cave. Tarak sighed as he made his way over to the meeting area, maybe Gawain wouldn't be very harsh on them.

Tarak was partially right, Gawain seemed to consider what they did well. Tarak knew they were not perfect, but they were working with imperfect information. A Longbow would quite literally be not on their radar, so there were some things there, yet losing people hurts, no matter if they knew the risk, everyone did, yet it still hurt. Then came what each of them did, for Tarak he protected his Lancemen the best he could, but he should also worry about himself, as a dead pilot can protect no one else. Tarak gave a nod of acknowledgment before Gawain continued on and soon a new face came in, an intruder. He seemed decently built and well off, he seemed unarmed yet as Gawain was informed of the situation he knew why the man was he, moonshine. Tarak chuckled slightly as he thought that someone had come all the way out here for that. Tarak looked to the man still inspecting, yet also curious, what kind of man would be here for this, there was no way he didn't know what is happening here.
Training the Light and Shadow of the Moon

Collaberation of: Th3king0fChaos [Desmond], @dragonpiece [Ingrid], and @BreathOfTheWoof [Zarra]

On a warm Lepedes afternoon, within the Zeno house of Fades-in-Moonlight, Desmond made his way over to the commons area where he had called both Ingrid and Zarra, ”Hey you two, I brought you both here to talk about the Trials and some of my worries. Specifically-”, Desmond looked to both Zarra and Ingrid as he then continued, ”in the physical challenges”.

“Can I opt to physically not be there?” We’re already starting off strong as Zarra dismissively but playfully quips.

”I wish, however you will need to be if we are to even come close to getting top 10 in the Trials, and this is a pretty important event”.

Ingrid was excited to try on her new set of workout gear. And exercising in the sun was nice. Plus this, ”I hope you brought your earplugs Desmond, Zarra is quite the screamer when it comes to strenuous activity,” Ingrid said smirking at Zarra.

Zarra rolls his eyes as smirks back, enjoying the banter. “I don’t think Desmond is planning on cutting me open today, atleast...”

”No not yet with you Zarra. You are too frail for that”, Desmond said with a smile.

“Thank Ipte.” is the only thing the accurately scrawny Thunderchild can think to respond with.

“Should’ve been thanking Ipte last night when I let you cuddle me in bed, or maybe you were just cold from all the blood loss,” Ingrid couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at it.

Inside Zarra is as shamed as a red-nosed reindeer, but he attempts to keep his cool enough to bring his sarcastic defense mechanisms up. “I can’t believe Ingrid of all people would be capable of spreading rumors.” He turns his attention back to Desmond, expecting that line of conversation to end.

Desmond whistled in response to such provacative statements, as he then continued, ”Alright, alright, the poor boy have been harassed enough. So I called you both here to talk to you about starting a training regiment, are either of you willing?” desmond asked as he seemed to be waiting for a response before he continued.

Ingrid responded quickly, “It has been quite a few years since I trained. But I’m sure it would do me good.” Ingrid wasn’t shy about training. In fact she been looking to train more since she has been eating more.

“I mean I kinda doubt it’s a bad idea, at the most I lose some time, and while I would prefer to do something like this by myself, I’d be lying to myself if I said I had the discipline, so having a couple partners would avoid that pitfall.” Zarra brings up thoughtfully.

Desmond had a smile on his face as they spoke, it was one that rested very easily as it was seen more often than not. Desmond said in a calm voice, “Perfect! Well it would include waking up in the early morning everyday-” as Desmond said under his breath before dawn break.

Ingrid already woke up early so this just meant her early morning coffee and pastry from Zeno Bucks. Maybe before hand as Ingrid has noticed the almost miraculous effect the dark brew has on her mind. Who knows what the magical liquid could do for you if taken before training.
“We should pick up some coffee before we train in the morning! My treat.”

Desmond looked in astonishment as he asked, ”Oh do they open up before Dawn?”.

Ingrid's excitement vanished, “Before Dawn?” Ingrid slouched, “I guess it will be after…”

“I’m lucky to get up before dusk, let alone the other twilight, is there a specific reason we’re doing it at that time?” he says this with a poorly veiled argumentative attitude.

”Well early morning is the best time as the exercise should take possibly 2-3 hours to complete properly. I don’t want to do late night as from what I know that you guys have something going on, so early morning” Desmond said with a relaxed smile.

”That sounds reasonable, it is just so early. But fine, I will accept your generosity to train me.” Ingrid didn’t like it but it would probably get her closer to her previous fitness and get her to looking shredded enough for her costume.

“You have the audacity to assume I do anything meaningful with my late nights.” This response is mostly a half-truth, it’s more designed to fit in than to actually correct Desmond.

Ingrid was slightly annoyed that he would describe his nights as unmeaningful and she did give him a glare about it but nothing more than that.

“Alright, we can either start now and get you guys started in understanding what kind of training you would do, and possibly embarrass yourselves in front of people. Or I can wake you guys up early and get us started a little earlier before dawn tomorrow to explain things”. Desmond clapped his hands together as he looked to the both of them as he continued, ”Your choice”.

Ingrid didn’t mind going out now, “How about we take a little fly over to the forest to train, it’s usually a little cooler.” Ingrid thought that would be a fun jaunt and it would save her from sweating her ass off in front of everyone.

"Does Desmond have the RAS to fly though?" Zarra emphatically points out.

“I’m assuming Ingrid was just gonna fly both of us over” Desmond said with a small shrug.

”I think it would be a good practice to fly the both of you over to the forest if you trust me.”

"Are we going to do the exercises while flying? I'll admit it would be a little creative…"

”Hu, I never thought of that, however, that also seems very unproductive. As you have nothing to push against or resist against so it might be very weak training” Desmond said while he seemed to think upon it for a moment before shrugging.

"What are you talking about? I bet I could push against Benny's ego from here." Zarra couldn't resist taking a jab at the more powerful student.

Desmond let out a chuckle as he said, ”Yeah yeah-” as Desmond fully shifted as they were to head to the door, ”Let’s go, we should talk more while we are going”

“Alright then,” Ingrid closed her eyes and focussed. Ingrid absorbed the subtle power the planet had on their bodies making them light. She kept Desmond and Zarra close together as she then used it to move them through the air to their location. Slowly picking up speed as they went. Never going out of control but sometimes having a slight change of elevation. When Ingrid spotted a good spot she slowly lowered them into the forest. The landing was not the smoothest but overall save. “Alright, here we are!” Ingrid exclaimed, still excited from the successful flight test.

”Nice going Ingrid, I felt unsafe only twice during that, not bad”.

"So, where's the part where I split trees and eat nails?" Not shying away from hyperbole.

“Not yet kiddo, you are thinking level 2, you aren’t even at level one”, Desmond said as he began taking a few steps forward to stand in front of both Zarra and Ingrid as he continued, ”You will be doing some basic physical training, getting you both into some shape through most physical effort before we would introduce magic to increase the difficulty and effectiveness of training”.

“Alright, where to start Desmond?” Ingrid had started stretching.

Desmond makes a line on the ground as he walks roughly 30 yards, as he then called out to them, “We’ll start with sprints, you guys will run from that line all the way over to here. Once you do, you will then jog all the way back to that line and then do it again. You guys will do that 5 times before we move on to the next exercise”.

Running, Ingrid’s nemesis, “Fine.” Ingrid ran and maybe got to the jog back on the third lap before she started to look ragged.

Zarra, true to his competitive nature, tries to run faster than Ingrid. Using a breathing technique of his own invention, he inhales with his nose and exhales with his mouth. He takes Desmond as literally as possible, going full speed for the first half and a healthy trot for the return.

Ingrid wasn’t worried about the anemic short stack that would make a peasant cry if he was the bird hunted for dinner. She had a longer stride and her full speed was much faster. Just not very long-lived.

Once they had finished the sprints, Desmond sent them through 20 pushups, then 20 situps, then 20 lunges, then 20 jumping jacks. Each one follows a pace set by Desmond, when messed up Desmond stops them and restarts the exercise before they complete it properly. As then they get to the last few exercises, the first of them being Crab and bear walks.

”Alright, now we are going to do crab and bear walks, you will lean back and go to all 4 as you crawl backwards 30 yards. Once you make it to the 30 yard mark, you then go and switch to crawling on all 4 with your belly down and go back to the starting point”. Desmond gives a basic show before he continues, ”Alright, you will do this 5 times, any questions?”

“Does that actually test anything or is it just free embarrassment points?” Regardless of Desmond’s answer, the question is loaded, Zarra is unlikely to believe either way.

“Oh it’s both, you work out muscles that you probably never use lifting a book or a spoon to your mouth while I get to watch you make a dumbass of yourself”, Desmond said with his same old smile.

Ingrid didn’t feel particularly embarrassed but she did have to ask, “So why not train through either sparring or with resistance? I know you can injure yourself but we have a binder here and I can press everyone down with force to make it more difficult.”

“Oh because this isn’t just for strength, dexterity, and agility, this is also for longer form stamina. I’m trying to get you both able to strain yourselves for longer periods of time without tiring or slowing easily, it’s why the training consists of a few hours of exercise rather than just quick strenuous exercises to strain the muscles to then use magic to quickly reform it. That can come later if you really need to bulk up” Desmond said with a few movements, flexing when speaking of strength, doing jazz hands when talking about dexterity, bouncing when speaking of agility, and pointing to the heart when he speaks of stamina.

Desmond then shifted in his stance as he put his hands on his hips as he continued,“Also with sparing, it will come in a bit, I was planning this was going to be the work we do in the morning every day, while sparring comes on the days we have more time, like the weekends. But if you wanna spar now I can always oblige, but after you finish your first set of exercises”.

“Too bad we can’t just bind ourselves new muscles.” Zarra interprets wishfully. “Well, what and how are we sparring? If we aren’t careful Ingrid may turn me into one of those multi-piece puzzles.”

“Full contact I would assume, no magic or eye gouging.” Ingrid smirked at Zarra, “Your pretty good at putting together people puzzles right?”

“What about ear biting?” spoken sardonically.

”Alright alright, yes it will be full contact, just don’t go full force. We may have a binder however I don’t need you guys breaking each other’s bones or snapping necks alright?”

“See, what I don’t like about sparring is that, it’s kinda inaccurate, don’t you think? Like if I’m genuinely fighting for my life, why wouldn’t I do things like pull hair or burn their eyes? I am aware the Trials have rules but that’s likely what I’m gonna do in the moment.” Zarra seems very confident in knowing his own instincts here.

You ever heard the idea, ‘do onto others that you wish done upon you?’. You may play dirty, but if you play dirty and Ingrid decides to drop to your level and it devolves into dirty tricks then either of you might go a little too hard and do something we can’t fix”. Desmond spoke calmly to answer the questions turned complaints.

“Besides you won’t get the full physical benefits of sparing if you both injure yourselves from doing such tricks. I’m not here teaching you how to duel at full force, we have neither the resources nor the time for that. Maybe near the Trials I will line you both up to do some practice duels, however, for the time being while we train, many of those dirty tricks, those full force attacks, stow them”. Desmond sliced his hand through the air as a signal to stop as he then switched topics, ”Alright back to exercise at hand, both of you onto all 4s while facing the sky you guys own me some crawls”.

Zarra aggressively waddles across the grass like some sort of non-euclidean being.

Ingrid had no idea what Zarra was doing but she was crab walking and hating it. Proper exercise.

Once Ingrid and Zarra made it the 30 yards he yelled out to them switch, where they would switch to bear crawling back those 30 yards they covered, as they repeat this 4 more times before they finished. Once they made it back from the final crawl, Desmond said, ”Good job, you guys have 1 last exercise. You guys will be doing sideways shuffling those 30 yards, and then coming back doing more sideways shuffles but facing the opposite way on your way back. You will do this 5 times and then we can move on to some sparring”. Desmond said as he gave a demonstration so they both understood what he was talking about before saying, ”Ready? Go!” Giving no time for idle chatter.

Zarra at some point hits a sharp rock, causing many things to go wrong to the point he just straight up collapses on the ground.

Ingrid would normally not have an issue with this but the current condition of her legs mixed with the forest floor created a unique challenge. She fell once or twice but she manages to get it done without any serious issues.

Desmond watched them and knew this was to happen, the forest is a difficult place to try exercises yet it provided a unique training he didn’t think about. As once they finished, Ingrid after a scratch or two, and Zarra plenty more, they ended up at the starting point where Desmond was standing waiting for them. ”Alright, so that was the first set you guys would be doing in the morning. Normally we would have 4 more sets, however we have a little less time today because we started in the afternoon and y’all wanted to spar” Desmond said with a slight shrug at the end as he then continued, ”So, who wants to go first? I’ll be both of your partners for today so please go easy on me~”. Desmond said the last part with the exact same smile he has always worn, yet his face seemed almost more sly than normal.

"How exactly does one go easy in a fight?" Despite the rhetoric behind it, Zarra seems serious about that question.

”Ah very good question, going easy in a fight would include: Not putting all of your weight into a punch, kick, or throw. Making sure when you throw someone to the ground make sure not to throw them onto their head. If you put someone into an arm lock, leg lock, or any other form of lock not to go through with a full break, just add tension ‘till your opponent gives up. When you have someone in a hold to choke them out, you may knock them out however you are not to try to break their neck or hold them for an excessively long time. Really it’s ‘try not to kill each other or cause irreparable damage”. Desmond made sure that Zarra knew everything he needed, it might be something that inherently made sense to Desmond or even Ingrid but something that might not make as much sense to a Noble boy who has just left home.

Ingrid didn’t need much explanation for what amounted to try not to kill each other. She thought a standard level of empathy and a lick of intelligence was enough to read what Desmond meant. She was surprised to see Zarra needed it explained to him so thoroughly.

"I guess I can go first, just be aware I might go down super quickly, never been one to just accept blows, being Greyborn and all." Zarra sort of approaches, not really sure exactly how to stance, however, he ultimately goes with an open hand stance, rather than the generic cuffed fists. "I guess I'll try using some stuff my brother taught me, can't promise it will be graceful though…"

Desmond starts to back up slightly as he began to roll up his sleeves, ”It’s alright if you aren’t any good, we’re here to start teaching you how to be better”. As once Desmond saw Zarra get into some stance desmond stopped his back peddling and took up his own stance. Having 2 closed fists with his right hand being near his face while his left lower towards his stomach. Desmond still had his smile as he said, ”Alright how about you make the first move”.

Zarra nods in acceptance, then immediately rushes Desmond, intending to slam his foot into his top of the opponent’s, or at least get a shin strike.

Desmond saw Zarra rushing as prepared for multiple different strikes or possible grab attempts, as he saw Zarra lift his foot and go down into a stomp, he waited to watch Zarra’s shoulders, yet there was no other movement, only a full force stomp. Desmond shifted his leading foot inward to be aimed in between his opponents' legs as he lunged forward shifting himself so he would be only centimeters away from Zarra as he loomed over Zarra before he attempted to shove him away.

Zarra did something Desmond likely didn’t expect, rather than attempt to strike Desmond with a knee or elbow combo, Zarra took advantage of Desmond essentially counterapproaching him to grab him by the knee and roll with all the sprints momentum, which if goes through will cause both of them on the ground on their sides and Zarra capturing Desmond with a nasty kneebar.

Desmond didn’t expect this much, it was impressive that Zarra had enough thought to try and get into a situation like this without flinching when his enemy closed in with a possible counter. Yet Desmond knew this maneuver well, the best way to counter would be to drop his weight and allow Zarra to essentially run into his knee, yet Desmond wanted to see more. So Desmond let his weight drop even further as he met Zarra’s tackle with his full body and got him into his grasp. Desmond knew he couldn’t disengage easily, so he was to check the tackle and keep Zarra standing, trying to see what Zarra will do when he is in a bad spot.

Despite possibly being dubbed cheating, Zarra decides to use magic here. He jumps with his both legs and then uses Kinetic to swing himself unusually fast, intending to kick Desmond’s knees out from under him and throw him head over heels.

Ingrid had been watching the spar as she rested knowing her fate was next. She was impressed by Zarra’s ability to outright ignore fear and go in for his own counter. A skill that could definitely help you win a fight. But Desmond was far too seasoned to be stopped by someone who merely isn’t afraid. Desmond countered and was in the process of putting Zarra into a bad spot when the little shit head pulled out magic. A kinetically enhanced kick was dangerous, it had more power and size than a punch but usually lacked speed for a beginner. Being enhanced made it something that can break bones. Ingrid didn’t hold back and performed the skill Dead Stop. For her it was nothing at this point to stop someone of his size. She did her best to express a finite control to not affect Desmond but she did partially. Tch, needs more practice, Ingrid thought before letting out an irritated voice, ”No magic Zarra.”.

The moment Desmond saw Zarra move much too fast for someone in his position and his level, he knew Zarra just used magic. Desmond’s senses heightened to an increased level as he focused on where Zara could have been. Desmond knew he had but a moment to dodge, with Zarra’s body position he last saw, Desmond knew Zarra was going from a low stance to a shifted sideways stance. Desmond took a bet that Zarra was coming from the side to bring him to the ground. Desmond didn’t feel a large shift so that meant Zarra was going to be low so Desmond was going to hop the possible kick. Yet the moment he leaped and brought his legs to his chest, he felt himself in the air for a moment as he felt the energy in his body gone as the only thing that left his mouth was, ”Ehe~”, as he then fell onto his ass. ”Ahhh, ow. Thanks for the save Ingrid” Desmond said as he gave Ingrid a thumbs up

Much to Zarra’s disintention, he stops midkick and clashes with the ground rather brutally, likely pulling the grappled Desmond with him. “Sorry, I was trying to make sure I could perform the move, I wasn’t intentionally trying to hurt him.” Zarra hopes he comes off sincere enough to be taken so, as is trying to be but he knows as a Greyborn he is expected to lie often.

Desmond rose from the floor and brushed himself of the dirt as he said, ”Alright we’ll call it there. That would have been a little serious if we went further”. Desmond said with his same smile as he clapped his hands together getting the dust off of them. As desmond pointed towards Ingrid, ”Alright Ingrid your turn”. As Desmond slowly back peddled again as he started to adjust his sleeves.

“Alright, lets do this,” Ingrid wasn’t ready to spar but she needed to. She started to make way towards him at a moderate rate. She kept distance with her reach and tried to find perch on his clothing to get him into a grapple. Slow and steady at the start was the best way to have a good spar, then ramping up as you go.

Desmond too kept his distance, he kept just out of his own arms reach as it would mean Ingrid would need to step in and go aggressive, he used Vai-to’s methodology of ‘all the way out’ fighting by periodically throw long kicks to send the ball of his foot to her shins and thighs as he shifted away trying to force her to try and stop him, either by closing the distance or trying to read his strikes.

Ingrid tried to read his strikes and catch one of his foots.

The moment Desmond sees Ingrid going to grab his foot, he leaned into the strike to make sure it plants firmly into where it is going rather than the lighter hits he’s done to annoy her. Desmond held himself back from changing his stance to transition out of the grapple he was going to get into as he wished to see how well she can do in transitioning without giving him wiggle room to get out.

Ingrid absorbed the strike and moved in, putting pressure on his inner knee to hopefully knock him down and get into a mount. The kicks hurt but Ingrid believes as long as she gets the mount she is fine.

The moment Ingrid started to take hold of Desmond’s leg, he went with her takedown as she got to a mount. Her skills were quite good, they had been practiced, yet they needed work. Her strength is lacking in some regards, while her precision was decent her speed seemed sluggish, it might be from her lack of use she might not feel perfectly comfortable in changing speeds, yet it was good enough. When desmond landed to his back he instantly shot his hips up to destabilize Ingrid as he closed up his guard. Desmond prepared to defend and was willing to bide his time to break out.

Ingrid lost her balance as he buckled his hips up, “Fuck”. She fell forward and in panic she tried to punch him on top of his head instead of salvaging her grapple. A shameful mount but Ingrid is not giving up yet.

Desmond noticed Ingrid began to panic in her spot, instead of fighting him to reestablish the grapple, she instead transitioned into a pounding with hammer fists to the top of his head. Desmond took a few hits to the top of his head before he established a guard as Ingrid continued to rain down blows. Then it finally came, Desmond found an opportunity to break out as he shot one of his legs out to drop his body to off-balance Ingrid again as he attempted to grab onto Ingrid’s hips before trying to roll her to put her to her back to finish with a mount transition.

Ingrid had hoped that the hammer fists would be more effective but instead he got a guard up. She kept hammering to keep him from reacting but he then flipped her. She got thrown onto her back and tried to stop full mount but she found herself too winded and was easily subdued.

Desmond found the mount lacking, it was too easy as when he fully mounted he saw on Ingrid’s face her exhaustion. Her face was red as she was heaving breaths with a guard loosely thrown up waiting for blows to rain down. Desmond disengaged the mount as he said, ”Alright, we’ll call it there”. Desmond stood up as he let out a sigh, he lightly patted himself down to clear himself of the dust.

Once desmond felt cleared enough he clapped his hands together as he said, ”Alright, you both did pretty decent for your first spar. You Zarra need to learn restraint when using magic as this was a test of control in dire situations, as the over-application of magic can lead to you injuring or killing your partner or opponent, which in the Trial’s will lead to us getting disqualified”. Desmond said with a smile and a nod, while he looked to Ingrid who was still recovering, ”While you Ingrid will need to get into a better condition. You have decent skills, and an okay intuition, yet some of them need to be refined, like your temper and your physique. You tired too quickly from this bit of exercise and a small bout. However, we’ll work on that sort of thing quite more rigorously as that exercising you did was the first set of what is normally 5 sets”. Desmond gave a small nod to Ingrid that she did well as he then finished with, ”Alright, any questions?”

Igrid gave a thumbs up as she continued to catch her breath. There should be more sets after this and she needs to be able to stand up to do them.

“So are we going to learn like a fighting style of some kind at all? I think having a general idea of what we’re supposed to be doing would better anchor our training focus. Me being so light I find myself always wanting to use Kinetic to give myself artificial agility, like you almost had to deal with there. Seriously, sorry about that, it’s impossible to believe you hit hard when you’re as scraggly as me”

”Well of course I have a style I am going with. Now seeing your skills I will be using your natural agility and dexterity to pivot you into Zebaka. Its emphasis on maintaining momentum and kinetic energy seems right up your alley. However, no matter what I teach you for fighting, you will need to have a much better physique as a whole”, Desmond said with a quick wave of the hand as he began to slowly walk around as he continued, ”The Trial’s is not just fighting, it is games of different forms with different levels of physical exertion in ways that could make it difficult to keep up, day after day without some assistance in other ways such as healing and Binding. Magic is a fantastic ability that makes lion of men, however, to fully rely on it would eventually wear you out in the long run by exerting yourself too much and injuring your manas which will affect you into even the next games. The more you can use not only magic but your physical body would mean you can physically exert yourself for longer. And if this eventually becomes a slugfest as the days drag on, the more you can recover, the better chance you have in the next rounds of the games”.

Desmond finally pivoted on his heel as he then looked to Zarra and Ingrid, ”So, our training will not change, it will be quite the same, however, the times when I am teaching you both fighting, I have very specific styles in mind for both of you to do, and both of them I am decently proficient in”.

"Isn't that the one where I do like a triple lutz backflip and launch people into landing with their face?" Zarra twirls in place on 1 foot to emphasize.

”Yep it is, hopefully you are able to actually perform the backflips without landing on your face” Desmond said with a smile and a chuckle before he looked to Ingrid and asked, ”Do you have any questions?”

“So you’re also going to teach us how to fight? I been trained a little in Kastäng before but never taught how to use it to fight. Or are we tossing that for something new?” Ingrid asked. She understood that although she may have some prior training, she may not be very good at it since it wasn’t something she practiced consistently.

”Well I am of two minds on it. With your build, your skills, and experience I think I have a style that could really use your innate height and already learned skills in grappling. But I also understand that you might want to stick with your home nation's traditional style as it is one you feel comfortable in”. Desmond said with a thought on his mind before shrugging and putting out first his left hand and then his right hand, ”So, I’ll give you the option. You can either stick with Kastang and I can start teaching you more in-depth on how to get aggressive with it. Or I can teach you Vai-to the style I was using against you, which uses either full range kicks or steps in for full body strikes and takedowns, which I find can become extremely useful for someone of your build and stature”.

Ingrid didn’t need long to think, “I think I will stick with Kastäng. We don’t have that much time before the trials. And besides, if you're willing to mix in some other skills, I promise I will learn them.” Ingrid was just estimating her skills and keeping with Kastäng and having strikes mixed into it just seemed more efficient than starting clean, maybe even worse off if she had to unlearn certain things.

Desmond gave a smile before clapping his hands and saying, ”Alright, with that settled, break time over, now time to get back to those 4 sets you owe me. If you wanna make it to dinner you better start now”. Desmond spoke those words while never breaking his smile.

As the training lasted a few more hours before they had finally finished, as at that point they had neared and were forced to face their limits before the training was over. Desmond always stood by with his smile as he called out exercise after exercise, giving little time for rest. Once it was finished Desmond loomed over the two tired bodies as he said, ”Great job, you both made it through the first day, now let’s go get some Zeno Buck’s, I’m parched”.

"I usually just get milk, I don't like anything else" Zarra says, trying to add to the conversation.

Ingrid decided to flex her other muscle, her RAS and fly them over. Ingrid listened to Zarra and said, “You should still drink some coffee! It will energize you and keep you going. Remember we are still seeing eachother after school. I recommend a large Cafe au Lait, extra milk and 4 servings of honey since it can be bitter for children” Ingrid didn’t even give Zarra a smug look. She just kept flying.

Desmond chuckled as he heard Ingrid sling out a roast towards Zarra about his choice of drink. As they landed near the stand Desmond approached the stand and made his order which was quite a simple one, ”1 large Black Coffee”. Once ordered Desmond looked to the others as he made a light bow and a sweeping gesture for them to order as well.

Zarra seems to be thinking about his drink more than he’s ever have in his life, “Go ahead and order, I’m still choosing.” Somehow he’s indecisive when there’s only 7 things on the menu.

“Okay,” Ingrid went up to the counter to order. Seeing that it was one of the usual workers, Ingrid smiled and asked for the usual, a large Cafe au Lait. Ingrid just loved a little milk in her coffee.

The binder ultimately decides, opting for something more creative today. “I’ll have a large milk with 3 servings of honey in it, I’ll also take a Brioche.” The cashier of that day sort of gives him a mildly confused look, but ultimately accepts the order.

Desmond listened to each of their orders as when he heard Zarra’s order Desmond laughed as he said, ”Is the milk too strong for your pallet las? Do they need to add sugar for you?”

Zarra snorted back immediately, knowing Desmond or Ingrid were gearing him up for hazing “Is the honey gonna be too strong for your laundry?” Clearly implying he’s going to dump the drink on him.

Desmond laughed as he said, ”Not at all, I wear cloths not silk, it’ll come out fine”. As he lightly patted Zarra on the back as he was jesting, while also preparing for the drink to come to be wary of it.

Ingrid listened in knowing Zarra wouldn’t dump it on her if he valued his hand. But to be sure she spoke out, “Zarra you can dump it on me but you will be buying me new clothes and paying for my next 20 drinks. Got it?” She felt the financial burden would keep him away.

“20 drinks? My Shune, I better buy you an umbrella too.”

“If you would be so kind to at least get me some earplugs, you cry like a Perrench girl”

“Literally why does that bother you? It was your idea to turn me into a pincushion, and you have the audacity to complain about my screams, why you gotta have so many double standards?” Despite the blatant bullying, Zarra seems mostly unphased by it, seeing it as play rather than an actual threat.

Seeing that he sees this as play makes Ingrid feel at ease but him saying this infront of Zeno Bucks makes Ingrid cautious. She weighed what she should say but elected to retreat back her statement as what he said could be easily construed as her being a terrible women, “Oh Zarra, you know I only jest. Besides, this is your research, we can stop at any time.” She wanted to move any suspicion off of her to him if some religious folk took it as her performing Blood Magic.

Zarra, still not really seeming to grasp that what he said could be taken poorly out of context, answers back. “I did sign a contract that I basically wasted your time on, I’m pretty sure that’s my own fault. Plus, we did promise to try everything, even the less than stellar stuff.” He touches his hand in subconscious relief, thanking the gods he is a binder and can undo all superficial wounds.

Ingrid really needed to get out of here before Zarra made her seem even worse. Luckily her coffee was done. She took it and left at a fast pace. Dropping the needed money with the worker.

Zarra took his milk and honey combo and dumped a piece of his Perrench pastry into it, finding it surprisingly enjoyable and compliments himself for the decision.

Desmond sighed as he watched Ingrid left in a hurry, he knew why, the conversation was leading somewhere that could paint them both in a terrible light, and Desmond did not want to get involved. Desmond looked to Zarra as he then grabbed his drink and said while walking away, ”Good job, Prince Charming. Welp see ya for our next Training Session”.

Their interactions officially end as Zarra stands there, left wondering what ‘prince charming’ is supposed to mean when Ingrid was the one who brought up screaming of all things.

Ismael listened as the plan was given, Annya and Bardulf were to head off together as he gave a wave to them once they headed off as he said, "Good Luck you tow, hope you guys don't get butt hurt about losing". Ismael said with a cheeky smile as he nodded to the Dwarf who talked to him, "Yeah I know we are to work as a team, I do want to beat them. However, I also think it'll be fun to compete with each other, it might make us try and reach higher". Ismael said with a more genuine smile as he took the Devil's Reach from his back and set it into his hands as he checked and loaded a steel projectile in before closing up the gun and nodding to Bron as Ismael said, "Agreed".

Ismael agreed with Bron that they should not be away for long, even though they were here today to have fun, if the enemy were here they would not allow them to just relax and have fun. This was war and they did need to at least take those precautions. As Ismael headed off with Bron, following the shorter man as he seemed to have some familiarity with this kind of landscape. His feet landed with such assuredness and deftness that someone like Ismael could tell that he was one to have frequented terrains like this.

Tarak saw the Jenner get lit up, multiple missles, lasers, explosive round tore into the light mech. As multiple destroyed pieces of the Battlemech come apart Tarak felt as if he laid one more shot in, it was gone. Desperado took hold of the grip as he began to lead the target for the moment he was to hit the larger rocks, either he would tear off one of the legs to make it go down in a hell field of rocks and hail, or tear out the other jumpjet and make the Battlemech go critical. Yet right when he was to pull the trigger, and alarm went off in Tarak's ear as he threw himself in front of Ziska's Battlemech.

Tarak's Battlemech shook as missles bore down onto it, yet he was right where he needed to be. Alleycat didn't get torn up anymore, Tarak let out a sigh as he felt the shaking stop. Tarak heard Alleycat key up her thanks and her proclamation of retreat as the Black Phoenix gave her a thumbs up. As Tarak turned back and prepared to start his retreat as well. Tarak went over and grabbed his cargo bin as he began to leave with it, as he noticed Giggles seemed to almost be taunting the Longbow to only go after her and her Battlemech.

Tarak keyed in his mic as he called out to her, "Giggles, tee up with me, I'll stick with the vehicles, just make sure we don't get snuck up on. The storm will make the effective range of that bastard no where near us, but that also includes us". Black Pheonix continued to drag the container behind it as it kept up with the vehicles in case they were to become targets of a random salvo of missles coming down with the hai or a Battlemech decided to try and get one last hit and run in.

Questions

Mentions/Interaction:Queen Astrid, Inga, Arne'altan'jaros, The Skygge @Force and Fury

The Sun began reaching over the roofs and walls of Meldheim, as it began to warm the roads and homes as it seemed to almost create a thin mist. Yet within the training grounds of the King of King's estate, a thick mist seemed to almost envelop the area Kol and his opponent Arne'altan'jaros were dueling in. As the moments of crashing blade versus metal made enough force to blast small holes in the mist. Kol was methodical in his fighting, he shifted and moved to anticipate how Arne would move, yet the skills of the yasoi 'Mage-Hunter' make even any movement unpredictable. Kol's attacks seemed almost to supernaturally find themselves always moments too fast or slow as his attacks missed, yet his senses were quick and sharp enough where when attacks were to also be thrown at Kol he shifted, swayed, and moved out of the way of attacks. Inches of distance Kol originally gave himself turned to centimeters, as Kol constantly dodge the same way when he was getting attacked by the same attack, a teleporting slash to the back left side. Kol always dodged by swaying his body forward and twisting, showing his back to the Yasoi as he passed by.

Kol decided to start taunting the man, doing moves that are quite showy and showing little care, as he shifted and moved just outside of the 'Mage-Hunters' reach. Kol used this to almost say that even if he was to show Arne his back, he'd be unable to even touch Kol. As that was the moment Arne did his same jump, pouncing forward and about to run into a hit before he leaped through space and time, as Kol dodged the same way he always did when Arne lept through time and did a backslash from the left, bending forwards and tilting his body away from the blade. Yet this time Arne had teleported and now was prepared, as Kol would show his back to the yasoi, as instead of a left-handed slash, it was a slash coming down onto Kol's back. Kol was not one to have gotten predictable, not this easily, as he planned from the beginning that this was going to be the finish, as from his position, Kol had few options, without the gift. Kol twisted his body and used force energy to fling him into the air as his body twisted around the arc of the blade before his body twisted in the air and grabbed onto the shoulders of the 'Mage-Hunter' and pulled him along in his swing as Kol and Arne would land on the ground with Kol shifting Arne into a grapple with both of Kol's arms underneath the yasoi's arms and behind his head to force the younger man to submit.

Once Kol and Arne rose from the floor, Kol patted the younger man on the back as he gave thanks for the spar that Arne had given to Kol as Kol gave a few tips and pointers to make Arne a better duelist, it was not something he needed to focus on with his actual skill sets, however, if he ever found himself in a dueling scenario, he should at least remember some of this. As once Kol gave the proper seal of approval for Arne'altan'jaros the 'Mage-Hunter' to be the ninth member of the Æresvaktr, Kol put back on his clothing and before giving a farewell to Queen Astrid, Arne, and his favorite Niece, Inga. As Kol traveled the city once more, he was crowded by countless men and women who are coming to him to either take them with him when he is to return to the war front or to take them. Kol's later morning was almost identical to his early morning he had to walk through the city and he was constantly crowded and never given some time to himself. Yet this time he was looking forward to it, it took his mind off of where he was to go next.

Kol had walked maybe a half hour to a large property removed from the city proper. There he found a modest farmhouse of fieldstone and thatched roofing that reminded him of some of the homes he knew from his own homeland. Yet what pulled him away from his thoughts was meeting the farmer who lived on this land, The Skygge. She seemed both youthful and yet ancient, she seemed strange, as her scent was odd to Kol, like something familiar yet very different. Apparently, she was some immortal, one who feasted upon others, yet she seemed calm and cordial, as she seemed to have offered him a gift, a simple one, yet he was not one to turn down a gift, he was here for a reason.

Kol came closer as he gave a light nod as he said, "Ah, thank you kindly". As Kol took the Brandæble, he took a bite from the fruit, it was small in his hands, as it was quite easy to take a bite bigger than one expected, yet Kol was much prepared for the many feelings it was to give. Kol was often given brandæbles when he was younger to assist his learning of the Gift, while using the minor visions could have within them may help some, by this point he finds them to be more entertainment rather than to assist him in his training, as his depths with the gift is much greater where he can create visions much stronger than the ones the little brandæbles give.

Kol finished his bite as he looked to the Skygge as and said with a calm voice, ”Would you like to speak here or would you prefer somewhere else?"

“We are here now,” replied the woman, the hint of an enigmatic smile lifting one corner of her lips. “Though I sense you would rather not be.” Her eyes bore into him for a moment, evaluative. “I sense you have done a great many things recently that you’d have rather not.” Brandæbles often took some time to work their magic, especially for one as large as Kol, and it had done nothing for him yet aside from filling his mouth and insides with a warm, sweet, spiciness. “So you may speak, and I may speak in turn if you allow me,” she concluded.

Kol gave a light nod as heard the woman speak her mind of his question and seemed to pry further into him. It was not something Kol was new to, Kol normally wore his emotions on his sleeve, yet the way this woman did it, it felt almost as if she could see something else, it was lightly disturbing to Kol as he let out a sigh. Kol looked to the woman as he spoke, ”Very well. As you know I am here to evaluate, approve, and bring two new members into the Æresvaktr. As with my presence here, you should know you were one of the chosen. I will be quite honest, I dislike the idea, you joining the Æresvaktr fills me with much distaste. So if you will, give me a reason why I should approve of your joining”. Kol was calm and watchful at the same time, he was wary and at ease, as he watched and waited for what could be anything. A cordial talk or a possible death match, with this woman, Kol was not sure.

The Skygge smiled faintly, turning her back momentarily to bend down and pluck another ripe-looking apple. “You are more honest than most,” she admitted, seizing the fruit. “They always fear what I will do if I don’t like what they have to say.” She twisted and shook her head, coming up with the Brandæble. “The truth is that I would rather not go.” She shrugged easily. “I live peacefully here and feed upon the bandits and the vagabonds who would make these hills their home and menace travelers.” She took a handful of her skirts and began polishing the fruit. “But I must do what I don’t want to, just as you must, and we must lose this foolish war together that our king has called.”

A war that is a loss before the next battle has been set, how easily could this have been predicted Kol wondered. He was uneasy, yet he also could feel it himself, the first battle was one very different, it was one where many Eskandr lost their lives, and they barely took anything other than to the land t wage war there. Kol could only think of why they were there, the many who are to die in this losing war. Kol thought of his people and the much they sacrificed for this war.

Kol sighed as he brought himself back to the moment as he spoke, ”Maybe, maybe this is a war that was lost”. Kol sighed as he lightly rubbed his eyes before he continued, ”Yet I believe in this case, there are some things I can do. Firstly, keeping some dignity, you may keep your peaceful life here, it is not one I wish to disturb”. Kol waved his hand lightly as he then made it known to the woman across from him, ” I, Kol, King of Strumreef, 4th seat of the Æresvaktr will not approve of your induction. As that is my right as Underking”. Kol gave a light nod as he awaited her response, if good or bad.

“Good,” she replied. “Now, I am free to travel as a private individual, away from the notoriety such a position would bring.” Her eyes narrowed. “My people need me,” she said quietly but firmly. “But I serve best far from the spotlight. Surely, you would not try to stop me?”

Kol heard the woman as she spoke as one who wished to protect something of hers. Kol has a smirk come to his face, something familiar was found within the Shadow. Something Kol could not deny as something similar to himself. Kol began to turn as he waved with a chuckle, ”Do as you please, for at this point you are a private individual. I am not one to deny one’s wishes, especially when they will do it even without my consent”.

“There is one small thing,” she added. “I may be many things, but a boat, I am not, nor do I have one in my possession. Might I travel with you when you depart, incognito?”

Kol heard the woman as she asked for him to allow her to travel with him upon his departure, and all he did was chuckle as he said, ”I suppose you may, Please do keep your presence little felt among some of the crew. Many would find me mad even thinking of allowing you”.

She bowed quite gracefully. “You are a wise king as they say, but be aware. There are wolves among your flock. I have sensed them at work”. The blustery wind had picked up again and both were forced to shield their eyes for a moment. When Kol looked up, she was gone without a trace. Leaving Kol to wonder as he made his way back to the city proper, what she means.

Arsène stared the older man down as if he was not going to move, Sweyn Thunderspear, for every legend he was, he was also a rather imposing man. From one moment Sweyn went from wallowing in a pit of his own despair, to then spewing words slicked with poison and then a provocation for battle. Arsène was never showing a sign of backing down however, he looked Sweyn dead in the eyes as the moment Arsène was to take hold of the blade to his side, Hell broke loose.

A thunderous thoom shook the very earth, the sky, and the very hearts of men. Arsène looked to the direction of the sound and al that could leave his mouth was, "Bloody hell". It was a sight that seemed as if hell had let loose their gate keeper, a large dark beast cut through the night, darker than the night it self, and spewed fire that was brighter than the day. It was a beast that incinerated all in it's path, smoke never appeared from the initial fires, no, it was as if the fires themselves burned the air, smoke, nothing was left. As the beasts wings flapped, the wound within the earthen mound spewed smoke that seems to mask the sky and blot out the stars, as now the dragon above was the only thing producing light, that and the fires it creates.

Arsène looked to the creature and all he could do is watch in awe. It was as if hell played a sick joke on them all, as they wanted to turn the table upside down. Yet it seemed Heaven had other plans, as rolling thunders came in, as if the Heavens came to punish the Hells. Streaks of light punched through the darkness, illuminating the beast held within the blackness the sky has became. Arsène noticed the rider of pure white riding with such tremendous force that every step his horse took it seemed to crackle the ground with power, as that was when his feet began moving.

Arsène ran forward as he put his fingers to his mouth as he whistled, as he made the sound become loud enough to even pierce the thunderous sounds of the gods. Arsène continued to run until he noticed from the corner of his eye his trusty steed, Blackthorn, made his appearance. Arsène took hold of the rein and leaped up and landed into the saddle as he began riding off, using Essence and Force to give his steed and increased speed. Blackthorn made great strides forward, charging into hell, as with every lightning strike and roar Arsène could feel his steed become nervous, so he filled Blackthorn with Essance to calm him and allowed him to charge forward without worry.

Arsène quickly broke through the lines of fleeing people, as he knew 1 of 2 things, this dragon dies or they do. As Arsène strode forward he witnessed every Lance of Lightning rip it's way through the sky as it smashed against the Hellish beast above them. Lance after Lance, as Arsène did his hardest to just close the distance, yet as he neared Sweyn and his explosive power, he felt his body begin to fill with such energy and he felt as if he was to puke, which after the fourth lance of lightning was let loose Arsène did as he tilted his head to the side and let it out as he was riding. Yet once the final one fell, Arsène heard the roar of armies, cheers erupted from behind him as Arsène saw for a moment the Devil fell from the sky, and so too did Sweyn.

Arsène was much slower at the moment, the release of energy was enough to affect him, especially from how close he was to the sorce of this maelstrom of energy. Arsène was overtaken by Queen Eleanor as she charged forward to Sweyn, as the moment Arsène made it to Sweyn, Arsène saw the terrible state Sweyn was in. Thoughts ran through his head, Gods what should we do? We have this monster in our hands. Maybe we can use this for our benefit. Maybe we could even force the Eskandr to- Arsène was cut off from his thoughts as a roar silenced everything. Arsène turned his head and all that could leave his mouth was, "Good Fucking Gods".

Arsène watched as the Hell Beast ripped itself from the earth and came to bear down upon Arsene, Queen Eleanor, and the small army that followed their Queen. Arsène watched the inferno coming down onto them and was surprised they were spared. Brimstone and Hellfire seemed to have only scorched them in slight measure, but it almost seemed unintended to kill. Arsène felt the heat, is was close, yet far with all things considered, as the radiant heat seemed to burn the skin, yet Arsène did not falter. Arsène watched the Beast fly off, and a thought of leaving crossed his mind, yet he remebered who they had in their grasp.

Council was called, Arsène rose up and gave his piece, "Queen Eleanor, that Demon is right now sleeping in a lake, I believe hitting it now would be our only time to hit it and stop this beast from rampaging more". Arsène looked to Sweyn as he took a moment, "It did take quite a powerful Sorcerer to injure it on his own, yet now it is wounded and on the ground-". Arsène then looked back to the council as he then continued, "To bring a beast like that to the ground is a feat, and one we can use. If not as an actual weapon, a tool. The Eskandr will want one of their greatest warriors back, so we can at least force them to negotiate terms for their Prisoners, and if more so, we could even strong arm them to…". Arsène stopped for a moment as if he remembered something as he sighed, Arsène looked to Sweyn once more as he remembered what the man said.

Arsène sighed as he looked back to Eleanor with some more clearity, "I don't think we can find any aid in our enemy, for them they will not find this any threat to them and their own. As they are not here just to claim land, they wish to destroy Parrence-". As Arsène winced, he looked to Sweyn as he continued, "-To the very soil, to the very last bone. No matter the cost, to them or their Humanity. I believe the best we can do with Sweyn is use him as a bartering tool, other than that, I believe we should take on the beast".

Arsène seemed to have changed in demenor, less like a worried man and more to a hunter as he began to speak on how they would try t deal with it, "If we were to hit it soon, with it sleeping in the lake and the beast seeming to be steaming the water, that would mean that it must be unable to regulate it's own heat, like when you are unable to sweat and you start to over heat. We might be able to either take it down, or at least force it to leave if we use fire and heat to our advanatge to fight it.". Arsène then realized he had taken up much of the 3 minutes as many are looking at him like he is some kind of bug, so once Arsène gave this piece, he cleared his throat as he began to take a step back to allow others to give their onw ideas. He did feel like he did overstep slightly as he hogged a good bit of the talk, yet he had quite a bit of things he wanted to say. Even now he was building a plan in his mind as he spoke for that bit of time.
